Plan on arriving early to grab free street parking + shoes you feel comfortable walking in. Seating is somewhat informal, so bring a blanket to sit on a grass hill or a chair for sitting at the top of the hill. I also always bring my dog! This is a free event to attend, but there is a collection for donations mid show + intermission for snacks and grilled items. Bring some cash to keep this local group funded and keep the magic coming back to Minneapolis each summer.

Punctuated by a rocking sound track this up beat show follows (loosely) the story of Peter Pan interspersed with some very talented skiing. Show starts at 7 on summer Thursdays right on the Mississippi River with plenty of space on the river bank to spread out a blanket or set up a couple of camp chairs. Free street parking is available but you may walk a bit to the main site. Tip: best viewing is near the sound booth. Cost? Zero!! But they do take up an offering at halftime to defray some expenses so bring some cash along. There's a small concession stand selling hot dogs drinks chips and candy. Highly recommended outing on a summer night in Minneapolis.

We got Club Deck tickets, where we got unlimited food, soft drinks, and 3 adult beverages. Good deal, good seats. The Loggers didn't play too well this game, but the biggest downfall was the Ballpark DJ. This person played music between every pitch...every...pitch. It was overstimulating and made the game unenjoyable halfway through. You couldn't just enjoy the game. The playlist was small, on repeat, and just not reading the room well. The announcer was on top of his game, though and helpful with live and between-innings updates.

Prices are going up and a lot of portions are getting smaller. Certain items we just stopped buying. The soft pretzels are good, but they changed the cheese last year. It's now a white cheese that tastes terrible. I'm sure they went with a cheaper brand. The chicken breast fillets used to be good, but this year they're smaller and dry. The popcorn is good, when it isn't too salty and the price went way up. Cheese curds and onion rings are in very small portions and average about a dollar for each piece of food. We wouldn't mind paying about money if the portions were a decent size. Not happy and not going to buy a lot of that stuff anymore. One thing I find hilarious is the over priced ice cream cones. There have been a lot of regulars at the games who stopped buying them as of last year. You get a small cone with no ice cream in it at all and the so-called one scoop is more like a half a scoop, perched on top of the cone. We've started to eat our meals before we go to the game, when before, we always had our dinner at the game. Costs a lot less, tastes better, and saves us a lot of money!

He told us we were in a side section. After signing back into Ticketmaster and proving we were in the correct seats (with other people telling him what section we were in), he wanted to leave the other couple in our second row seats and have us move. All this time we were all blocking the show for those behind us. Plus we missed the start of the show. We finally were allowed back into our seats without an apology. I was so mad that I didn't enjoy the show. Staff need to know the sections and how to treat people.

Very similar in architecture and space, it is a unique change of scenery for conferences and events that I usually attend in the Twin Cities. I was expecting this space to be much smaller than other venues since it is in Rochester but it is actually very adequate in showcasing large events and activities. I was impressed by the amount of events and shows that are sponsored through this space, as well as bigger ticket names coming through. I will have to start checking their calendar to see what comes through since I only live an hour out from Rochester. The Civic Center is located right in the heart of Rochester off of the river so it is really easy finding parking or somewhere to eat as well as navigating while in downtown.
