It's hard to find a shop these days that is family run(for the last 50 years) where the staff remember your name, your children's names and ask who you got on with the week befores purchases. Not only do we leave with great fresh "prime" fish, which is not sold in many fishmongers, but we get some fresh air while walking down the Coal pier, feed the seals with fish supplied by The Quay and have great memories as a family, most children hate going shopping but mine would go crazy if I went here without them!

Nothing to think about just straight into the pan or the oven. They often have great offers on and are only happy to share some cooking tips or tricks. Aside from the fish, they stock a host of other organic and free range produce, as well as locally sourced products - guilt free buying :-) They have a great cheese counter too.Great addition is the coffee machine, they are now serving badger & dodo bean coffee. Ok, so sometimes the coffee is not spot on but when it comes to Dalkey, this is definitely the best place to grab a coffee on the go. Also sampled their hot chocolate, yum yum!

But it all comes down to quality. The fish in this place is great and they have a great variety. Swordfish and red mullets are quite difficult to find in Dublin and coming from Sicily I was seriously missing eating these types of fish. The people working in here are amazing! If there had been a big guy named Dave at the door with a clip board telling me my name wasn't down I couldn't come in I wouldn't have been a bit surprised.
