The Management needs to be terminated, period ! At 30 bucks a person you can expect cold food, not served properly. Just like Draft Day next door, pull your head out or close the doors. We came for Sunday brunch (and to redeem some free slot play) but we were later than usual. That being said, the food should still be acceptable. The biscuits were kind of hard on the edges, bacon was soggy and the eggs were pretty runny. The other food was decent and there was plenty of it. Just certain things like the bread pudding in the dessert area was well beyond the time it needed to be out. I put a spoon into it, and it was no longer soft and moist like you'd expect, so I didn't even scoop it out. For what you get there, $49 for two people is maybe a little much. Some things were good, like the crab cakes, but other things like the pizza seemed like store bought. We may try it again if we're there. Just not super impressed with it. Edit: we went back today (albeit earlier than last time) and the food was much better. I guess timing is everything. It wasn't very busy this morning (maybe everyone was still at church?) so the person clearing tables and getting drinks was very attentive. So I'd have to give them another star for that. read more

We've been here a couple of times and the outcomes have been very different. Sometimes the food is cooked to perfection and hot. The last time we were there, most of the food was cold (especially the prime rib, cold and overcooked) I have a hard time paying what they want for their buffet and not knowing if the food is going to be edible or not. read more

A major miss!! I would say the best things were the coconut shrimp, egg rolls and the ice cream machine. We tried everything! The sushi was awful, rice wasn't cooked all the way. The steak, brisket, sausage and chicken was all dry and lacked seasonings! Salad bar was great though!! Had great ranch dressing! My partner, his parents and I visited with very high hopes. I just never really get my money's worth at buffets bc I can't eat like that, plate after plate. The price is high/ridiculous for what you get. Only thing I might say is the fried chicken is better than what it was for several years and they did, finally, finally offer some decent dinner rolls. Either they bake them or from a local bakery. They are good. Salad bar somewhat disappointing. All they offer for lettuce in Romaine, what they have against Iceburg, I don't know. It's been that way for years. At one time they had baked potatoes, long since gone. You should at least get that at these prices. Some sort of smashed potatoes and the chicken gravy was not good, odd taste to it. Still trying to serve the tough as shoe leather Prime Rib, geez. I started to wonder over the years if it wasn't just my wife and I....and bad luck. No, we were with a group of people and they all said it was terrible, tough! It's been years since I have been to a Buffet so when my family said we were going to this buffet for Thanksgiving I admit I was a tad bit nervous. When we walked in we seen a long line but that soon came to the realization that they line was to get in for the buffet! I was amazed at how long it was. I figured since it was Thanksgiving the place would be empty. Boy was I wrong lol. After we waited in the line and got inside it smelled Delicious! The buffet was quite large and had a big variety of selections. Many different options for proteins, numerous amounts of sides and a plethora of yummy looking desserts. A few of my favorites were the prime rib, the bbq ribs and the coconut shrimp. I had many of the sides and my favorite would be the carrots and the Asian asparagus. I brought the family together 8 adults and 4 children thinking it would be nice to all get together after the pandemic and have some good food while doing so. Roberts Buffet came highly rated for buffet style in Davenport, so I decided to bring everyone to this location. Let's just say the food could have been better. Everyone was able to find something at the buffet and pick through the limited selections and make a meal of it but, at $30 per head for adults and $15 for children twas not the selection expected at the buffet. A super pain to get to this location on this casino from Interstate 80!! a gps might to have helped!! you can see it from the interstate... but you will drive maybe 3-4 miles and several turns and roads to get to it!! first time to this casino... yea I am a real player from the day's gone by. it had been 14 years as I have been off the games!! no bad beats.. just tired of playing... ok this trip was a social event meet and greet thing.. so when you first get to the casino make sure you take your photo Id as well as your social security card... you will need the ssc on file for if you win a 1200.00 hand pay or at any of the cages when cashing out more than 1500.00... so sign up for a players resort card!! it is located right in side the main entrance on the left hand side.. if you eat at any of the food venues make sure you present the card for tracking as well as bonus points. we chose Roberts as it was to have a bit of every thing for all of us as choices. may 2019 is grill favorites special... 13.00 per person for lunch all you can eat... we were a bit past prime time for lunch.. 12:30 am.. I normally like to do them at opening time or 11:00 am or a bit before.. I would walk the buffet line first to see your choices!! condiments are all over the food bars... so look first to locate your faves and plan you eating strategy!! the inside the buffet area was in good shape and should be for a place that has only been open for 3 years.. floors counter tops were clean! now down to the food... Asian is one of my faves for food period ... kinda a let down at this location... no white rice, they did have beef stir fry... American style... 5 spice... and way over cooked... I should to have tried the noodles.. they looked good... egg roles dark skin way over cooked but ok. sweet and sour sauce was good. ok on to round 2 or 2nd plate. they had smoked beef brisket, au jus, horseradish by the beef, sour cream was on 2 bar areas over.. trust me you want to mix the sour cream and horseradish!! lol the horseradish was super fresh!! au Grattan or cheesy potato's good flavor. I did not see any dinner roles but there was butter on the salad bar.. (over load on the choices lol) the green beans looked super tired so that was a pass! there was plenty of carved meat choices, turkey role, grilled bratts with krout on the side, fried chicken, catfish, and there was an custom Italian pasta bar too.. I did not try any of those.. salad bar looked ok but I went right for the main food.. they did have a fresh fruit bar!! so desert they had soft serve vanilla ice cream and small soup cups so raspberry and black berries on ice cream yum! they do have a gelato bar as well as an extensive pie and cake and desert bar selection.. they did have cloth napkins... servers bused the tables well and brought