They offer clothing, shoes, accessories, and clothing for both men and women, and the selection is pretty large! Brands include Storm & Marie, Filippa K, Sunja Link, and OSC. After a recent trip to Canada, I've been kind of super obsessed with some Canadian brands and want to hoard some more - there was one designer (Sunja Link) that I really fell in love with, but her new pieces are always out of stock or sold out completely within days! Still Life came to the rescue when they had a certain item in a different color that I was eyeing on, so I snagged it. They were also having some great sales, so I was able to purchase a winter jacket (OSC) as well! I also love that you can count on the fact that the pieces that you receive will be of high quality and made extremely well. I loved the super great deals, the semi-quick shipping (there was a little snafu in terms of getting the package to me, but I just need to request a signature authorization the next time), the careful shipment/packaging, as well as the great customer service follow-up (a representative actually reached out see if I received my order and if everything was of perfect quality!). If you're looking for independent and awesome local Canadian designer goods, check Still Life out! :D +great selection of Canadian designer goods +great customer service! +occasional deals and sales

After an…read moreafternoon shopping and not finding anything, I walked into this shop and I was very hopeful because everything looked really cute from the get-go. I was looking to buy a few new items. I am also very cognizant that we are in a global pandemic and I have been sanitizing my hands and wearing a mask consistently. I do have an autoimmune issue, so I am aware. I am not the type of person who ignores public health mandates, but I was just so excited to be in this store I didn't see the hand sanitizer to the right as I walked in. AS soon as I started looking, like maybe I had been in the shop for about 5 seconds, this lady storms over to me and loudly demands I use the sanitizer. It was just so abrupt and really rude and embarrassing, I couldn't even respond. Her tone was so off-putting and made me feel like I was absolute trash. I worked in boutiques in New York for years in my 20s and waited tables as a college student and as a graduate student. I never spoke to people like this. Ever. It was clear to me by her really abrasive attitude that I didn't belong in that store so I sanitized my hands and left literally in tears.

Avoid this shoe store like the plague! The most horrific experience that I have ever had at any…read morebusiness in my whole life! If cruel treatment of customers was a crime, Walk in Comfort staff would all be in jail. The owner, George, and his staff at the Oak Bay store subjected me to mental cruelty and abuse. I am outraged at such egregious treatment and am still in shock! On November 19, 2021, I went into the Oak Bay Walk in Comfort to buy some boots. I decided on some Reiker red boots and went up to the cashier to buy them. An older woman handled the sale and she was rude and downright nasty to me. Their debit machine was not working properly and it would not take my card. I tried to tell the woman that their machine was malfunctioning, but she got very abusive, defensive and aggressive with me. This horrible woman kept trying to blame and shame me -- the machine rejected my card about ten times and each time, she got more abusive and combative, telling me that my card was at fault and "to go and talk to your bank!" Right in front of all the customers, this nasty woman deliberately talked down to me, and treated me in a humiliating and degrading manner. When I got justifiably upset, she ordered me to leave the store. I was picked-on and bullied by this very rude older woman. I left in tears. When I calmed down, I called my bank and everything was fine with my card. There was more than enough money to cover the costs of the boots and there were no holds on my account. Plus, my card worked fine at all other stores. I have proof that the whole nightmare was due to a defective debit machine at Walk in Comfort. Then I called and talked to George Kereluk, the owner. He was apologetic and told me that he would make sure that I got the boots. He said that he would have them transferred to Hillside Mall and someone would call me when they arrived. I felt happy that at least I could get the boots that I loved. The next Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, George Kereluk phoned me. When I picked up, his tone had totally changed -- he very coldly and harshly said that he would not be selling the boots to me. When he told me why, I almost passed out and rushed to the toilet, phone in hand, and vomited over and over again. It turns out that the older saleslady at the Oak Bay store fabricated a cruel and outrageous lie about me, skewering my reputation and character. She did it to take the heat off herself. Unfortunately, he believed her lie and refused to give me any further service. When I tried to defend myself, George refused to listen, cut me right off, said goodbye and hung up! What they did to me was planned out and malicious, intended to cause me harm. Never before in my life have I ever encountered such deliberate cruelty by a company. The owner and the female salesperson acted like a couple of thugs, ganging up on me like two bullies in a back alley. Please learn from my experience and stay away from this store! During a short visit to Duncan for Father's Day, I was excited to spend quality time with my Dad and treat him to some new clothes. We searched for menswear options and Outlooks came up first, so we headed there full of enthusiasm and ready to shop. We walked in smiling and ready for a great experience. I introduced my Father and explained we were looking to outfit him with some new pieces. The saleswoman took one look at him and flatly said, "We have nothing for him." No effort. No conversation. No alternative suggestions. Just a dismissive brush-off and out the door we went--feeling dejected and frankly, unwelcome. Thankfully, just two doors down was Jim's Clothes Closet. Not only did they greet us warmly, but their amazing team, especially CoCo, helped my Dad find pants in the exact size the Outlook's employee insisted wouldn't fit him. On top of that, he left with shirts, belts, a hat, and a great vest--plus a smile on his face. Outlooks Menswear gave us the worst customer service experience I've had in years.
