My husband and I moved to the Hollister area about a year ago, and ever since, we've been eager to transform our backyard, which was just a patch of dirt when we arrived. As a first-time homeowner, I felt completely overwhelmed and unsure where to begin, especially when it came to choosing the right contractor. After getting some neighborhood recommendations for New Leaf, we decided to reach out. (Just to note, we had already reached out to several local contractors, but none gave us the confidence to move forward. We always had lingering doubts--whether it was about pricing, professionalism, or trustworthiness.) Javier, the owner, quickly arranged an in-person visit to check out our yard. He shared timelines, and pricing possibilities with us. He also collaborates with a landscape designer, Charlene Brum (www.brumlandscape.design.com). Working with Charlene was such a smooth and stress-free experience (everything I needed!). She created CAD plans to scale, which really eased my worries, confusion and all the unknown. Charlene was incredibly patient, clear in her communication, and so friendly. It honestly felt like talking to a friend who was just as excited as I was to help with my yard. Once the work started, there was no stopping the team! Javier has a fantastic crew that works hard and cohesively. Fernando, who led our project onsite, was very respectful and always took the time to make sure I understood his answers whenever I had questions. It was also heartwarming to see Fernando and crew mentoring a young adult on the team, teaching him about the trade and safety. My husband and I were consistently impressed with the daily progress, especially since some of my neighbors had shared less-than-ideal experiences with their own yard projects. I'm so relieved to say that our experience was nothing like that--ours was smooth! After about three weeks of hard work, the crew finished, and we absolutely love our new backyard and are excited to add our future shed and dog area. Our German Shepherd loves the evolved space too! I'm very happy we decided to go with his service! I will share that due to the recent rain the retaining wall leaned a bit. This was after the crew was done and services were paid for. I reached out to Noe to shared what had happen and he came back to fix the issue. To be honest most experience professionals can do this type of work but very few will comeback to fix minor or any issues at all, specially after they've been paid. Noe is a man of his word, he came back to make repairs and to make sure that we were happy as a customer! That may friends is worth Gold. Once we have agreed on the tasks and price, the crew showed up early every morning, and did a very thorough job. The crew is very well organized and everything was kept neatly after everyday's work. The job was done before the winter storms hitting the area. We noticed there were minor drainage problems in those heavy rains, and they got addressed quickly. Our backyard looks fantastic now.

The Garden Mart is awesome! We were looking to re-plant a large area in our backyard and our normal…read morenursery was not open. We did a quick google search and found that the Garden Mart was open. We stopped by and they had a great selection of plants to choose from. We asked lots of questions and they had all the answers. We were told to contact Nick to help us finalize our ideas for the area in our backyard. Nick was able to come out pretty quickly and take a look at the space we were working with. We had some ideas as far as colors and possible plants we wanted to include. Nick was able to make lots of good recommendations on specific plants to put in certain areas of the yard. We then met with Nick at the nursery to look at the plants that he recommended. We went with most of what he selected and chose a couple of other plants to add to the mix. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Nick came to our house a week later with a truck full of the plants we had talked about. He plotted them all out where he thought they'd do best and had us confirm it was what we wanted. Nick was able to get all of the plants in the ground the same day (between 30 - 40 plants). We were very happy with the finished product. We talked with Nick after the job was complete and he recommended contacting them in September (the planting happened in early July). He said he'd come back out and take a look at the plants after they'd had a few months to bloom and see if they needed any attention. That is a company that stands behind their work. Overall, the experience with the Garden Mart was great. Everyone we dealt with and talked to was very friendly and easy to work with. We'll stop buying plants at the big hardware stores and keep shopping at the Garden Mart.

It was such a great experience to work with Eddie. He was very patient and cordial to my needs and concerns. Learned a lot! He recommended artificial grass from WatersSavers Turf and was impressed by their offerings. After carefully reviewing their website we narrowed it down to two types of turf and got samples from Eddie. We went with 'Professional Play' for its perfect height and density designed to handle pets and frequent heavy traffic. To support this turf, Eddie recommended a French drain system to ensure the area could disperse a substantial amount of water so it wouldn't flood the area. Eddie and his team did a marvelous job. They delivered on the professionalism and execution I had expected. I couldn't be happier with the experience and finished product. Now my family can now enjoy this new space they've been begging for!

I was flexible and allowed them to pick the date and time to come out that worked for me. After confirming that Friday in the "afternoon" would work for me. I sat around from about lunchtime to about 5pm. Luckily I work from home, but imagine if I had to call off to meet this guy. A courteous message would have been nice but just left me on read and never showed up.
