I have been to this restaurant many times, but this is my first time writing a review. I usually come here with my family on weekends or holidays, so it is often very busy. Even when the restaurant is crowded, we are always greeted by the owner when we walk in, which makes us feel very welcome. This is a Chinese restaurant, but there are many Mexican staff members, and they are all very friendly. The service here is excellent. The staff always come to our table to check if the food is okay or if we need anything. They really care about their customers. The food is amazing. Everything is always fresh, looks good, and is nicely presented. My favorite dish is the crawfish. The ice cream is also very good, and the desserts are especially impressive. My family often orders cakes from here for special occasions. The restaurant is clean overall. Sometimes there is food on the floor, but I understand that this is a buffet, so people are constantly moving around with their plates. Overall, this is still our top choice when we go out to eat as a family. There is a wide variety of food from different countries, including sushi. The price is reasonable, and I always recommend this place to my friends. read more

Maximus (my Yorkie baby) had an emergency spa day at PetSmart today. So I had some time to kill. I did some errands and was getting hungry. And of course I thought of my favorite Asian-American buffet the "Dynasty Buffet", in Davenport, Iowa. I love the food here. Huge selection, SO MANY CHOICES, and ALL YOU CAN EAT!! So you'll see my choices with the attached pictures along with the descriptions because these were my cravings for the day and I couldn't eat that much for lunch. There is a build your own stir fry similar concept as HuHot has or hibachi style. You can pick your items and take it to the chef and it's prep right there for you! Which is a nice option for picky eaters who complain too much that their food is not hot or not fresh. Made-to-order sushi. Pick your items and a sushi chef makes it for you. Everything is fresh and on ice. Vegetarian options; Plenty of items without meat. Sushi bar had vegetarian options and 2 cold fruits, and salad bars, 8 different flavors of dip-your-own ice cream, Dessert Bars has everything you can expect. And kids have so many options to choose from as well. I saw lots of negative reviews. I haven't had a bad experience yet. This restaurant has new management and it's 100 percent better ! The food is much better than before . Basically the same menu but much better servers . Very attentive but not to much to interrupt your dinner ! And you can always ask them for help ! Yes they are chines and most of them speak good English !! I highly recommend this old Asian Restaurant !! How ever you absolutely have to get there early because this place will be packed !! Unfortunately I think the 2.5 star average is generous. Our waitress was very pleasant and thoughtful but the food just didn't give us much to write home about (well nothing good anyway). The food was either under the heat lamps too long or just plain sloppy. No one seemed to care and I felt like it would t have taken a whole lot just to tidy things up and do better on presentation. Horrible. Smells pretty good when you drive by and all the cars would make you think it's really good food. Had to try as restated across the street. Bad mistake. I'm not going to lie... I seen some scary reviews for this place and it almost swayed me from trying it for the first time. I've moved away from the QC since 2004. I'm working in the area and an avid Chinese restaurant fan. Gave the place an honest shot. I didn't see or experience any of the problems I've read about in Yelp, Google, or Facebook reviews. No bugs, everything I went for was fresh and as tasty as could be expected, plates cups and silverware appeared clean. The only issue was it was a tad spendy, but with this economy I suppose that is to be expected. I'm not going to see 2004 prices obviously. It was $19.58 for a Monday evening dinner spot with a soda My server was on the ball with keeping the drinks topped off until the check came. She kept the used plates moving off the table as they appeared. I tipped her accordingly (more than I would for a typical buffet experience ,greater than 15% I enjoyed it to be honest and I would go back. Been dying for some Chinese buffet while in quarantine and finally a place that defies all these laws. Cleanliness - they were ok i would give them a 2 out of 5. It was alright but they could definitely do better dusting the place and maybe a great wipe down. Service - it is meh. Nothing special so i would give that a 3 as well. Nothing that stood out but they didn't make us feel unwanted either. Food - it is ok. I would give this a 2. Most of the food was oily and tasted the same. Some of it didnt even really have flavor. The best thing in their menu was the fried shrimp which was overly salted. Put some of that salt on the other dishes and maybe it'll taste better. Also the sushi that they advertised, what a shame. While the food is good, it's an absolutely FILTHY place to eat. Nasty salt, pepper, and napkin holders, sticky tables and cockroaches to boot! One literally ran across our table. Never again! Nasty! My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant! They have a great variety of food, the wait staff is always friendly, and you can't beat the price! The food is always hot, delicious, and fresh! You can never go wrong eating here! Plus, we have to make sure to always get our sherbet cone after we over stuff ourselves. Its my sons birthday today and thought going to the buffet was a great idea with a total of 18 ppl. But unfortunately when we was grabbing food on our plate we seen roach on the buffet table crawling and get a waitress and all she did was looked at the roach, killed it with a towel, looked at it again and it was still moving and killed it again and she told us to go ahead to keep eating . We all lost our appetite so we stood up and told the cashier that we wasn't going to pay full price after what we experienced and they said they can discount us for 1 person but have to pay the amount and the total was almost $300. The lady that killed the roach was called to the front and told the cashier to call the police cux we refuse to pay full price. They said that the roach