A new addition to the Victoria shopping scene, they've filled the spot between Pig and the entrance to the Atrium. With floor to ceiling windows and a beautiful interior, you'll wish your closet had this lighting, not to mention to the space. While it looks amazing with the shoes set up more like art than those boring old shoe racks you're used to, Head Over Heels has a range of prices and offers. From affordable, sustainable, fabulous TOMS, to handmade Spanish and German brands you've never heard of, and some staples from Birkenstock that you'll never grow tired of. They have a ton of great local and Canadian-made jewelry, and hand bags and are excited to be open, so the service is really great. They are looking to start supporting some local women's groups with shoe donations too, so you'll really be embracing a new business in the Victoria shopping community that's out to do some good. So nice to see a TOMS (I'm a superfan) selection beyond the classics. They have some awesome wedges that will soon be mine. The handmade Spanish numbers have my name on them too. Check it out, you'll love this new shoe shop in town!

Avoid this shoe store like the plague! The most horrific experience that I have ever had at any…read morebusiness in my whole life! If cruel treatment of customers was a crime, Walk in Comfort staff would all be in jail. The owner, George, and his staff at the Oak Bay store subjected me to mental cruelty and abuse. I am outraged at such egregious treatment and am still in shock! On November 19, 2021, I went into the Oak Bay Walk in Comfort to buy some boots. I decided on some Reiker red boots and went up to the cashier to buy them. An older woman handled the sale and she was rude and downright nasty to me. Their debit machine was not working properly and it would not take my card. I tried to tell the woman that their machine was malfunctioning, but she got very abusive, defensive and aggressive with me. This horrible woman kept trying to blame and shame me -- the machine rejected my card about ten times and each time, she got more abusive and combative, telling me that my card was at fault and "to go and talk to your bank!" Right in front of all the customers, this nasty woman deliberately talked down to me, and treated me in a humiliating and degrading manner. When I got justifiably upset, she ordered me to leave the store. I was picked-on and bullied by this very rude older woman. I left in tears. When I calmed down, I called my bank and everything was fine with my card. There was more than enough money to cover the costs of the boots and there were no holds on my account. Plus, my card worked fine at all other stores. I have proof that the whole nightmare was due to a defective debit machine at Walk in Comfort. Then I called and talked to George Kereluk, the owner. He was apologetic and told me that he would make sure that I got the boots. He said that he would have them transferred to Hillside Mall and someone would call me when they arrived. I felt happy that at least I could get the boots that I loved. The next Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, George Kereluk phoned me. When I picked up, his tone had totally changed -- he very coldly and harshly said that he would not be selling the boots to me. When he told me why, I almost passed out and rushed to the toilet, phone in hand, and vomited over and over again. It turns out that the older saleslady at the Oak Bay store fabricated a cruel and outrageous lie about me, skewering my reputation and character. She did it to take the heat off herself. Unfortunately, he believed her lie and refused to give me any further service. When I tried to defend myself, George refused to listen, cut me right off, said goodbye and hung up! What they did to me was planned out and malicious, intended to cause me harm. Never before in my life have I ever encountered such deliberate cruelty by a company. The owner and the female salesperson acted like a couple of thugs, ganging up on me like two bullies in a back alley. Please learn from my experience and stay away from this store! I am self conscious about shopping for shoes because I'm a size 11 wide and a lot of the time stores don't carry shoes that big. This store not only had a huge amount of black booties (what I was shopping for) but the staff brought everything to me. I felt like a queen, I didn't even have to stand up once except to test the shoes out. I ended up buying two pairs and the one pair that was a little snug in the toe they offered to widen for free. They were super busy but were still very attentive. I think people are posting nasty reviews because the shoes aren't cheap. I spent about $300 on the two shoes on sale, but thats expected with quality leather. Worth every penny and I think I found my new shoe dealer.

They offer clothing, shoes, accessories, and clothing for both men and women, and the selection is pretty large! Brands include Storm & Marie, Filippa K, Sunja Link, and OSC. After a recent trip to Canada, I've been kind of super obsessed with some Canadian brands and want to hoard some more - there was one designer (Sunja Link) that I really fell in love with, but her new pieces are always out of stock or sold out completely within days! Still Life came to the rescue when they had a certain item in a different color that I was eyeing on, so I snagged it. They were also having some great sales, so I was able to purchase a winter jacket (OSC) as well! I also love that you can count on the fact that the pieces that you receive will be of high quality and made extremely well. I loved the super great deals, the semi-quick shipping (there was a little snafu in terms of getting the package to me, but I just need to request a signature authorization the next time), the careful shipment/packaging, as well as the great customer service follow-up (a representative actually reached out see if I received my order and if everything was of perfect quality!). I do have an autoimmune issue, so I am aware. I am not the type of person who ignores public health mandates, but I was just so excited to be in this store I didn't see the hand sanitizer to the right as I walked in. AS soon as I started looking, like maybe I had been in the shop for about 5 seconds, this lady storms over to me and loudly demands I use the sanitizer. It was just so abrupt and really rude and embarrassing, I couldn't even respond. Her tone was so off-putting and made me feel like I was absolute trash. I worked in boutiques in New York for years in my 20s and waited tables as a college student and as a graduate student. I never spoke to people like this. Ever. It was clear to me by her really abrasive attitude that I didn't belong in that store so I sanitized my hands and left literally in tears.
