Coffee and juice, crepes, organic cleaning products etc. The highlight here for me is the pastry and the pies! The pie man has a booth here and they truly are the best pies I've ever had, nice selection of chicken, beef, veg, so much flavor. Big pie that is enough to fill you up, just 5€ (heated up for 6€) The pastry is also fab, lots of tarts, Danish, croissants, cookies, brownies, bread and more. All of which are delicious. Big enclosed venue (next to Teeling), so it's weather proof, and you can even bring your dog inside! Lots of friendly vendors and delicious food and drink. So lucky to have this place so close to home, it's now our Saturday tradition to get coffee and pastry, and pies to take home. There's a seating area if you want to eat in, too. Definitely worth stopping by, it's quite a market!

It is your perfect greengrocer, and it's a bit of a pity it's housed inside the ugly Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre. It would be much better situated out on the main street, and would probably do better business that way too... Evergreens offers the usual in the way of fruit and veg, apart from some very large mushrooms which aren't the norm (I'm sure they're ok to eat though!) There are also some gourmet goodies available near the counter, including roasted peppers, cute basil breadstick snacks and award winning baileys and white chocolate fudge. Head on over to Jack for some fresh, not-too-shabbily priced veges and a good ol' yarn.

A lovely setting, in The People's Park, near the waterfront of Dun Laoghaire. I do have to say, I think it was better years ago when there were more produce vendors and it was more of a farmers market. Now it is 90% prepared food stalls, a few artists, and only a couple of produce vendors. But the food is good and varied, with many ethnic goodies to try. There is an excellent cheese vendor (Irish cheeses are amazing!), a wood-fired Neopolitan pizza, and you are pretty close to the famous Teddy's of Dun Laoghaire ice cream shop to get your "99" fix. AH, MEMORIES: I remember one farmer was selling wine he made from his own grapes. Yes, Irish wine!!! Admittedly, the Sauvignon Blanc tasted like grape juice, but I still have the empty bottle with a lovely hand-colored label. My Mom had her first ever raw oyster (from Galway) here. I almost had to force it down her throat, but she loved it. The vendor no longer comes here, but every year when I visit her in Ireland we have to go out for some great Irish oysters. But she still eats only one!

There's always a great mix of people around the place, a really relaxed atmosphere and, the cherry on top for me, it's right beside the sea! The staff all got along and the daily visits from our suppliers was a welcome distraction from the work at hand, one of our suppliers was Get Fresh from DeansGrange. They must have been good, in the 7 years we never even thought of getting our fresh veg from anyone else and as a waiter I never got a complaint from a customer - a small miracle in itself. The shop in Deans Grange is basically like a big open garrage with a few stalls and tables set up in it, everything is well laid out and accessable - making it easy to shop, sensible really, not every shop does this! Brian behind the counter is friendly and helpful, it is always a nice place to go and get the spuds and stuff!

The displays are so appetising and appealing, the produce is always clean and vibrant and not bruised and battered, no limp lettuce here! It stocks a huge selection of in season fruit and veg, most of it sourced locally. As well as salad vegetables, dried fruits, nuts, seeds, it offers a Mediterranean selection bar of olives, sun dried tomatoes, sauces, pesto, oils and cheeses. A healthy deli section of cold cuts, cheese and spreads. A dried food area of pasta, noodles, rices and the like. Lots of pulses and beans and different types of flour and grains. But my favourite bit is the rich, sumptuous, organic HEALTHY chocolate bar selection! The owner is very friendly and works in the store and is seen polishing his apples and carrying creates of fresh produce which arrives daily! This place really does deserve its two Bridgestone awards!

The displays offer everything from some already prepped meat options like marinated, skewered, rolled and/or stuffed... Plus a great selection of herbs. spices and sauces. The meat was all super in quality, great cuts across the beef, pork and poultry! Of course what makes this place 5 star is the super range, having tried 2 butchers, we got 3rd time lucky with this place as they had stock of beef brisket.. The other two places didn't even know what we were asking for this, this place... oh they knew, they do a lot of their butchering on site so whatever random piece of the animal takes your fancy, they got it!
