So helpful at every step of the process - including free wrapping and tying it to the car. We found a beautiful 9' Turkish Nordman with blue hues on the bottom and it has barely dropped any needles after the initial shaking!!

After a long pause, my wife suggested we see the plants. He said "no, they're way back there." Apparently not willing to make the 50 yard trek to these plants. He came up with a few alternatives, which we agreed sounded nice. He then informed us he didn't carry them. We asked if we could pay ahead and order the plants, he simply suggested we come back in a few weeks and see if he had them in stock. This guy could not have been less interested in selling us anything in his nursery, and lost out of a big sale because of it. Simply lazy and disinterested would be the best way to describe him. If he doesn't care, neither do we. We went to another local nursery in Auburn and spent our money there. They took one look at the pictures and came up with hundreds of ideas for us to choose from, and could not have been more helpful. I will not return to this nursery, it's people like this that make it impossible to shop local. A huge disappointment.

Cons: seems just wild forest and not maintained area with clear view for each tree. Other trees have blocked even growth of the tree. Many tree as just new branches of previously cut trees and are very high, like 7ft high to even cut. Hard to tell what the tree will look like. Many trees have fewer or every uneven length branches. Hot cider provided, packing just a dollar. Very nice staff, pleasant and welcoming. So, it's forest from where you can pick a wild tree. Some picks here even show quite well how the trees look like. Went for the cut-your-tree experience and that we had. Glad that this kind of places still exists!

I recall having been there years before. Its been awhile. The whole place has a rural feel, the entire lot is small and has no paved parking lot. It's all gravel. They don't have a dedicated parking lot, find a spot that doesn't block the flow of traffic. They do have designated handicap spots. Or you can park next door at the El Dorado Nursery and walk over using their secret gate. Ok it's not a secret just ask the staff, they will be happy to guide you. But gotta say that the nursery parking lot is also gravel and not particularly large. It is not a long walk, they are right next to each other separated by a fence. The trailer office at Acer's has samples of the materials lined up on a shelf. Great. That way you don't have roam their lot in the heat. You can if you want to though. Also inside the office are large wall boards with the pricing. They got stonewalls, geowalls, cinderblocks, Italian pavers, estate walls, fire pits, techno soil (don't know what that is but they have 16 varieties), flagstone (over 20)... rock in decorative colors, types, and sizes... bark also in different types, colors, sizes., The staff here are super helpful, friendly, and professional. They have some characters that made me laugh and others that are more business like but not at all unfriendly. We ended up ordering materials and setting up a delivery time and paying the fee. The pricing was cheaper than another material shop located in Rancho Cordova, CA. Acer was even able to deliver the next day on a Sunday. Wow... Sunday, that's rare. But we scheduled it for a weekday instead. We were given a 2 hour delivery timeframe. The driver called within 15-20 minutes before they got to the house. He dumped the materials in front as instructed. Great.

I called to discuss the matter with him and he insisted it wasn't his problem, he didn't care that his truck and employees were not following regulations and urged me to take him to court. I was just trying to ask him to pay the $50 deductible for replacement to make it right, now we can handle it in small claims.
