I had gotten three different estimates from three companies, and honestly their knowledge, friendliness and price won me over. The installers, Lee and Keith came on time, worked steadily, were mindful to shut the door and wipe their feet when coming in and out, and were very respectful. They cleaned up everything after they were done, had me do a walk through to make sure I was satisfied and put the furniture back that they moved. Nothing was damaged or broken, and the dust I was expecting to be bad, wasn't at all. From start to finish it only took 2 1/2 hours for a master bedroom and walk in closet, and guest bedroom and closet. The price was incredible and it was definitely worth paying to have the furniture moved as part of the package. I will be absolutely be looking to them when I change out the flooring-if they are even half as good with it as they were with the carpet, I know I'll be taken care of.

The HVAC company covered the initial repair, and we decided to add two additional rooms at our own expense, paying over $1,000. When the crew arrived, they took unauthorized photos of our home and bedroom and shared them with their team -- a complete invasion of privacy. They then wasted 20 minutes outside, came back, and said the job would take more than one day before leaving without completing anything. When I called for a refund for the additional rooms, I was met with rudeness and unprofessionalism. Becky (Operations Manager) and Amanda (Manager) were some of the nastiest and most unhelpful people I've ever dealt with in customer service. Not only did they refuse to issue my refund, but they also refused to complete the service I had already paid for. This company is untrustworthy, unprofessional, and has no respect for their customers. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.

I'll admit, I had been putting it off for a while -- my floors had definitely run their course -- but seeing hers reignited both my desire and my need to replace mine. I did have a few concerns going into it. First was the cost, especially right after Christmas. I was planning to wait until tax time, but my friend told me about the no interest and no payments until 2027 financing she had received (based on credit approval). She was surprised she even qualified after a recent divorce and credit challenges, so hearing that made me feel much more confident. Once I realized how affordable it could be, I decided to go ahead rather than wait. Another big concern for me was that I live alone, and I'm very careful about who I allow into my home. One of the main reasons I ultimately chose A&D was because they do not subcontract their installers. Everything is handled by one in-house team from start to finish, and knowing this family-owned business has been around for many years and uses only their own employees gave me complete peace of mind. I knew exactly who would be coming into my home, and that mattered a lot to me. The free in-home consultation made the process so easy. They guided me through every step, helped me choose a floor I absolutely love, and walked me through pricing and financing. I was a little nervous about approval, but I was approved, and my floors were just completed -- and I could not be happier. The installers were wonderful. They were professional, clean, respectful, and truly felt like people I had known for years. They took care of removing and resetting furniture, didn't smoke, and treated my home with care. I also appreciated knowing that if any fine-tuning is needed as the floors acclimate, I know exactly who to call and that they will stand behind their work. I'm beyond happy with my new floors -- and honestly, I think I might like mine even better than my friend's! I would highly recommend A&D Carpets & Hardwoods to anyone considering new flooring.

I needed to make a repair at the doorway that was widened to accommodate wheelchair access from the master bedroom to the master bath. Merit's representative, Isaiah Parham and I agreed to repair carpet taking swatch from my master bedroom closet that would match existing carpet. In addition I had 1 piece of laminate flooring that bubbled on the surface needing replacement. I had extra laminate for that repair. I subsequently was quoted $800 to make the repairs. This, in my personal opinion, is a very outrageous price given it should only take 1 hour max to make both repairs. Due the lack of good faith in providing reasonable pricing for this repair, I would never ever recommend Merit Carpet due to their lack of basic customer service.
