Cute collectibles turned coupon con. Stay away if you value honesty! My 6 1/2 year-old daughter, who absolutely loves Pokémon, Sanrio, and cute figurines like Lalabubu, was so excited to visit Robo Hunters. They have claw machines and vending-style crank machines filled with adorable collectibles. I gave her $5 for tokens, thinking she'd get a fun prize from one of the crank vending machines where you always get something. She picked a Lalabubu-themed machine near the clerk that cost 3 tokens and showed all the possible figurines in the window. Imagine our shock when the prize that came out was not a toy at all -- it was a plastic egg containing only a piece of paper with a 5% off coupon. Nowhere on the machine did it clearly say a coupon could be a prize, just the cute figurines behind the glass. We felt outright tricked. I explained to the clerk that this wasn't what we expected, but she dismissively said, "That's the prize, it's a blind bag," and walked away without any empathy. My daughter was heartbroken, and frankly, I was angry. We tried the claw machines next, but they barely let you reach the edges, making it nearly impossible to win anything. This felt like a bait-and-switch, a grift disguised as fun. If you want to take your kids somewhere honest and joyful, look elsewhere. Robo Hunters left us feeling ripped off and sad. We won't be coming back, and neither should you.

The 2 prizes my daughter won, except it cost $3.00 each. Such a waste of money. Just go to Miniso!

The value of the games was horrible and way too expensive. Each machine cost $3 each and the claw machine was rigged. The claw machine picked up the item and last minute perked and dropped it. It did that to me twice. And the machine where you out money and twist and an egg comes out was a rip off. It was $3 each and each egg had a ridiculous prize "coupon". One was extra 20% of collectibles figure and the other was $5 off orders over $50. That was not a prize! I would stay clear from this place, they just rip you off.

What a cute and fun place to spend money. They have a lot of claw machines for claw machine lovers. Amazing selection of blind boxes including Pop Mart, Top Toy, anime, etc. I like that they also have many Gachapon machines but the tokens are more pricey than in Japan. The place was clean and spacious with amazing prizes.

Came here with friends after we stopped by 3Catea for boba! We actually wouldn't have even known about this place, or have even stopped by, if we didn't see the promo in-store that if we bought a drink we would stop by Robo-Hunters for two free tokens. We were getting boba anyway, and were curious so we thought why not. I figure it would be some sort of gaming thing? But my friend group was surprised that it was a crane game store. They also have special figure vending machines, and in general have anime/gaming figures as well as various cute merchandise for sale around the store. If you purchased a 3Catea drink, you just have to show them your receipt or beverage. Honestly, I think two free tokens is quite generous as the conversion rate is $1 per token. They also have various ways on the opposite side of the register table to get additional tokens via following their social media accounts and leaving a review. My friends and I actually had a really great time here! I shy away from crane game machines because it felt like the machines got increasingly rigged over the years. Trauma from Round1 where I spent $10 and got nothing in like 2 minutes deterred me from trying again. But my friend spent quite a bit here and won a few prizes! I actually amazingly managed to win a cute luau sandwich pig plush. The variety of prizes is actually really cool, and are of great quality. The plush I got was soft and super cute, could image paying like $15+ for it at a store. Will definitely stop by again if I'm ever in the area!

Nice little place to spend money. They have anime collectables and other goodies for fans. The hook from the outside is the claw machines. As typical machines go, your chances of actually winning something is low. Either way, if the kids enjoy it, give it a look. Maybe, you'll win something?

It's an awesome, colorful, neon largish store/place. They have tons of anime, model cars, action figures, photo booths, Hello Kitty, Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Gundam, etc. They also sell electronic, scooter suitcases, but there is a very small collection and I don't know if they have more in the back(?). It's very lively, places to sit down and eat, tea, Ramune, etc. I think it's hours suck, but that it is pretty cool.

Front of store. Horrible Value. Money grab.

Horrible value it's two dollars per claw machine and they grip less than any other arcade you could go to. None of the employees even tried to approach us while we walked through the store.

A must-visit for claw machine lovers! This place has so many mini claw machines as well as regular-sized ones, and they're decently priced. It's one token per play for the mini ones and two tokens per play for the bigger ones. Each token is $1, and you can ask the front desk to give you change if you need it. The prize selection was great. They had some Sanrio themed plushie keychains as well as some Kirby ones. There were also medium-sized Sanrio plushies in the bigger claw machines. The machines had a pretty good grip and we were able to win some plushies after only a few tries. It was pretty busy inside when I went, and they seemed to be adding more machines since they just opened recently. They even had some anime figures up for sale towards the side of the store. Even though there were a lot of people, there's plenty of parking available since it's located in a fairly big plaza. They also have an online site to purchase some of the plushies or figures, which is super convenient. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here and I hope they add more machines soon!

