We haven't been able to get in to see Dr. Alam for well over a year (at least). He has been out of the office and his stand in doctor is also very knowledgeable, however you will absolutely wait in the waiting room at least an hour to be seen. Costco calls them for refills and they ignore it every time until I call them directly and push to get medications filled. The staff acts like they own the practice and make all the decisions. It's obvious no doctor is really running that office. I watched a couple staff members speak to the stand in doctor so disrespectfully! I was shocked. I have worked with doctors and would never dream of talking like that to them. I once called with a potentially serious medical issue and needed answers right away (and stated the seriousness). I called a second time after waiting for hours and still no help. I called our cardiologist office for help at 430 pm and they said they would get back to me. They called me a few times in between to let me know they were working on it, even after 630 pm they contacted me with the answer. Dr. Alam's office, despite the seriousness of my call, NEVER called me back. My husband had a check up with blood work and everything but needed a surgery clearance for another doctor. I called to request the clearance ASAP as it was 2 weeks to the surgery and they wouldn't schedule the surgery until they had the clearance. It took the full 2 weeks (calling every day, multiple times) and actually going to the office and sitting there while they got the clearance signed. We have since switched physicians where our health needs and concerns are met and the staff is competent. I would never again recommend this office.

I am writing to express my serious concerns and frustration regarding the way your office has…read morehandled my appointments and specialist referrals. Unfortunately, the repeated errors and lack of communication have been extremely disruptive, unprofessional, and costly for me. First, I was not properly notified that one of my appointments had been canceled. I subsequently went into the office and was scheduled for a telehealth appointment for the following day by a young gentleman with long hair. Based on the information provided to me, I arranged my schedule and took time away from work to attend that appointment. I was then informed that I had the wrong date and that the appointment was actually scheduled for another day. What was particularly frustrating was being told that I was somehow confused about the date. I find that explanation difficult to accept. Why would I take time off from work and rearrange my schedule for an appointment on the wrong date; especially two days in a row? I consider myself more than capable of understanding the days of the week, dates, and appointment times. The issue here was not my ability to understand a calendar; it was the conflicting and inaccurate information provided by your office. In addition, my referrals to the specialists I need to see have still not been properly processed. This creates further delays in receiving the care I need and adds to the overall frustration with the situation. I understand that mistakes can happen, but these are not minor inconveniences. Taking time off from work has a direct financial cost to me, and having to do so unnecessarily because of scheduling errors particularly two days in a row is unacceptable. I should not have to bear the financial and personal consequences of repeated administrative mistakes made by your office. At this point, I am asking that you please take a serious look at what is happening within your office. There clearly needs to be better communication, additional staff training, and/or a more reliable system for scheduling, canceling appointments, communicating appointment dates, and processing referrals. Patients should not be receiving conflicting information or having to repeatedly follow up to ensure that basic administrative matters are handled correctly. I am bringing this directly to your attention because I hope you are able to provide your staff with the support, training, and oversight necessary to prevent these issues from continuing.

His staff is very nice and helped us complete all the paper work with a very short wait. They gave him a initial breathing text and scheduled a meeting with Dr.Anders later in the day. We did a telemedicine appointment and the doctor ordered blood tests and cat scans and X-rays. He did it immediately which I appreciated. He was very nice and listened to my husband. He explained everything that he was testing for and what might be causing his cough. We have a final appointment this month. We are pleased with Dr. Anders. The office is located downtown and easy to find.

I suspect he did not listen to a word I said. He barely listened to my lungs and I suspected he was just going through the motions so I held my breath when he "listened" to my left lung then proceeded to tell me my lungs were clear. Giving 2 stars because office staff was nice. Update: Taking away a star. Got a call from the radiology company I was referred to to get a CT scan. I am a large individual and I even told my doctor to order an open or large CT scanner. Before I set my appt with the radiology company, I inquired about the large or open CT scanner. They told me my doctor did not order an open or large CT scanner verifying what I said above. The doctor didn't pay a rip of attention during my exam.

He is patient and compassionate the best traits to have in a doctor. He goes above and beyond. All his staff are nice and helpful. They are always there to answer questions. I highly recommend this office and Doctor. Dr. Ashraf does visit Tehachapi once a month. He works out of Dr. Reyna office. He is very booked up for Tehachapi and there can be a long wait. To me it's just fine, anything not to have to drive to Bakersfield. His office in Bakersfield is very nice and clean. I don't know what I would do if and when he decides to retire. I can't imagine him not being my Doctor.

The sleep study techs were awesome that's why i give them a star. You have to call them back to confirm appointment which take anywhere between 5-10 minutes for someone to answer the phone. I would not recommend this place whatsoever. After i get my machine i will try to find another place.
