Awful. In Washington DC they are TONS of jobs being posted in the DMV area. But all Robert Half Staff does is is lie and lie and lie. They do not read emails, they do not do anything unless you call and remind them 5 times in a row weeks apart. You can send an email, they do not read it - ever ! They do NOT return voice mail calls. They do not call you on the time when they say they are meeting with you. It is the constant lying that I find particularly awful. They will say they are slow - but at the same time, they are "too busy" to respond to all the applications. One lie after another. Even for basic temporary jobs they cannot fill them or keep track of anything at all. A full month will go by and positions are still posted and they don't take it off the website. And this recruiter keeps saying "to be completely transparent" which is the exact pre-cursor to another LIE. It is WASTE OF TIME. They do NOT read resumes - they DO NOT have ANY handle on candidate's experience. You have to repeat things 10 times and they still do retain any information. WASTE OF TIME. I know from another recruiter there - that they Post FAKE JOBS to attract candidates to market them to places they do not have a contract with. read more

I have worked with this recruiter once and that was unprofessional. I have called and stated I was available and all I got was the answering machine and not even a service. I worked one job and the job ended on the second day because they stated they did'nt have enough work. Robert Half never called to tell me that the assignment was ending that day. I'm in desperate need of a job & want to relocate to the DC area. I found this agency through a google search & was quite pleased at their offerings & the fact they specialize in my field. Make sure you call ahead & make an appointment, as they do not accept walk-ins. On the day of my appointment, I had to fill out quite a bit of paperwork, in addition to already registering on the site. I met with a young lady named Karen, who is very nice, but didn't sugar-coat anything. You see, the agency doesn't want to work with "out of towners", you need to already be a resident. I was rather disappointed about this, because I explained to her I have a place to stay, if I'm given a long-term assignment. They do seem to have quite a bit of assignments, all ranging from short-term to long-term. The salary seems to be pretty competitive, too. read more

I was told by the switch board representative that there are no "senior managers" or heads of departments at Robert Half per say, which I'm not entirely sure I believe, sounds like hiding to me! I would not recommend this agency for employment. They are very unorganized and will give you incorrect information when they find an assignment for you. For example, I was told over the phone to report to an assignment at 9:30am which I did. I was on time. When I get to the assignment, the organization they sent me to is livid and tells me I'm late! They said I was supposed to be there at 9:00am! Clearly, Robert Half has a communication problem with their clients and the only person who it affected was me. I was working on an assignment for over 5 months when I got the news that my father unexpectedly passed away. This is when I was working from home due to Covid. I had to immediately leave DC to plan my father's funeral and deal with his estate....all on my own. I offered to bring the laptop I was using to work from home back to the office, rather than sending it back (at my own expense - as they suggested). They refused my offer so I let them know I needed to leave DC to deal with my father's death and would return the laptop when I was back in town. They then threated to file a police report on me over a laptop I offered to return right away before I had to leave town. Imagine having a family member pass away and being threatened with legal action and the police by a company you're working for. Even after they knew my circumstances, they showed zero compassion. This place is wonderful and the team is amazing, what sets TCG apart is the great personalized service they provide to make sure you get the job you're looking for. At first I didn't expect much (because the bad experience I had with requirement agencies) , but after talking to Allie and Lally I was pretty impressed with the amount of knowledge they have about the industry and the jobs they offer. To say I was very pleased with my experience working with the Creative Group is quite the understatement. After almost a year of graduating and not hearing back from, what seemingly was, hundreds of companies about positions I applied for--I was referred by a friend to contact the staffing agency for temp positions that would help support me financially while I continued looking for a job in my field. This was the best thing I could have done. Seriously. A week after contacting the agency, I had an interview with Lauren Moreno (nee Dobos--who is awesome by the way!). The meeting lasted for about an hour and consisted of us walking through my resume and discussing what kind of clients/jobs they usually get from clients. Not even two days later, I was contacted by the team about 2 potential assignments. I agreed to take on one of them as the web coordinator for a large non-profit organization. This assignment was supposed to last for only a few weeks. After staying with the organization for 5 months, I was offered a full-time, salaried position as the digital content assistant. In retrospect, I'm not sure what I would be doing right now if it weren't for the Creative Group. I strongly recommend new grads, and even people looking to switch career paths, to reach out and check their available positions on the website. I relocated from Boston, MA to the District at the beginning of 2018, and thought that since I had worked (& had positive experiences working) for Robert-Half in Boston, that it would be an easy transition. Completely wrong. On Jan 26th I called and introduced myself to Justin Decker, the agent in charge for a few positions in finance. Mr. Decker was polite on the phone and requested a copy of my updated resume, which I furbished within the hour. I followed up and left a VM the followind day without avail, four days later I sent a follow-up email, but again to no avail. I have however continued to receive a number of outreaches from the Boston office for potential positions there. Unfornately I have not heard anything from the local Robert-Half (aka Creative group) office, even though I updated my address in January 2018. read more

