3.5 stars. My family and I took a road trip to Robinson Salvage and their Overstock Warehouse to see if we could score some discount buys during my visit to ATL. We first stopped at the smaller Salvage store. It had an assortment of clothing for men, women, and children, and you really need to comb through the racks to find something in your size. I wish they would organize the clothes by size, rather than by brand/style, but my time was well-spent, as I found two nice tops from brands I love (Tangerine and Loft) for $8 and $3, respectively. They also have aisles with various grocery and household items. We found an embroidered yard flag, an auto sun shade, a pair of earrings, and some Pellegrino sparkling water (3 for $1). My sister-in-law also found a cute pair of sandals for under $15. We next went to the Overstock store, located in an old Kmart just down the road. It had a larger selection of clothing, shoes, watches, jewelry, and grocery and household items, and also had sporting goods, furniture, and appliances. My brother and his wife got great deals on golf shoes, but interestingly, I only found one clothing item (a skirt) for myself. Note that the fitting rooms are closed at both stores...bummer. For us it is like a treasure hunt. Sometimes you find the best things at great deals other times not so much but it's always fun.

Very disappointed in Robinson salvage and their lack of support for the Carrollton community!! They would not allow their parking lot to be used for the annual forth of July parade. The parade only takes about an hour out of one day! They told the city not to let anyone park their accept for their customers. Well, they rarely have more than 20 customers at a time and the parking lot is huge. Therefore, it made it very difficult for traffic to flow after the parade and parents of the local bands could not get to their students for pick up as well as other groups in the parade. It's a very sad day when a business does not support their community. read more

They lied about the 15% Senior Discount on Wednesdays. I was told by two different employees that Seniors (55 and older) got an extra 15% off on top of whatever item was discounted, for sporting goods it's 30% with a White Sticker. So I waited until a Wednesday and went and bought an Ozark Trail (O.T.) Tent, O.T. propane lantern, and an O.T. air mattress and some other smaller items thinking it would be total of 45% off. After I got home, I checked it and it was WAY OFF from 45%. I called the store and the Manager said "It's only an extra 5% off". Maybe they should tell their employees that's it's 5% and stop telling customers it's 15%. That's the only reason I waited until Wednesday. Still got $117.00 worth of camping and fishing stuff for $82.00. read more

You will never know what you will find in this place! It can be a very exciting day, or a very disappointing one. This place salvages items that were almost destroyed by some kind of phenomena e.g. a convenient store burned down, a truck turned over, water damaged products, etc etc. and with that, it can be a hit or miss experience, but if you miss on your first or second visit, do not ever stop believing in Robinson's Salvage because there will be a pay day eventually! I have found items in here that otherwise I will never be able to afford! GENUINE Calvin Klein pants, DC apparels, Billabong, Dollhouse, etc. etc. at around 40-60% off! Once, half of the store were devoted into selling antique and anime comics at a buck a piece! (although most of them were water damaged) I found some of the comics in my collection, and some dates back in the early 60s... I would have prob paid an easy 15 bucks a piece for those! Now, most of the time, some items may still be over priced after the discount, but remember, it is still a discount ok? And if you cant afford an item after a discount, then maybe you shouldnt be buying it to begin with ... Then again.... Sometimes, what this store would do is purposely mark up the prices then add the discount to make it seem like you were saving money when the reality is, you are purchasing a slightly damaged good for the same price (and sometimes higher price) than what you would have paid for at the actual store. TSK TSK bad bad salvage store! bad!! So, be careful with your purchase, use your smart phone to look up certain items if you think the price is too high for its condition... sometimes, u will find treasures, but at the same time, you will also find crap. This store is unorganized and unprofessional. The workers look like they just woke up and ran right to work. If they charge you a percentage off then call and someone says it is wrong price they want to refund you and recharge you a different price after you already paid and it's in a bag!! I won't ever go there again. I spend 100 plus dollars everytime I go. They gonna make a big deal over like 3.00 that they put a wrong code on? Wrong. read more

Robinson's is a family tradition, our family visits at least once a year and we give out a cash prize to the person who buys the zaniest item. It's hit or miss what you will find, but often you can find brand name items at a low price. I have purchased crystal stemware and Earth shoes, you have to dig through a lot of junk, but you can sometimes find a few gems at a bargain price. read more

Robinsons salvage is one of my wife's go to places in Carrollton Georgia. This is the place that has all kind of salvage goods. There is nothing pretty about this place. It's one of those places where you have to dig through stuff to find what you want. But when you go you can usually find a really good bargain. The place is usually crowded. Best to go early in the day. You won't regret finding Robinsons. It's one of those fun kind of places to shop that you really feel like you stole something from somebody. read more

The only "deal" I found here is some pop tarts that were probably expired. I hear it depends on when you come, but I found stuff overpriced with different percentages off on some things. Still too high. The make up was crazy priced. Not for me. read more

I've being shopping at Robinson salvage for over 3 years but lately their goods are marked up so high, one is still paying much even with the discount added. Beware of their vitamin supplements because the seal is usually broken. The bulbs or any electrical goods needs to be tested before leaving the store otherwise you will be buying a non functional goods. I have had my good days there but lately I'm always disappointed each time I step my foot in their store. read more
