On Wednesday, May 12, 2026 I reached out to Logan Square Auto Repair to get a "free estimate" on my…read more2019 Lincoln MKC to replace the rear trailing arms. I provided them with the information requested and was sent a text with the estimate. I then asked about the Costco 15% voucher and a time to bring the car in for repair. Their responds was I needed to bring the car in to the shop for a physical inspection to provide an accurate estimate. I brought the car to you on Friday May 14, 2026 asking for the estimate on the trailing arms and inquired about the dash board lights. They asked for 2 hours of time to prepare this. I received the estimate for the repairs along with an inspection report and quotes for 17 other "issues", I did not request an inspection of any kind. When I return to retrieve the car and finalize the repairs I ask a couple of question, first will they honor the Costco voucher and timing to have the repairs completed. Here are my challenges with the transaction, I had temporary access to these estimates and was locked out once I paid the fee of $81.00 ($77.,25 actual debit transition), your website states a free estimate but you charged me and then restricted my access. The garage has a deal with Costco to take 15% off the total bill but when asked I was told you would take 10% on part and 15% on labor. The texted estimate was $1610.00 prior to me asking about the Costco discount and the realtime estimate was $1750 as I recalling only being able to view it prior to lockout. Most concerning was your raid silent when I called to follow up on Saturday as requested by you, I called around 8:30 AM , followed up with a text at around 11 AM and another at 2:15 PM and as on this email there has been no response. The work has been completed by another garage and its is worth pointing out in this review it was completed at a cost of 1/2 what Logan Square Garage was going to charge me. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST, it is a money grab.

I've always had a good experience in working with this auto shop until today…read more.. A few months ago I took my car in to get my brake pads replaced. Mike told me I needed to pay for this $125 "diagnostic" service that gives him a full overview of anything that needs to be fixed on the car. The diagnostic came back that I needed a new TPM sensor (tire pressure monitor). He said that he didn't have the part at the time but I could come back and he would order it for me. I left and went on my merry way. Mon AM I finally decide I need to get that sensor replaced. I called Erie and talked to the receptionist. I told her the situation and that I needed Mike to order the TPM sensor so I could get it fixed. Unsure if I needed 1 or multiple of these sensors she said to bring the car in Weds at 8am and Mike could take a look. I specifically said "do I need to leave my car or is it something he can just look at and tell me on the spot. I'd hate to have to leave my car for the day, pick it up, order the part then drop it off again to get it fixed..." She confirms that he can take a quick look and tell me on the spot. Fast forward to this morning - get there at 8am and the place is packed. I get that, everyone is dropping their cars off for the day. I patiently wait to talk to Mike, who is less than friendly at this point. He tells me to leave my keys and he'll take a look today. I let him know that I cannot do that today and his receptionist specifically told me it could be looked at without leaving my car. He says "oh, no way. I have to get a technician to look at it and put it up. You'll have to schedule time with the receptionist to come back." Truly wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world if he apologized for the receptionist providing false information and wasting time out of my day. Absolutely no apology or no care in the world for the inconvenience it caused me. There's too many auto shops in the area to deal with a place that provides conflicting information and doesn't value a customer. I'll take my biz elsewhere.

A couple of weeks ago, I met with an accident at the corner of Eerie and Ashland. Mike and his team were extremely comforting, calming, genuine and trustworthy. He not only gave me free estimates to fix my 13 year old car, but also gave me alternate options of selling the car. He also allowed me to park the car in his lot at no charge due to circumstances I presented my situation that morning. He meticulously worked with multiple other businesses to have my car sold, and gave me periodic follow ups. Within a week, I was able to sell the car with minimal to no work on my end, and all the necessary paperwork was completed by him and his team. Mike diligently worked with me and I was able to gain his trust quickly. He truly works for the customer, and listens to their needs. He gives the right advise without being a salesman, and clearly demonstrates passion and professionalism in his work. I highly recommend Mike, his team and Eerie collision center to all West town, east village, Ukrainian village and the rest of Chicago. Thank you for all you do in our neighborhood!!!!

I had been taking my car around to a few different shops in the area, and wasn't really having any luck, so I was pretty exhausted by trying to explain everything, but right away, they were just like "we'll just do a full inspection of everything!" I wasn't fully confident that they'd catch much (as other shops had not been able to catch anything going on). I took the car in right as they closed on a Wednesday, and by like 10am the next morning, I was sent a link to TekMetric - an app they use to document their entire process, including photos, diagnoses, and individual notes from the tech. The total on the repairs was MUCH higher than I anticipated, and I was a bit freaked out, but when I called them, I spoke with the person who inspected my car, and we went through each item individually over the phone, and discussed what was immediate safety concerns, things I SHOULD do but could get away with, and things that are more preventative measures that will need to be addressed down the line. They were very upfront with me about the timeline, which was a very quick turnaround. I've seriously have never been so impressed with a shop before. Their labor cost per hour was a little bit higher than what I saw from other local shops, but honestly, for this level of service, and how confident I was moving forward with the work, it was worth it.
