Crab legs, prime rib, vegggies - A plate featuring crab legs, roast beef, mixed vegetables, and a small container of olive oil, served on a dark wooden table.
Daniel V.

Came in about 8:30pm on a Saturday night after a round of golf and walked right in. They had crab legs, prime rib, fish, pastas, Asian food, and quite a bit more. The crab legs were good, but that's about it, unfortunately. All the fried food and pasta tasted like rubber, the fish was overcooked, and no horse radish for the prime rib. The servers were nice, but rarelt came around and I don't think they picked up a single plate off of our table, so we just had a few stacks by the time we finished. They had a decent desert bar with some self serve ice cream and a fair selection of toppings.

We have never been disappointed at Robert's Buffet in Riverside Iowa ( Riverside Casino and Golf Resort). Their " All you can eat crab legs" are always steamed to perfection. All other foods and desserts on the buffet would even make Gordon Ramsey smile at their quality and presentation. We have eaten breakfast, lunch, and supper there...all meals are superbly prepared. The host and hostesses are so pleasant when serving you. Most employees have been there 10-20 years. The atmosphere of the dining hall is very comforting.

Pistachio chocolate cake - A slice of pistachio chocolate cake with alternating layers of green pistachio and dark chocolate cake, topped with whipped cream, served on a white plate.

It's okay. The ambiance is beautiful, presentation is gorgeous, it seems to be very clean and the staff is beyond friendly. The food is okay. It was a bit of a drive for us, but I haven't had a big buffet since the beginning of 2020. Mimosa comes with the Sunday buffet, the prime rib was fabulous. The rest of it was just okay.

A tray of barbecue includes ribs, sausages, chicken, and sides like baked beans and greens, with a bowl of sauce and a plate of cornbread in the background.

We cMe in yesterday at 5pm for the all American buffet. I spent $53.40 for 2 people. What a joke.where was the American part. The meat loaf was Luke warm at best and tasted horrible like dog food the the chicken what ever was so tough I c ouldnt eat eat do was the do call pork chop the best part was the cold soda. What a shame I fid ask for my moenyvack and was rudly told no the buffet used to be realy hood sadly not any more. A waste of food a waste of time and a waste of space and a waste of money most of the food had no flavor no spice but the brown gravy was 2 salty. I eat at the buffet every week.

Pecan pie was delicious! - A slice of pecan pie with a caramelized filling and a crunchy pecan topping on a white plate.

Ruthie's Steak & Seafood

Ruthie's Steak & Seafood

Ruthie's definitely lived up to the hype! We've had this place recommended to us for years, so to…read morecelebrate a big milestone, my fiancé took me here. We were able to snag a last-minute reservation on OpenTable, and the entire experience was wonderful. Our waitress was incredibly attentive--our water glasses were refilled frequently, and even when the restaurant got busy, she made sure to check on us. We were seated in a cozy, intimate circular booth on the side, which made the evening feel even more special. What I'd Order Again: Alaskan King Crab Legs - Pro tip: Order these as a side to another dish instead of as an entrée--it's much cheaper that way! The crab was incredibly fresh, thanks to their flash-freezing process, and it really hit the spot. Lobster Bisque - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I added this last-minute when our waitress mentioned that people travel just to try it, and it did not disappoint. The freshly cracked pepper, along with the truffle accents, made this so flavorful and rich. Cocktails - The drinks were fantastic! I had the Tweed Jacket cocktail and really enjoyed it. What made it even cooler was that our waitress actually created a cocktail that got added to the menu when she started working there--so cool! Scallops - Perfectly cooked with a stunning presentation. While I've had better on the coasts, I was impressed given that we're in Iowa. Desserts (HIGHLY recommend the homemade coffee ice cream & tiramisu!) - The tiramisu was amazing, and I could tell it was homemade because I nearly choked on the cocoa powder (the ultimate test!). But the real star? The homemade coffee ice cream--absolutely phenomenal. What I Wouldn't Order Again: Jumbo Crab Cake - It was good, but it had that slightly "old crab" taste and reminded me more of snow crab than the rich, sweet crab flavor I was hoping for. Given that I'm from Seattle, my seafood standards are high, so this didn't quite meet expectations. Brussels Sprouts - Great flavor, but I prefer mine extra crispy, and these weren't quite there. 10 oz Filet Mignon - It was cooked to the right temperature, but it wasn't as juicy as other steaks I've had in Iowa. Good, but not particularly memorable. Other Notes: Shareable Side Dishes - One thing I really liked was that their side dishes are all shareable, so they feel more like appetizers than traditional sides. It makes it easy to try a variety, and I definitely want to explore more of them when I come back! Location & Accessibility - Even though Ruthie's is inside a casino, it's tucked on the side, so you don't have to deal with the cigarette smell. Parking is plentiful, though depending on where you park, it might be a bit of a walk. Bathrooms - The restrooms are located outside the restaurant on the right--not too far of a walk. Final Thoughts: Ruthie's is a true gem, and I can see why it's so highly recommended. The service was outstanding, the food was top-tier, and the small details--from our cozy booth to our waitress's personal touch on the cocktail menu--made the night extra special. It's the kind of place that turns a meal into a memory, and I can't wait to come back.

A little out of the way most times but glad way went the extra mile tonight. I recommend this place 100%!!! The filet lollipops, for an appetizer, were amazing!!! Then came our entrees. All of us got steak and NO ONE was disappointed!!! All done to protection, the way a great steakhouse is supposed to operate. Our server was above and beyond helpful in making our decisions easy and would take his advise time and time again when ordering. Filet was perfect and the Gouda cheese potatoes as a side were to die for!! Definitely go here!!!

The Ambience is still there though I remember they used to play music there back in the 2010+ but either way the place is a nostalgia to visit. Their service is nice and welcoming when you come in as they would keep up refilling the food trays in the warmer with fresh ones. They know what their customers like and will be on it to make sure you are pleased! Now you all are probably wondering if the food is nice, that is up to you guys to find out but I personally love their Lo Mein (or Cho Mein I forgot the difference) and their Chicken Skewers!
