My boyfriend doesn't often shop for casual clothes so it was a nice treat for him to get such attentive customer service. The gentleman working was happy to give feedback and picked out some nice pieces while speaking about the quality of items they bring in. Most of the items are either made local or sweatshop free in the USA. This is the kind of quality I want to spend money on and is generally a deciding factor when I make any purchase. I also wanted to speak about the simplicity of the decor and layout of the shop. Great merchandising as it really draws the eye in. They also sell some quality accessories including footwear, bags, ties and sunglasses. We will certainly be back when we visit the island again.

During a short visit to Duncan for Father's Day, I was excited to spend quality time with my Dad and treat him to some new clothes. We searched for menswear options and Outlooks came up first, so we headed there full of enthusiasm and ready to shop. We walked in smiling and ready for a great experience. I introduced my Father and explained we were looking to outfit him with some new pieces. The saleswoman took one look at him and flatly said, "We have nothing for him." No effort. No conversation. No alternative suggestions. Just a dismissive brush-off and out the door we went--feeling dejected and frankly, unwelcome. Thankfully, just two doors down was Jim's Clothes Closet. Not only did they greet us warmly, but their amazing team, especially CoCo, helped my Dad find pants in the exact size the Outlook's employee insisted wouldn't fit him. On top of that, he left with shirts, belts, a hat, and a great vest--plus a smile on his face. Outlooks Menswear gave us the worst customer service experience I've had in years. If you value your time, your money, and being treated like a human being, keep walking right past this place.

After an…read moreafternoon shopping and not finding anything, I walked into this shop and I was very hopeful because everything looked really cute from the get-go. I was looking to buy a few new items. I am also very cognizant that we are in a global pandemic and I have been sanitizing my hands and wearing a mask consistently. I do have an autoimmune issue, so I am aware. I am not the type of person who ignores public health mandates, but I was just so excited to be in this store I didn't see the hand sanitizer to the right as I walked in. AS soon as I started looking, like maybe I had been in the shop for about 5 seconds, this lady storms over to me and loudly demands I use the sanitizer. It was just so abrupt and really rude and embarrassing, I couldn't even respond. Her tone was so off-putting and made me feel like I was absolute trash. I worked in boutiques in New York for years in my 20s and waited tables as a college student and as a graduate student. I never spoke to people like this. Ever. It was clear to me by her really abrasive attitude that I didn't belong in that store so I sanitized my hands and left literally in tears.

I've never had worse service from a place before in my life. Originally my problems started with…read morethe Langford location, where I was measured for my friends custom order for his wedding. When I showed up to the Victoria location (as thats where most of the business was being done) they had no notes of my measurements at all and thus were unable to fulfill a custom order for my friends wedding. Fast forward to MY wedding, we arranged with the assistant manager of the Victoria location to get a custom order done (3 piece suit for me, vests and pants for my groomsmen). The problem started when one of my groomsmen informed me that he had been measured for a jacket as well (adding about $300 to our price) which had apparently been done for ALL the groomsmen. This problem was corrected and then we moved on to issues with the shirts we were buying (off the rack) which they either couldn't seem to find sizes for or lost repeatedly "somewhere". I also got a VM for my shirt asking if i had picked mine up or if they had ordered me two by accident (i hadn't picked it up and i had not ordered two). Then they were supposed to send my suit over to Vancouver so I could get it properly fitted at a Moores near where I was staying, thankfully i decided to check in Victoria when I was back for a day (two weeks later) as they had never even sent my suit over and the assistant manager (who i had dealt with the whole time) was surprised that I was asking (he'd obviously forgotten). Not once did I hear an apology about any of the screw ups that happened (on our very simple order). I will never deal with Moores again as they are obviously not a very professional company.

I thumbed over a pretty cardigan. I wanted to buy... I had my credit cards out, but every time I went to, something told me not to.
