After visiting one of the stops with my tour group, i opted not to take the bus back to the hotel…read morewith everyone else and instead walked back. We had the afternoon and evening on our own anyhow and i wanted to explore and find someplace that was outside of the touristy areas.
After getting lost for a bit, i finally got my bearings and headed toward the hotel. I found a few places that i might stop in for a bite but some were just coffee shops, others, i walked into then got intimidated by them not having an english menu or pictures. I finally told myself, the next place that has food, I'm going to eat there.
I walked in and it was a nice little bar, i looked over the menu and drew a total blank, there were some words that i understood but for the most part knew almost nothing. The waitress helped as well as she could and went over the menu with me and pointed out items that she knew the english to.
I ordered a beer which came with olives which were really good, the beer was nice and cold and hit the spot. I liked how they kept the beer glasses in cold water in a bucket on the bar. The pour of the beer was only half the glass but it was only 1.30€ each so no problems there.
I ended up ordering croquettes and a spinach (2.50€ each), the croquettes were nice and crispy and tender and soft inside. So good, the spinach was good but i wish i could have chose something more exciting, but it was good and also filling.
The beer was really good, very smooth and refreshing, so i ordered another one since its only a half glass. My total bill was under 8€ which was awesome!
Great little place thats away from the tourist area, it's where locals eat, so i was glad to find it, i just wish i understood the menu better.
