While I'm still not convinced he was 100% correct with his decision, I am convinced that the people at Professional Physical Therapy are top notch. When I first walked in I was a bit apprehensive about "physical therapy" and the effectiveness of it. The staff was very warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They were extremely attentive and treated me very well. I worked with Kim and Kristian who were fantastic and engaging on multiple levels. (while I didn't work with Megan directly, I could tell she is extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful Physical Therapist as well from how her patients were responding to her) I went from someone who could barely raise my arm to having full range of motion under their watchful guidance. Kim is an absolute taskmaster (wink) that knows all the right buttons to push to get you motivated and moving in the right direction. She is an credit to her profession that I cannot recommend highly enough. Supremely personable and fantastic with her technique, you should consider yourself lucky to have the opportunity to work with her. If I am in the unfortunate position of needing physical therapy once again in my life, there is no place I'd rather be and no others I'd want to work with for my personal health. However, the actual physical therapy part is poor. I've been to six different physical therapy facilities in the last 20 years to compare. This Oceanside location I went to about 10 times the end of 2025. I had three different people work on me. All three were not effective at all. Also, the staff spends way too much time chatting. During my visits not one person actually asked me about my condition. What led me to write this review is that I got a bill for unpaid co-payments. I had my credit card on file and checked in each visit. However the staff apparently didn't process three of my co payments. I had to take the time to go through my credit card statements to confirm that they did indeed not bill me for those dates. The physical therapists should spend more time discussing with their patients their medical condition instead of the constant chatting about their personal lives. I would not recommend this place.

Incredibly rude staff & nurses, some are okay, but many lack kindness & professionalism. i had to admit my father today & this was the worst visit we've had here yet! While signing in at the emergency room desk & explaining the serious situation we had going on the receptionist was actually watching tiktoks & grinning at her phone. I thought nurses were suppose to be comforting & nurturing, but every single one we encountered had the worst attitude. Not only to us & my father but to every other patient around us. One nurse seriously yelled & got nasty with an elderly patient telling her to "RELAX, STOP" & to "TAKE A NAP". Overall a really dissatisfying experience.

After my care by a wonderful orthopedist, Dr. Barbash in Rockville Centre, NY, the therapists at IVY, were able to restore full motion to me. I am in my late 80's and now I'm workin with them again for spinal and hip issues related to Osteoporosis and Arthritis and I am getting stronger and stronger. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. The therapists are all kind, caring and knowledgeable.

The pain fluctuates daily between 6 and 10 on a scale of 1 to 10, with ten being the worst. Dr. Lieberman shared all the possible treatments and respected my choice to try Physical Therapy (PT) first. As of today, the PT is having little to no effect. Dr. Lieberman invited me to talk with him regarding other paths to managing this issue should the need arise. I will be calling the good doctor this week.
