We started coming here in 2019, great place!!! You really have to hunt and look for a tree. It's exactly one hour from our house, really easy to get to. We go to this location in Pollock Pines, there are two. The family is really nice, really reasonable prices. They have tons of mini trees they put on stands for around $20. Dog friendly! Make sure you bring your own poop bags.....great place to walk around and kill time. We usually spend 1-3 hours here. Last year there was snow on the ground, so bundle up! :)

We first discovered this place years ago and it's been our go to ever since! It doesn't have the vibe like other Christmas tree farms, like nicely planted trees in rows it's more so a forest and you really have to hunt some, which I think makes it all that more fun! We always find the perfect one and enjoy our time here! The last time we came was a Monday afternoon and it was perfect, no crazy crowds. Friendly staff, good prices for nice trees! Definitely recommend and will keep coming back!

What a magical place! We had a lovely time walking the property. The owner was incredibly friendly and gave us a great deal. Just up the road they were selling trees for $75 each, not here - he was in the Christmas spirit! Highly recommend.

For the last five years, we've been coming to Apple Hill to cut down our christmas tree. For the last few years, we've always made a point to stop by Roberts Christmas Tree Farm to pick up some small trees. They take branches from trees and place them into a stand made out of a cut tree stump. They are so cute, and are between $4-$12 depending on size. This year, we grabbed a decent size one for the front yard, and then a smaller one to place on our mantel. Unfortunately, we've always taken a look around the farm, but have never found a tree that we like. The farm is a little more "woodsy" than others, which makes it hard to see and find a tree. We'll continue to keep coming here for the small trees. :)

We almost left apple hill area because every tree farm was $60+ for small trees. We tried finding Roberts farm via google maps and it brought us down Shady Lane which is NOT right. You want to head down CABLE/MACE RD to find the entrance, and it's worth it!! Look at those prices! And the trees are beautiful. Wish we had found this place years ago

Awesome place to find a good tree. Not the cookie cutter that you're looking for but sure beautiful. I like that it was a natural feel in the forest. A true hike to find the tree that catches your eye. Support Robert's Tree Farm. They are a nice family trying to get by and improve like the rest of us. I'll be returning next year.

Ever find the kind of place that was so great that you don't even want to leave a great review because you don't want the masses to flock there and risk making it busy for you? Yah, that's this kind of place. This was our first visit to Roberts Tree Farm and we couldn't have been happier. It's a more authentic experience where you actually trek around and cut down your own tree (in contrast to some other farms in the area where they won't even let you cut without staff supervision or really just get to watch them). I loved the simplicity of the Farm and the super friendly employees. No, they are not going to hold your hand there, but the farm was beautiful with snow all over the ground and we found many beautiful tree options. The pricing is also the best around. We look forward to making Roberts Tree Farm our new Christmas tree-cutting tradition!

My family and I went up a couple days before Thanksgiving and most of the tree farms were closed. We had never been before. We were really disappointed, but kept driving to go to Apple Hill Farms. We drove by this place and the gates were open. We decided to give it a shot. Sure enough, Paul the owner was there and said we were more than welcome to go look for a tree! It was a beautiful spot and my toddler was more than happy to be running around. It didn't take my parents long to find a tree and I found the most perfectly imperfect Charlie Brown tree. And you CANNOT beat the prices. It's was perfect. Paul was so kind. We are for sure going back. Highly highly recommend this place if your in the area.

2016 was the first time I had gone hunting for Christmas trees since I was little, and I'm quite sure the experience was more fun as a child. But! This place is still really neat to go and cut down your own Christmas tree! There's about 13 acres to walk around to find the perfect tree. I probably shouldn't have done this when I had the flu because I just couldn't handle the walking. But I did manage to find a silver tipped tree that was perfect for my small condo! Also the owners here are really nice and the prices in the photos are still pretty current. I also loved that this location was near Jack Russell Brewery because I definitely needed a beer from all that walking!

We tried the lavender lemonade slushy and it was super refreshing. We were the only ones there, and pulling up was a little confusing since it looks very home-y, and we weren't totally sure where things were happening. They had a nice little selection of goodies for sale, and overall the vibe was really chill. However... there was a cat hanging around that became a bit of a deal-breaker. It climbed right up on the table where the utensils, napkins, and bagged chips were -- literally sat on the chip bags like it owned the place. Clearly not its first time doing that. who wants cat booty on their food? I'm all for farm animals and pets, but I don't think they should be around areas where food is being handled or served -- especially where straws and napkins are kept. Then our drink came out with a straw already in it, and while it was brought from the kitchen, it made me wonder if the cat's allowed back there too. They also mentioned a flower garden we could check out, which we did but it took only a few minutes, and then we headed out. Overall, it's a relaxing little spot, but not much to do, and the food hygiene situation needs some serious work. I definitely don't want cat butt near my snacks.

It's a great way to take a break from the hustle and bustle in town and enjoy being outdoors for a day.

The staff are wonderful and the "cutters" do their best to make selecting and cutting the tree a magical experience. They start the tree cutting for you, with their own saws (you don't need to bring your own), so the tree regrows properly - but they each let us take turns. Not as easy as they make it look! So helpful at every step of the process - including free wrapping and tying it to the car. I also recommend bringing cash to tip the cutters who cut your tree and bring it to the front for you. They also usually have a cash only line to pay for your tree which moves way faster than the credit card only line. Lastly, you should get a hot cocoa before you start looking so you have something warm to hold. It's a little pricey but the experience, service, and quality is what keeps us going back!
