And my skin was still covered in acne. My mom took pity on me and sent me here to get a facial, a special treat. I believe I got a lactic acid peel and a hydrating mask. I don't remember entirely. The lady I saw recommended products to me, and wow, I saw SUCH a big result. I will say that I DID start taking oral acne medicine around the same time, but it wasn't really doing much until after this facial. Of course it took a little bit before my acne really went away but it's soooo much better than it was before. I would include photos of before and after but I'm honestly too embarrassed by the before pictures. It totally took away my confidence and I'm so glad I can finally feel good in my own skin again.

She was so sweet and explained everything very well. Price was very reasonable. Will definitely return for future treatments.

Without asking me first, they had assigned her assistant, a less experienced provider, to perform the procedure in her place, including on my eye area. While I waited, I noticed the owner in the office filming content for social media rather than stepping in to perform the treatment herself. No one called or texted to give me a heads up about any of this beforehand, despite this office usually communicating by text. I paid a $500 deposit and don't think it's acceptable to swap in a less experienced provider for a treatment near the eyes without getting the patient's consent first. I've since heard similar complaints from others about last-minute changes and poor communication here. Ask detailed questions about who's actually treating you, and get their consent process for provider changes, before booking.

Here's my experience recently since central dermatology has purchased Chapel Hill Dermatology. All…read moredoctors with Chapel Hill Dermatology originally at the time of this posting have left, so. So that tells me there's a problem with the corporate headquarters and the actual staff. I go every year on or around Halloween. I normally see a PA who's terrific but getting past the front staff is a big issue to me. I have been going to this dermatologist organization since I was seven years old when my mom took me in the 70s. So they're on Halloween I come to check in for my appointment. They say you have a blah blah, blah co-pay, I say I've already met my out-of-pocket for the year. I don't owe anything. This young ladies say we have to take money in this is what they told me like a group of people ganging up on me. They each tell me they must have $100 deposit or leave my credit card on file. (They don't say anything else about my co-pay because I have insurance). They keep this up for at least 20 minutes refusing to check me in because I refuse to make a payment like they have requested. They no longer want my insurance co-pay. They won't $100 or my credit card on file! I'm not doing any of that I know I do not owe, because I have already paid my deductible and my out-of-pocket, I worked for the company. I am now insured with! I know it's going to take this corporation at least 30 days or more to refund my money that I pay them. I asked for the manager they reply "she's not in," right there the manager walked in the business has been open for nearly 2 hours. I ask to speak with the manager privately. The girls at the entrance to the practice of course have told her what is the problem. She comes in the room, armed with this information. She never evaluated the chart or my Insurance before speaking with me, she only listened to the people working the front desk who are supposed to know what the hell going on! The manager invites me to a private room, i've tell her why information here's what I say can't you call your direct? Blue Cross Blue Shield, North Carolina representative for commercial accounts, no, she says, thinking there is a problem here at this clinic, I explained to this manager that I do not owe a co-pay because I have met my deductible and my out of pocket funds. My mom took me to this business when I was 7 to 8 years old, I know this business has been in three different locations right there where they currently are operating. I know one of the founding physicians, personal home number. The doctors who started this clinic were 100% awesome caring for their patients now none of them are with this practice, certainly some of them have retired. Others have moved away from the area, and still others have left their business when it turned to a corporation meaning a for profit shit hole. These ladies that I encountered in the front office on Halloween day, said they have to collect the money that is what they are told by corporate! I tried one last time to get to my appointment by now the nurse/technician is wanting me to come to my appointment so they can keep their schedule moving along, I'm taking up too much time for them to keep the PA on schedule. Manager never checked my account which has recently gone from paper to computer. Apparently there is no one higher up than the manager, give me a break. That is BS, I leave because I now know I have taken up at least one hour of working time for at least three individuals to ladies check in plus the manager. If I had paid my co-pay as insisted upon by these ladies, it would have taken the corporation a minimum of four hours for one person to refund me my money. How do I know this because I've received a refund check and it took six months to a year for the refund and then it was in my dead husband's name. All of the years of care that I received from this clinic (prior to the purchase from Central dermatology) in the past was 100% the best care I ever received and now the care is questionable at best. Well, corporate operations for Central dermatology at the Chapel Hill Dermatology location I invite The Corporate Director, CEO OR CFO to give me a call and I will fill you in with the rest of my experience from this day!
