We figured that seemed crazy being the fridge was only 2 years old.. second guy comes in says it's fixable just need to order parts. Said should only be about $500, great ! I had decided to get my (really old) Frigidaire ice maker fixed last November and contacted another…read morerepair service (unnamed here but I left a review) who came out the day after I called and left a msg (that should've been my first red flag regarding their customer service follow up). I should add that it's a second fridge so not used regularly. The other guy came out and removed the ice maker from the fridge to determine what the issue was and what parts he needed. He removed a bunch of tubing that was the water supply and said he'd be back in a couple of days after getting the parts. That was on a Thursday (11-4-2020). No call back by Saturday morning so I happened to check the fridge and found the water from the ice maker was leaking and completely froze all on the inside of the freezer, preventing the door from even opening. I called several times and left multiple messages and texts to the other guy but absolutely no response....I was panicked so looked for another plumber. Morris Refrigeration to the rescue. I explained the entire situation and he came out within the hour. Before coming out he gave me a solid idea of what he would be doing (and not doing) and how much it would cost. He even helped remove the ice using a heated blower and installed a shut-off on the main water line feeding the freezer (which I thought the other guy either did or at least should've done). Morris Refrigeration was very courteous and the cost was reasonable. He said he wouldn't "cut the other guy's line" and fix the ice maker since he had already started the work and ordered the parts....very honorable. If I ever need any kind of appliance (or non-major plumbing) service, I would definitely contact Morris Refrigeration. #ServiceStarShoutOut

Thankfully I had just put towels into washer with some detergent before the water started flowing. I called Ohana Appliance Repair and a sweet lady answered my call, on a Sunday! She informed me that I would be added to Dustin's schedule and he would get back to me. I was waiting for a call tomorrow (Monday) but a white van appeared in my driveway and it was Dustin. He was in the Mililani area and saw my name and address on the request list and decided to stop by. I was nearly in tears! My 14 year old dog just passed away, now the washer is down but this sweet gentleman made the time. Turns out that the electric board was shot, and doing a price search revealed the new electric board and labor would be pretty expensive. Dustin suggested looking into buying a new washer since fixing it would be over half of what a new washer would cost. I asked Dustin if he accepted Venmo so I could pay him for the consultation. Dustin politely refused payment. It's a Sunday, Dustin could've very well been at home with his lovely wife and their new puppy, (yes, we shared our love of dogs with each other).
