Seven months ago I was getting ready to retire and, knowing I'd never be able to purchase a home in…read morethe San Diego area, I started looking in Arizona. While cruising on Zillow and Realtor websites, I found a home I really liked and sent a message into the ether, saying I needed loan information. I got lots of calls, but not much follow-up. Then Charlie Welch from Sunstreet called. I told him what kind of home I wanted, in the areas I was interested, and what I felt I could comfortably afford. I wasn't even sure that I would be able to qualify for a home loan. He checked my credit score and some basics, and was able to tell me that I did qualify and how much of a loan I could expect. I was interested in a USDA rural home loan, which requires a lot of extra work on the part of the mortage company, but Charlie wasn't put off. At my request, he gave me the name of a real estate agent in the area, who helped me find the home of my dreams. I made an offer that was accepted. A day before we were scheduled to close, the seller confessed he wasn't able to complete the sale because he didn't have enough funds to close. He'd only owned the home for 2 years and didn't have enough equity, plus he had stopped making his mortgage payments. The home went into a short sale, but I was still in love with it, so with the help of Charlie and Susanne Seagroves, my agent with 1st Heritage Realty, I made an offer for the short sale. Through a very long process (4 months) Charlie and Susanne were my rocks. They answered all my questions, kept me apprised of progress, and advocated with the seller's bank to help speed up the process. On the day I finally closed on the home, Charlie even came to the title company to answer any questions I might have about the 100-plus pages of documents I was signing. I can't say enough good things about Charlie Welch and Susanne Seagroves. Their kindness and integrity have made them like family, and I would recommend them highly to anyone looking to purchase a home in the Tucson/Sahuarita/Green Valley areas.

They are highly professional, willing to…read morego the extra mile, and, most import for my dealings with them, have a deep and thorough understanding of the real estate process. I was lucky to have been referred to the Parrish team by a friend of a friend. My agent, John, was able to meet right away while working around my busy work hours to walk me through the process and get the ball rolling. Despite my aiming for a less expensive starter home, I was treated with the utmost respect and even given extra detail to help me since I had no experience with buying a home and no idea of the process. Once we were able to find the home I wanted, we realized getting it would be very tough: the home had two offers fall through, was a short sale, and required repairs to the roof before moving in as I was financing with FHA (203k). John assured me it was doable, set expectations as to how hairy it could get, and worked with the selling agent to get them onboard despite initial hesitancy. Once we moved forward, there were a few pitfalls out of anyone's control--the key hiccup being a contractor backing out at the last minute and putting close in serious jeopardy without any warning. Luckily, John had been working throughout the process to get an extension from the bank so we could close and otherwise being the oil that kept the process running. I was lucky to get the house for a great price after nearly seeing it go to auction. I'm very grateful for having picked the Parrish team. I don't believe I would have my home now if I used another agent. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I would not be living in my beautiful new home and "stress free" if it were not for his never ending care with making sure all that goes into buying a new home was taken care of for me, without my being here. He found the perfect property for me, and basically I was able to fly in for one day to purchase. Then he made sure all inspections were lined up for my next visit. His communications via email, text, phone were consistent, and he listened to all my concerns and took care of negotiating every one. After closing, as I was still not able to move yet, he took care to line up all I wanted to get done before I moved in. And I did not even mention his extraodinary knowledge of real-estate, contracts, closing costs and all the paper work. Let's just say he "had my back" through the whole process.
