Good Doc; Inept, Disorganized Office Manager…read more I would like to rate the doc (4 stars) apart from the manager, (0 stars), but the doc is ultimately responsible for the business. And, it is a business. If you do not have health insurance, or are not part of an insurance network, take caution. Why? Read on. If cost is not important to you, or you have great insurance, read no further. 1. I asked each visit how much it was going to cost since I had to pay out of pocket, and was unemployed, which they knew. I did not receive a definitive answer from either doc nor manager. In fact, it changed from visit to visit. 2. I was given the option to make payments, but was never given a final statement and did not know the total cost. 3. An account statement was never mailed to me, however, a collection letter was. 4. I asked for a price closer to what insurance companies would negotiate. The answer received was, "I don't know what to tell you. Some are billed differently than others." In other words, we charge out-of-pocket customers whatever we can. If that's not enough: 5. I arrived for one appointment and was told the doc was not in that day. I was not given a courtesy call to let me know not to come in. 6. The orthopedic inserts are good, but I still have pain, in limb and pocketbook.

His office manager, Christine, was quickly able to get me an appointment. While other doctors I had seen were pushing pain meds/steroids, Dr. Durrant knew that was NOT a good long term solution. He was sympathetic and understanding to my situation. Based on my appointment he could tell that my nerve was quite compromised... and Dr. Durrant thoroughly explained my options. Fast forward three months, and I'm on the road to recovery. Without him, I likely would have experienced permanent nerve damage, and would still be experiencing numerous symptoms. My prognosis has significantly improved because of his prompt support and guidance. I'm extremely grateful for his care

To be 100% honest and transparent, I wasn't expecting much. I knew very little about the chiropractic business or anything that it entailed and initially, we went in for our daughter who continues to see Dr. Stear to this day. My initial visit was positive, we discussed what I was looking to get from chiropractic care, both short and long-term goals. After my first real visit (adjusting, stretching, spinal health info) I could already feel the difference in my body. After my 4th or 5th visit, my headaches were gone. As someone who has suffered from daily headaches and weekly migraines, I can say today, less than two years after starting chiropractic care (realistically it was like a month) I am now 99% headache-free. I can't even remember the last time I had a migraine. I would encourage anyone who suffers like I did to please give chiropractic care a chance, it changed my life for the better and I continue to see lifestyle improvements after every visit.
