Please note - food comes with boiled potatoes (perfectly cooked) and a mixed salad of lettuce, onions, and tomatoes (no dressing, vinegar and olive oil on the side). The squid was cooked perfectly with a lot (a pool) of olive oil (we dipped the potatoes in it), cilantro, and a ton of garlic. Exactly how I like it, but if you don't love garlic, be aware. We spent a month in the Algarve and ended up dining here at least 10 out of 30 nights. We kept trying to find another restaurant that could compare--and never did. The food is authentic Portuguese cuisine at its finest. The clams, made from the owner's grandmother's recipe, are hands-down the best I've ever had in my life. Honestly, it doesn't matter what you order--everything on the menu is exceptional. Be adventurous. You won't regret it. The restaurant is family-owned and family-run, which adds so much to the experience. Vitor runs the kitchen and delivers incredible food every single night. His wife Ines runs the front with grace and warmth. Luan and Joah were there every evening we visited, offering some of the best service we've ever experienced anywhere--professional, kind, and genuinely caring. The ambiance is casual, quiet, and cozy--it truly feels like home. Every guest is welcomed like family, and this incredible team goes above and beyond to make each night memorable.