out fresh drinks with out asking.. they could to have done the extra touch of asking of we found everything or asking how the food was during the meal.. I did get full... so the 13 bucks for lunch was an ok price. I was just surprised how small the floor was compared to super large multi floor prairie meadows in desmoines.. but easy for an handy capped person to get around in. they need electric wheel chairs... even if they do them as a rental or free for vip card players... they do have good music events!! and this place has a large event center... so maybe a play and stay might be nice.. I hear they are closing the poker area at this location... I have to admit, I thought casino buffet, this is gonna be really good. I've dined at Prairie Meadows and at Meskwaki Casinos and loved their buffets. This was horrible. Not worth the $20. Not even worth $10. I've had better buffets at a shopping mall. Lettuce on the salad was dried out, the entree's in the line were visibly old. After the 2nd trip to the line, the same products were not filled, the chicken did die in vain. Even the name tags for the entrees were not placed correctly. The 'steak' was only made tolerable because I drowned it in the garlic mushroom concoction. The fat was still white (note to the people pretending to 'cook', that's bad....) The Asian offerings were not....they should have been cooked and then thrown into the trash cans. Dessert was ok. However don't try the cheesecake with the red sprinkles. Even the attendant couldn't tell me what it was other than 'cheesecake, I think'. Waitstaff.....thank you for your politeness and attention to my needs at the table. The price of the buffet has increased to $32 and if you want crab legs, that'll cost you an additional $14.99 PER POUND!!! The normal buffet was mediocre at best and I left unsatisfied and disappoint from this experience. Room was quite nice at a fair price. I really enjoyed my overnight stay. The service in the sports bar was great. The staff was attentive and the food was good...with a huge portion. (Pork Nachos). The pool and hot tub area was clean and well maintained. The workout facility needed some TLC, with some of the equipment being out of order. My room was good sized and had a very nice bathroom and shower area. Well maintained room and clean! Parking was a little bit of a challenge as you will likely need to walk a bit to the doors with the casino crowd. The casino was nice sized for a smaller resort with many options. It's a good place to stop when on the road for an overnight stay. I likely wouldn't spend more than a single night there, but did enjoy my stay. We were staying at the casino and thought it would be a good idea to try the buffet for breakfast. Big mistake! We arrived at 9:30 for breakfast, the hostess seated us and did not advise us that the buffet would be closing at 10:00 am. When we walked up to the buffet counters, there were many items empty or near empty. I went back to check during our 30 minutes in the facility and they never refilled anything that had been emptied. (Obviously preparing to close the breakfast buffet). Come on, can't you at least refill the french toast before closing the buffet? How about pouring some salsa into the bowl, rather than removing the bowl? Our waitress gave us our drinks after we sat down and never came back to ask if we wanted refills. In addition, our dirty plates sat there with us until right before we left (we had stacked them). My husband was the smartest, he had a made-to-order omelet. The rest of us tried the already prepared selections (that weren't emptied). The breakfast pizza, had definitely been sitting there for a while. The doughnuts looked odd, maybe they were frozen and thawed out. I love doughnuts, but couldn't bring myself to eat one. The salad bar was sitting there ready to go, with plastic wrap over the bowls, Why can't that be open for the breakfast buffet? The fruit choices were extremely picked over (again no refilling anything that runs out). As we were preparing to leave, we noticed that they were setting out some desserts. They actually looked delicious. As we walked over to look at them, the dessert person told us that the desserts weren't open and we couldn't have any (now they're preparing for the lunch buffet before the breakfast is closed). How about stocking the breakfast appropriately first? I go to Vegas a lot and I am not really a buffet person, but if the casino would pick up the pace in the buffet area, they could really do some business. Stay here again, sure. Staff was really friendly and kind. We came right to before closing and they still kept the food out. The food was still fresh! The food was pretty good for being a buffet. There were a lot of dirty tables around us with no one sitting and the staff was conversing a lot with each other instead of cleaning the tables so that's the only reason why I didn't give a 5 star. So normally when we go to the all you can eat crab leg day, we get all you can eat crab legs. Sometimes they are cold, but that's not a problem, because they get cold before finishing a plate anyway. But last night going to the all you can eat seafood night, they ran out of crab legs less than half way into our visit. I basically only got to eat a little of the crab legs and had to compromise and eat something else because they didn't have all you can eat. It was more, this is what you get because we are out, so good luck getting in on that. It was mostly broken off pieces. For the price we paid it was not worth it last night to go. Normally no problem except for when they serve them cold, which really isn't that much of an issue unless all of it is cold right at first bite. I normally love the buffet. Had a great Mothers day brunch, you know it's good when you have 5 plates of food, moma only had 2 plates

Brought my mother in law here as part of her birthday trip to Rhythm City Casino and it was actually pretty good. The selections were varied, ranging from home cooked choices like chicken and mashed potatoes to Chinese food and salad with fixings and desserts. I had beef and broccoli which was rather salty but the fried rice, crab rangoon and dumplings were excellent. My mother in law enjoyed her chicken, potatoes and corn bread, and my husband liked his Chinese food, chicken, and meatballs. For dessert we each chose frozen treats. My mother in law had a thick slice of mint chocolate chip ice cream pie that I wished I has seen and she marveled at how good it was. My husband had basic custard (his usual) and I enjoyed three samplings of gelato- gingerbread, cheesecake, and coffee. What great ways to end a wonderful lunch. The service was also good. Our server was attentive and most of the staff was polite, even getting into animated conversations with my mother in law about her light up tennis shoes. All in all it was a pleasant visit and should we ever return to Rhythm City, we will definitely make Robert's a stop on our restaurant list. read more
