Another big plus is the after-hours nurse line. Not only do they call back fairly quickly, you get a caring, helpful voice on the other end of the line that helps you sort out what to do until the office or pharmacy opens in the morning. I especially appreciate that you can come in anytime for ReadyCare visits - because of course children don't get sick on a schedule. Expect to wait if you come in for one of these visits -- but it's much better than our old clinic, where we were not able to get in for unexpected issues. Front desk staff has always been pleasant and courteous, and the doctors are fantastic. And, you can even get a flu shot when you bring your children in to get theirs. When he was seen he had…read morea low temp, which wasn't a concern of mine because I run a low temp also, but the Pediatrician told us to visit the nicu right away. We went to the hospital immediately after; turns out he was dehydrated and couldn't regulate his body temp. He spent a few nights in the hospital under a heat lamp with a feeding tube. Once his weight increased and his feeding and body temp was much better we were able to take him home again. Thanks to South Lake Peds we were able to get my son the care he needed right away. I am grateful!
