I paid a significant amount to have it cleaned, and when I got it back, both shoulder epaulettes/tabs were missing. They were absolutely attached when I dropped it off and they are not something that would just randomly fall off. We tried to resolve the situation reasonably by asking if they could help with replacement parts, but they refused and continued insisting they "never received" them. I paid a lot for the cleaning and got my designer coat back missing essential pieces, with no sympathy or effort to make it right. Extremely disappointing- I would not trust their service.

Unfortunately, I needed all of the items that very night for an event. Thanks to my boyfriend's quick thinking as I stood around sobbing because of the mistake, he ran the ruined clothes across the street to Stratford Dry Cleaners (so convenient!) and begged them to see if they could get the lipstick out in only a few short hours, as we had to be on an afternoon ferry. Preparing for the worst, we made a stop at a local clothing store to grab a coup backups, but as we were attending a themes party, the items we originally had were, of course, the best options. Fifteen minutes before the dry cleaner said the items would be ready, my boyfriend went to pick them up, expecting the worst. I literally jumped for joy when he brought in perfectly cleaned clothes looking like nothing had ever happened to them. And it only cost $30 for a rush job! I'll be bringing my dry cleaning to Stratford Dry Cleaners from now on!

A friend was supposed to hem my dress the night before I had to leave for the wedding but backed out at the last minute due to realizing her sewing machine was old/low quality and was afraid to ruin the dress with it. I have never posted anything like this before. Usually if I have a bad experience with a local…read moremerchant, I speak with them about it and then decide whether or not to continue patronizing them. However, I had such a bad experience yesterday, I had to let everyone know. Last week I dropped off some shirts, slacks and sports coat at Frederick's dry cleaners on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. I have used them for many years even though they sometimes have come up short on execution, in my opinion. I told the person there that one of my shirts need a cuff button replaced and that I needed everything back on (last) Thursday because I was going away Friday morning - I dropped off on Monday to make sure they had time. When I went there late Thursday afternoon, I was told that nothing would be in before Friday afternoon, as that was what was put in their system as the date wanted. Having returned, I went there yesterday to pick everything up. When I got there, they told me that they could not clean one of my shirts as it required dry cleaning. This was a cotton shirt that they have cleaned many times i the past. The person I spoke with yesterday agreed that there was nothing to indicate "dry clean only" and had no explanation as to why it wasn't done. I also saw that the cuff button on the shirt was not replaced even though my receipt showed a charge for a button replacement. I then noticed that my sports coat had a 1-2 inch mark on the sleeve from a marker or a pen. The person there called the store manager to let them know that I was extremely unhappy with the service. She then gave the phone to me so I could speak with the manager, who then told me that she didn't want to hear what I had to say and hung up on me. The person in the store called her back and told me that the manger refused to speak with me. Needless to say, I will NEVER patronize Cleaning By Frederick and recommend that no one else does.

Upon returning to pick up my dry cleaning, I was promptly greeted by the same (oddly dressed) woman and she quickly got my order from the back. All of the clothing was very well taken care of and well packaged. The total bill came out to be $26, so I was relatively pleased. I certainly would come back here if in the area again, hopefully they stay in business because the store front looks quite dated and the location is awkwardly placed squeezed into the middle of a strip mall.
