Dr. Parker is the best! She is the first doc to actually do saliva tests with me, not just blood…read moretests. She discovered that I have adrenal fatigue and gluten intolerance. It is such a relief to finally know what is wrong, and to find a doctor that LISTENS to me, instead of immediately trying to address symptoms with a pill. She is thoughtful, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and totally conscious of the patient's best interests. Better treatment than I got at Mayo, even. She actually recommended a book to me- how refreshing is that? Instead of a prescription, she directs me to a resource so that I am a better-educated patient. I actually feel kind of bad for gushing about her, because I don't think she is taking new patients... But if that changes, and you are looking for a great endo, this is the doctor to get!

I was exploring a hormonal imbalance and she helped me get on a bioidentical progesterone which was exceedingly helpful. I wasn't however expecting to be blindsided by the visit to follow. Having gotten out of a recent break-up I saw Dr. Parker to explore getting pregnant on my own--possibly more hormone treatments, thyroid tests, anything that would help my fertility as a late 30-something woman. The first words out of her mouth were 'Well... I have two children and I could not have done it without the love and support of my partner.' She proceeded to ask me the following questions: -- Was I financially secure enough to raise a kid? (39 with a very successful business) -- Why not consider adoption? (Always a consideration of mine but expensive and I want to try natural conception while I'm still young) -- Why not consider dating someone with a kid? (Already a stepmom from my previous relationship) She asked me how I planned on getting pregnant and how I planned to give birth. I told her I pondered home birth and she proceeded to tell me a home birth nightmare story. All in all it was an incredibly shaming and negative experience. Absolutely nothing positive or empowering was uttered from her mouth and being a woman doctor--who supposedly embraces an alternative lifestyle--I expected a lot more out of her. I was definitely emotional in our visit but I don't think that was justification for her to be so judgmental. I sought out a holistic doctor to have a more positive experience not to be treated like I'm incapable and out of touch with my own aspirations as a human. It's taken me some time to have the courage to write this review but I think it's important. I wouldn't want someone else to have the same experience. I won't be going back to her, nor would I recommend her as a doctor.

I never did see a sign that identified the building as 3800, I went to another address and figured it out. * There are various parking lots with signs telling why you can't park in that lot. *It was a walking maze, I met a woman who was clearly disabled as she could not find a handicapped entrance or easy entrance. * Inside I thought I would look for a cafeteria for a later stop, a few signs said they had one but wasn't clear where it was. Finally saw a sign that said it closes at 1pm. That's still lunch! * Restroom, just tried one, door lock didn't work properly, No soap in container, No hot air dryer, paper towel dispenser out of paper, no hot water. Oh yes there is sign regarding "clean hands are healthy hands". Found my waiting room which was pleasant and quiet and decorated in soft tones. Not much waiting, (I spent so much time trying to find my way it was getting late). I saw a specialist for a not to serious matter and felt rushed. I don't think I spent more than 12 minutes in his care. No one saw me out of the room.

During my visit, they told me I needed to do a follow up procedure for a test, which they booked for me during that appointment. After I went to the procedure, they sent me a bill for $2,000 and said it was because I was out of network. Mind you, my original appointment was IN network, so I didn't fathom that the procedure they booked me for would be out of network... had I known that, I would have just gone to Planned Parenthood and gotten the procedure done there for an affordable price? Then I spent the next year calling them and my insurance company trying to figure out why it wasn't being covered, neither Park Nicollet nor my insurance could figure why I was being denied coverage. Eventually I got sent to collections because it was taking too long to sort out, and now it has been a year and a half and I am still paying $100/month to pay off that appointment.

I had to go to the front desk and ask what happened. They told me their system didn't even register that i checked, which i did 4 times, and they were so sorry and rescheduled me. After that, I went upstairs to the second floor and checked in with another receptionist. She told me to wait in the chairs, so I assumed I was all set since I had already pre-registered online. But 40 minutes passed, and I still hadn't been called. I decided to check in again to confirm I was on the waiting list and mentioned that my appointment was at 3:00 p.m. The receptionist said yes, I was in the system -- but she didn't even apologize even though it was already 3:45 p.m. Instead, she told me my appointment "always takes a while." So I waited another 40 minutes. Around 4:40 p.m., I checked in once more, only to be told that I should have spoken to them when I first arrived -- and that now they were full and couldn't see me today. It took me a lot of courage and strength to come to their clinic, and yet I ended up feeling completely unseen and dismissed.

The most recent example of the exploitation of those who are without insurance is a 10 minute phone call "virtual visit" I requested for some antibiotics to be prescribed for bronchitis. I typically do not take the time to complete surveys or give feedback, but I feel compelled to share my experiece with him. Dr. Cass was a wealth of knowledge, kind, compassionate, and took the time to walk me through the entire process. He answered all my questions prior to the procedure and sat with my husband and I after to explain his findings. I have never had an experience with a physician like this. My husband continues to randomly remark about what a wonderful man he was. And he truly is. I ended up having several polyps and he suggested I come back in six months. I will have no anxiety about going through this proceedure again because I trust him 100% and know the experience will be painless. He should teach new doctors what exceptional health care looks like. The man is truly a gift. Stephanie J