was not there problem that it is the pest control problem. No we couldn't get a photo of the it cuz at that time we didn't have our phone on us but I do have videos of All of everything! Please be aware before you guys go to this buffet!! Stopped in while I was working in the area. I was quickly seated. The selection for sushi was good. I hate buffets with cheap rolls so I was very glad to see they are not like that. I prefer sashimi and some rolls had fresh tuna or salmon. The bbq ribs were soft and easy to eat. They definitely cooked it right! Some of the regular dishes that were delicious: -crab Rangoon -general tsao chicken -peanut chicken I like the shrimp with stuffing. I haven't had it anywhere else. They also have Thai chicken which I haven't seen before either. It was also good. The desserts were the same as usual. Absolutely trash of a buffet, $40.67 for two people we weren't even in the place for 20 minutes and threw up because of undercooked food and how dirty the place is I would steer clear from the establishment. I have mixed feelings about this place, but more often then not it's a great place to eat at. The food selection is amazing. My only issue is the food isn't always hot. You can expect hot food if they're busy because of the turn over rate of the dishes, but other then that it is usually lukewarm. My main problem is their dessert area. The desserts are usually dry, and the ice cream area always looks like it needs to be cleaned. I try and star clear of desserts when I go here. The staff is, however, very friendly and helpful. The best thing is that Dynasty buffet is inexpensive, even for the QC area. It's the typical chicken-everything Chinese buffet, but it has a lot of offerings and there should be something there to please everyone. The problem is that this place is visibly dirty and in very tattered condition. My advice to any prospective diners would be to go early when they first open, as the buffet can get a little nasty and unappealing once it gets busy, especially on weekends. read more

The food here is great, and I do mean great! Very nice place with a full bar and plenty of seating. Great for groups! I only had one problem with the buffet, they will serve fried food that was cooked the day before but not eaten! I know this because I worked in my family's seafood restaurant for over 40 years. I would save fish, shrimp, frog legs etc and take them home to eat the next day! Putting fried fish in the oven to warm it makes them tough and gives them a very dark look, almost like refrying to warm them up again! They were still very tasty, just tough! Great sushi selection with strong improvements in freshness and choice over the past few months. I had three plates of sushi, a Diet Coke and a bowl of vanilla ice cream for $12. Definitely cheaper than other Asian restaurants. Broad selections of Chinese and American buffet entrees. Fine choice of desserts including ice cream from the ice cream cooler. The place was dirty. There was Sriracha on the table with a crusty dry gunk all over the cap. The napkin holder and salt and pepper shakers were greasy and needed cleaning. The salad bar was trashed and most items were empty or inedible. There was a freezer for ice cream with several dried out empty ice cream containers in it. The floor was very dirty with food and napkins We have eaten there years ago and the experience was not nearly as bad but I have to say it has really gotten worse. I totally enjoy the shrimp, and the fried dumplings are yummy too! The service is really good as well. (I mean, good lord! By the time you want another refill, there they are asking to get you one!) COCKROACH ran across our table today!! I've eaten here a few times before. The food is blah but ok. The place has been known for being uncleanly. Today's Roach experience was truly shocking. Without making a scene, we calmly presented it to our apologetic waiter who took the half dead roach in a napkin to the manager. He came back to offer 5 dollars off our bill. I was rather insulted considering I was much more discreet than most would be. I could've lost everyone's appetite there dining today. This is one of our Go To restaurants! So clean and always polite. The food is always as exceptional as a buffet can be. I personally love their sushi selection and their hibachi grill options. Our favorite desert is the ice cream and the cream puffs! Their selection of main dishes are all of your favorite American Chinese cuisine. There are options for those who do not prefer the American Chinese selections, from ribs to pizza! Perfect options for the entire family! The prices for this Dynasty are on Pointe, always affordable. Lovers of Chinese buffets will find themselves at home at Dynasty Buffet. The dining room skirts the large serving area where a seemingly endless array of food warmers reside. After we were shown to a table, things proceeded in a predictable manner. A waitress took our drink orders, then encouraged us to help ourselves to the buffet. There was a huge selection. All the American-Chinese staples: mongolian beef, General Tso's chicken, crab rangoon; then there were several American staples: beef ribs, mac & cheese, pizza; there was ALSO a Mongolian grill where you can put uncooked food on a plate and a cook will prepare it in front of you; finally, there was a WIDE variety of dessert. I LOVED the actual ice cream stored in a cooler in the corner. That could be where I recouped the cost of lunch. Three scoops: chocolate, strawberry, and mint chocolate chip. So good. The rest of the food was adequate, if not memorable. Overall I enjoyed the Dynasty Buffet. I felt that the price point was consistent with similar establishments, especially considering the wide variety of food available. If you are looking for quality Chinese food, please look elsewhere. So why am I a fan? Because as far as all you can eat Chinese buffets, this one is on top of the heap. I love the fact they have sushi, a little hibachi table where they will cook steak, chicken, or shrimp for you on the spot, and they have "American" food like pizza, warm apple pie and garlic bread. They have an awesome selection for a very, very low price, especially for lunch. I'm a sucker for egg rolls, crab Rangoon, dumplings, and dim sum. I just love them and have a very flexible palate when it comes to them.
