She was attentive and patient and a wonderful teacher couldn't thank her enough. All the front desk receptionist were very sweet and kind. She's patient, supportive, and takes the time to make sure everyone is comfortable with what we're learning. What stands out most is her hands-on, real-world approach to teaching. She prepares us for what to expect in an actual dental office, which has really helped build my confidence. It's clear she genuinely cares about her students and their success. I'm grateful to be learning from her. The homework load was not stressful for me. Learning with the other students has been so much fun. I highly recommend this school to anyone who'd like a future in dental assisting. If you'd like to be a dental receptionist, this school teaches you all the dental terminology. It's great for both! You also get a nice pair of scrubs, and your BLS (CPR) certicate included!!! I was nervous about changing careers. After a few weeks here, my confidence for my future has skyrocketed. Thank you Smile Academy!

I stick and try to interact with the best and do my DD before taking a class. For the most part my professors have been 5/5 awesome and go above and beyond. The custodial are super chill and the aids are nice too. My main gripe is the Wi-Fi and data in the science building on the second floor is absolutely garbage. I strongly believe the school did that on purpose because mine (and so many others) have no service on that floor whatsoever. Go one floor above or below and it's good. We are not children and some of us are emergency contacts or have work so not having service is an issue. Especially since I tutor there and have been at all the open labs including club stuff. Also sometimes I have to turn my phone off and on to get service back which is crazy. That alone could be a reason for 0 stars but I do really like the staff and people here. They are nice and helpful. Also so beware the bookstore can be a hassle. There can be a lot of issues. It took me two semesters to get a printer but I got it after asking like 3-4x a week for a couple months. The coordination is not the best but if you push you will get the result you desire. There are many services available like DRC and EOPS available for students. Take advantage of you don't know my opinion is ask Chat gpt for all the info with links and it will give it to you in a easy to access format rather than dealing with the website. I would definitely recommend going here. For a CC it is quite lovely. They have so many things including a makerspace in the library!

Please do your research/due diligence…read more Finished the Sterile Processing Program September 2025, passed the board exam November 2025. After getting licensed, we were supposed to be placed in externships. Unfortunately the communication from the school stopped with no explanations. As of today April 15, 2026 entire class did not get any externships so we are all doing random jobs now to get by. What's even worse is that my friend got motivated to do the same program and enrolled on the program for the class batch after us, he also passed the board. We both did not know that the school would suddenly stop assisting us after getting licensed. During the enrollment and beginning of the program, the school emphasized that they will assist with the externship. One of main reasons I stayed with the program is because they advised that they have a plan-B which is staffing so there is a safety net, that we will get externship, but that didnt happen either. While our entire class is trying our best to find our own externships after getting licensed and got "ghosted" by the school. The school is still enrolling more and more students and posted more future class schedules on their website. Which makes me wonder about their plans, if they can't find externships for the previous and current students, why are they still enrolling more students?

However, it is now April 2026, and I still have not been placed in an externship. When I follow up with Mark, I'm simply told there is nothing available and that I should start contacting hospitals for placements myself. It is disappointing to pay for a program that shifts the responsibility of clinical placement onto the student after the work is already done. Total failure on the school's part.

I took a two-day CSM course from Cprime, held in a Learn iT! conference room (San Francisco)…read more The instructor, Aakash Srinivasan, was both knowledgeable and entertaining, which made for a very effective class. There was a good mix of hands-on activity, individual exercise, and lecture. Aakash's colorful flip-charts were especially helpful. The course did more than enough to prepare us for the certification exam. The course description advertised light breakfast being provided half an hour beforehand (from 8:30 to 9:00). Bit of a sinking feeling when we arrived at the Learn iT! lobby and were pointed to water and coffee. At some point a box of Noah's Bagels and cream cheese arrived unannounced, but I was already preparing myself for starvation mode. (Having learned my lesson day 1, I picked up breakfast on my way day 2.) Our instructor was expecting 30, maybe 31 students... and we ended up having 32. He had only been given materials (handbooks) for 30, so he had to call Cprime to print more booklets and drop them off. (I'm not sure how Cprime could flub that, honestly... isn't registration all done in advance?) Lunch was plentiful, catered from Bamboo Asia both days. Two trays of rice, one tray of chicken, one tray of tofu, and sides for the class of 32. (Sadly the salad dressing was absent the second day.) One nice touch was that warm Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookies appeared in the lobby each afternoon. The facility was just so-so, but the instruction was spot-on. Bit pricey if your employer isn't sponsoring your course.

My class was taught my Jim Schiel, a veteran SCRUM demi-God who was dynamic, personable and best of all experienced. I definitely considering taking more courses with them, and I highly recommend you do the same.

But when COVID stay at home precautions were in place in 2020, I decided to go for it and take my coursework to get my RE license. The on-line coursework of Principles, Practices, & Finance were well-designed for us to learn, with interactive zoom classes. Angela So was a terrific instructor and I know I retained a lot of the information from her classes because I felt good even a year later when I finally got my state exam date in April 2021. Already working in the industry doing mortgage loans, I felt overwhelmed as my test date approached since I could only dedicate a small amount of time to studying. I decided to take the crash course and also opted for the recorded videos and state exam prep. The videos with Ian Medina really helped me integrate concepts in a memorable way. I'm glad I was able to view all of these and also do the practice exams prior to my crash course weekend. Scheduling the crash course the weekend before my test date did help me feel more confident going in. Clarissa Cortez was an amazing instructor who kept us all engaged during the weekend crash course. She was able to integrate real world examples that helped us remember concepts. Feedback from fellow students who had taken the exam also gave a good perspective of what to expect on exam day. Passing my exam on my first attempt was a great feeling and I am now able to start helping build the real estate side under my brokerage, West Gold Inc.
