This store has an amazing array of goodies from beautiful earrings, scarves as well as unique clothing that even I the finicky shopper loved. Leka has their own clothing line as well as Marimekko and other Scandinavian fine fashion lines. There are great toys and childrens items as well as perfumes to enjoy. Because these items are quite unique don't expect to find 100 of each. So, if you are thinking about buying that skirt in your size, don't delay because it will be gone by the next day you come in as I unfortunately discovered. Aase the owner was great and went out of her way to see if her seamstress could make an item in a smaller size for me! Now that is customer service!

Once inside I realized they carried one of my all time favorite brands, Marimekko, this was my kind of shop for sure! In addition to carrying a few awesome design brands, they have their own clothing line and it fits right into the Scandinavian feel of the shop. The lady offered us iced tea and explained how their line, Leka, is all made in store in Victoria from bamboo fabric. Seriously the clothes are so soft. I ended up buying a dress made of this super soft material and am so glad I discovered this place! Definitely somewhere I will go every visit to Victoria.

I was told with 100% certainty that it would ship by today and they'd call me to confirm, but neither happened. I placed my order 2 months ago and the table is ready (or so I'm told), but still no shipping. Unacceptable.

The store has a great welcoming vibe. We decided to purchase 4 dining chairs and bar chairs now - even though our house is still under renovation. The manager, Sandy, truly understands the stress of home renovations and furnishing problems. Her expertise in design and understanding our needs really helped us envision the possibilities. I cannot ask for better service. I even bought some great candles to add to our home. Thank you so much.

He said that way I had two racket strung at 2 different tensions which might be nice. I completely agreed with him and loved the idea. When I came to collect my newly strung racket from the same clerk, he strung it at 25. I told him that we agreed on 26. I even reminded him that my other racket is strung at 25 and we agreed this one would be 26. He never even wrote this down on paper. It was quite frustrating as my mind only had to remember my racket tension while he works a day stringing many rackets. So I think it was obvious that he go it wrong. In either case, they did NOT fixed their error and placed the blame on me. I am quite upset and annoyed. I will never ever go back to this store. I feel like if I was a stern male that they would have agreed to fix the racket. However I was a female with two kids and they didn't take me seriously. Again, won't ever set foot in this store again.

The sales staff have always been helpful, knowledgeable and supportive of whatever it is that a customer is trying to achieve -- including digging through countless fabric sample books with you, explaining delivery times and providing good communication. The owner seems to be well versed with custom orders and explaining timelines and delivery delays if there are still questions and from my experience, he is collaborative with his staff. We have also bought display accessories that were less than pristine (though already at clearance prices) and staff seemed empowered to give further discounts. The actual selection, prices and value seem comparable to other brick and mortar retailers in Victoria, though most stores tend to have sales staff that come across as a little too eager at times. I have found that Ashley HomeStore salesman and saleswomen have been nicely relaxed and friendly over the years. My only complaint would be the Guardsman warranty they sell on behalf of that particular insurance provider: the exclusions in the policy are very long, the online forms that need to be filled out denote arbitrary categories for a claim that don't appear to comport with possible damages, and the whole process seems like the usual extended warranty scam - with the store retailer possibly getting some type of compensation for selling you the warranty. Don't do it. Just don't. Unless you like throwing your money out on often useless warranties!
