They then proceeded to push us too too far of the desk where mobile order pick up is and i still needed to buy tickets they then proceeded to say i had to get back in line in a line of 15+ people long ass line and said I had to wait. I genuinely think this is horrific design of the line. And then when i had finally gotten back up to the line, it took forever for him to bring up the ticket and they had an issue trying to scan my premium account and eventually 2-3 minutes later the manager came over and just gave me by free ticket by just not scanning it and charging for the one normal other ticket. Keep in mind got in the theater at 7:00 for a 6:50 showing didn't get sat in our seats until 7:30.. dear god regal.

We got butter on top and a refreshing Pepsi. The theater seats are comfortable and the screens are big. There are lots of parking spots available. Tickets were $5 and the prices for popcorn and snacks and drinks are way cheaper than like AMC or some big chain movie theater. I really enjoy how the fun barn also has the arcade addition. It's family friendly and a great place!

When I opened the door to go inside I was hit with a stale musty smell. Once I got to my seat it didn't get any better. At one point we considered leaving because as you shifted around the odor would permeate. After the show ended , I used the flashlight from our phones to look at the seats. And they needed a good cleaning as well. Very disappointing that we spent a few dollars short of fifty dollars on tickets and popcorn and drinks to then sit in a gross theater.

It features series on sustainability, on Appalachia, on mental health and the annual International Film Festival. It is also where you go to see the animated shorts or international films nominated for an Oscar. They offer the usual suspects of popcorn, soda, and candy but also local beers. It is also a great source of jobs for college students who often seem like they've won the lottery with that extra job to pay the bills. With the shuttering of Athena Grand on East State Street, the more typical multi-screen place for blockbusters, the Athena is carrying a bigger load for those who do not want to head up State Rt 33 to the fun house atmosphere available on the edge of Nelsonville.