Super fun place to go to. The staff is really friendly, kind, and accommodating. Their claws are actually winnable which is the best part. They have really cute collectibles and it's a nice environment as well. Great place to go on a date if you want to have some fun and maybe win some prizes!

I have mixed feelings about Robo Hunters. On one hand, I'm glad that they've opened a place for claw machines, figures, and collectibles in the Chino Hills area. On the other hand, the merchandise here seems a bit overpriced. Maybe they take advantage of the fact that there isn't a similar place in the area. However, having gone to several similar places in the LA/OC area, the prices here are steep. For example, I picked up a Kandy x Sanrio blind box with the intention of buying it and the cashier told me that it was over $40. To put this into context, I saw the same blind box sold at a shop in Little Tokyo recently that sold the same figure for $16.99. If this location wants to be competitive, they should rethink their pricing model. I can't talk for the claw machines (though those are always a money burner). But, for blind boxes, an average consumer can price match online and see that something like this is overpriced. I will say that I got a cute set of press on nails for $8 which, to me, is reasonably priced. Seems like pricing is all over the place and I will consider coming back if they make some adjustments.

We ordered multiple alcoholic drinks, a beer bucket, and food. The cook was very kind and even made wings for us though he was about to finish -- he was the only positive part of the night. I explained I had already purchased food and alcohol and just wanted tap water. Instead of handling it professionally, he whispered to another bartender and directed me to a man behind the bar. When I repeated my request, I was told, "We're trying to make a profit." That response was unacceptable. After spending money there, being treated like a problem over a cup of water was disappointing. I was eventually given a very small cup. I grew up in Japan and I've been going to R1 since 2005〜 Machines are pretty frequently updated here and it's maintained somewhat good. If it needs maintenance, I think people will understand if they put a barricade or a sign that says "under maintenance" rather than just leaving it open and people will just go home disappointed. Keep the actually working ones open, and close/put up a sign might help with maintaining customer satisfaction level. I think they're doing a great job with brining in colab's though!

Coming back years later with somewhat optimistic expectations, it sadly now looks like a shell of what it could have been. On Sunday afternoon, we decided to check out Spo-Cha since we had nothing else to do while hanging out with friends. While I was already anticipating having to use shared equipment, it was honestly really gross seeing communal sports equipment just being hung up after use or thrown in the same bin for the next person to use... and not to mention, everything was VERY sweaty too. There were no attendants actively cleaning equipment (maybe one at the roller rink) and no form of paper towels or sprays to at least allow you to clean between use. Not sure if I was more afraid of potentially getting lice or ringworm, but I tried to avoid touching anything with cloth while I was there. If you're a parent, consider bringing extra disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer. The bathrooms were not the cleanest but were fine if you're just washing your hands frequently. Not to mention, there were kids running amok throughout the establishment. Again, while it is to be expected, I was still a little concerned seeing there be a lack of parental supervision for a LOT of young kids (toddlers included). Not only is it dangerous for them, who likely don't know any better, but also for older teens and adults trying to avoid knocking them over when they disrupt games or recklessly run into people around the roller rink. While at the very least, most of the sports were fine to play (e.g. billiards, table tennis, volleyball, pickleball, etc.), when it came to the arcade... half the machines were broken. And even if they worked, then a third of those would have something wrong with it. At that point, you'd rather spend your money at Round 1 next door for arcade games and somewhat of a nicer experience. Moving on to the dining area... We did get thirsty after a while and, after noticing a pitcher of water at an empty table, we asked if we could order one as well. The staff (hiding behind the self-order kiosks, since you do not have the option to order at the register) let us know that a pitcher of water costs $8. Needless to say, consider eating and drinking before/after you come here (or just fork up a few extra dollars for a soda instead). Sure, you can say that you get what you pay for, but this place seems to have been going downhill for a while. The only person really working was the employee in a black button up checking us in and out at the counter. He was very courteous and efficient, but seemed pretty overworked. Not sure what things look like behind the scenes, but it doesn't seem like anyone else other than him really cared about the quality or reputation of this place. Overall, if you're looking for a place to kill 3 hours with a $30 budget, you've found it. If you keep your expectations low enough, it's honestly not that terrible of a spot to try different sports or get a little exercise in while having some semblance of fun. But, if you have the chance to avoid it, avoid it. Or instead, consider catching a movie at AMC or heading to Round 1 before it meets the same fate as Spo-Cha.
