They didn't have baked beans, but cooked the pinto beans such that it had a nice gravy. No sugar was added to emulate baked beans, just good flavor without the fuss. Second platter that I ordered was spicy barbecue fried chicken, spaghetti, greens, and another cornbread muffin. Loved the kick to the spicy barbecue chicken. I appreciate the spaghetti not being sweet. There was enough bitter to the greens that I wonder if they were picked fresh. You can tell when someone does too much to canned greens to mask the fact that they're canned. I didn't get that impression with these greens. As to the cornbread muffin, it is more dessert than savory. Beware if you are a cornbread snob. Kimmy's is not a sit-down type of restaurant. You order for takeaway.
