If you're vegan, you have to eat here! If you''re not vegan, you have to eat here!! We just happened upon this delicious gem today, and will be back soon. It's delightful to find a place where the owner/chef takes such care of patrons and has such pride in what he serves. The menu is varied enough that almost any food preference/needs can be served. My husband is gluten free and he had wonderful grilled shrimp tacos. I prefer plant based, although I'm not really a vegetarian, and I wish I could have had 6 different dishes for lunch. I had the vegan tacos today, I loved them, and I'll be back to try something else soon! Go Jean's is a prize. read more

The service and the food was great. The restaurant was clean. The food was cooked to order by the owner Chuck. We had the vegan bbq tips, the vegan po'boy and she the vegan gyros. After a great first outing a couple weeks ago, our second visit was highly disappointing because they took my order over yelp but weren't actually open on a Friday at 5pm. When they're on they're on but when they're not...Good food and a rare spot to have some fun vegan options but they'll have to win me back after the runaround they caused me. We had the vegan rib tips, side salad and mushroom burger. The rib tips are fire, absolutely delicious. The right texture and the sauce is really good. The servings are on the small side and they use paper and plastic containers. The French fries are tasty and the vegetarian burgers with vegan cheese are righteous. My mom got the Turkey burger and I got the grilled 3 shrimp tacos. Both came with fries. The fries were fresh cut with the skin on. It reminded me of Cajun fries. The tacos were delicious. My niece told me about this spot after I told her that I could never find a restaurant in the Suburbs, I have been trying to go Vegan for approx 8 months give or take. Some restaurants good, some not so good. So me, my Aunt and my Sister went to Glo Jean's Kitchen. I was suggesting to get the gyro, which I was skeptical of getting, because I have had some pretty disappointment when it came to the Gyro, but Chuck ( I believe that's his name-forgive if not) and the cashier swear by it, saying it's one of the favorite on the menu. He had so much trust behind it, he told me if I didn't like it he would refunded no questions asked. Baby let me tell you Mr. Chuck did not tell the truth that B B Q pull pork knocked my shoes off, then that Gyro also had me like Okay Okay. That Gyro was so meaty and tasty. This food is definitely food that a person that is non-vegan will love. Also, I want to call Mr. Chuck when I got home to tell him how good his food was but they was closed. Finally a vegan restaurant there. I can finally enjoy, and do not have to drive so far out to get some decent food thank you I'm so glad They're in the Suburbs , I will be back. The jerk turkey burger sliders are amazing! There were three in the box when I got them and only one left when I got home! Delicious flavors and flavor combos, and the fries were great, too!