I joined RHT in 2008. At that time, I only had internship experience. The recruiters at Robert Half helped me get my first, full-time IT position within weeks. I stayed with that company for a little over two years. Since then, RHT has helped me grow my resume. They work to find the best fit for you, based on your skill level AND the skills you would like to acquire. In addition. RHT offers an online portal, which can be used to study for IT certifications and exams. This has been a great help, as it saves money one would spend on training courses. I tried to contact my 'rep' MULTIPLE times through calls and emails to check on the status of his search to find me a position in the DC area and never ONCE heard back. Every call went to voicemail, every email was unanswered, nothing. After months of trying to reach ANYONE i gave up. You'll have a better chance of finding work by throwing your resume in the trash and someone picking it out than being referred by Robert half. As she requested, I emailed an updated copy of my resume to her, and agreed to a Skype interview based upon her availability. Wish I could go lower than one star. I received an unsolicited call from a RH recruiter to come in for an interview for several placements. I drove all the way downtown and paid $20 for parking, and RH does not validate. She said I was a great candidate and she was going to talk me up with her "team" and she would be getting back with me soon about multiple placements. Ten days went by with no contact, so I e-mailed her and asked about the status of follow-up. Two weeks went by with no answer to that e-mail. Then I did get a BOT email from RH wanting to know if I would like to use their resume writing service (which I presume is not free). Very unprofessional on several levels, bad faith representations, pathetic communications skills, and wasted half a day with travel downtown and meaningless "interview". I had an interview with one of the recruiter the interview initially went well but what a disappointment they make you fill tons of paperwork as soon as you enter the door which seems they want to fasten the process of you getting hired. Well that is a big misunderstanding. Do not expect them to follow up or finding you anything. They are very busy and keep calling you for job positions but are never able to place you. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND This was my second time trying to use Robert Half at the Washington, DC location, and this attempt was just as bad as my first. Four years ago I worked with a lady, Maja, who did get me into an interview, but told me that she wasn't going to prepare me or discuss what went wrong in my interview as she did for her other clients as I had more work experience than them. I went to Robert Half for help because I needed it, not to be patted on the head. My second time was just a few months ago and after being reassured by David Muskheli that this experience wouldn't be repeated, everything seemed to start off well. After a few weeks of not hearing anything (which was expected), I had been contacted about a possible opportunity that I could be put in for and set up a phone meeting for the following morning to discuss it [during the little bit of free time I had that day between a morning work conference call and my shift at work]. I sat there for an hour without any phone calls or emails, to later find out that his meeting at work ran late and he couldn't be bothered to let me know about it until two hours later. I had spent my only free time that day waiting by the phone for him, and he then assumed that I had the time to call him before 6:30p that day to make up for his earlier missed call (I had mentioned in a previous email that the only free time that I had until 9pm that day was during the hour of our scheduled call that morning). After replying and mentioning that I was available the entire next day if he wanted to talk then, I never heard from him again. I tried touching-base with him again over the past few weeks through email (as there have been very big changes to my resume and current job status, and) to ask if our inability to touch-base meant that I was not being put in as an applicant, and I still haven't received a response. His inability to make it to our call and the late email regarding it wouldn't have bothered me so much if he had actually made an effort to reach out to me again within an appropriate amount of time. The recruiting managers are incredibly unprofessional. I understand that they are busy people, but this is their job and they should at least have the decency to respond to emails - or at least let a person know if they will no longer be working together - as that is both the professional and proper thing to do. "Ghosting" a client is inappropriate. This may be common practice at Robert Half, and it definitely doesn't speak highly of the company and its employees. read more

The beeping sounds kinda gave it away and it was very distracting. She probably thought that I couldn't hear anything on my end. She asked about my skills, pay, and we talked about a job opportunity that was not a good fit. She told me that she was my point of contact and if I had any questions that I should email or call her. It's been almost three weeks and I emailed her twice with no response. I've wasted enough time with this company and the recruiters. AGAIN, NO RESPECT FOR YOUR TIME AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! read more

This office team location lacks professionalism. I spoke with a recruiter by the name of Juliana. She called to see if I would be available to work a short term position last minute and while trying to make a decision she abruptly interrupted and stated that if it was a big deal for me to make the decision that she would just call another candidate. I was very turned off by this experience and will probably never use Office Team again. If you're looking for a job try Aerotek or the Ford Agency. RHT recruiters only believe what the client says because the client is the one that pays RHT. I've passed a 10 year background check along with a credit check and my recruiter K.A. didn't want to listen to anything I had to say because the client wanted me off the job site based upon erroneous distortion of the facts and casting aspersions on my good character. Maybe if I was a young female like the full-time staff I'd still be on the job-site. Who do I file a complaint with when one of the GWU female employees makes the statement to me "you should come over to my place and help me clean?" How am I supposed to handle that? In the time since my horrible experience in 2012 (see above tale) with them, they had reached out to me several times with possible opportunities. Each time I told them professionally they were barking up the wrong tree and why (recounted the 2012 experience). Then I January of this year Sarah from the DC office emailed. Her email contained that she viewed my online portfolio and pointed out examples and what she liked about them. Since she did her research and responded and gave her the opportunity to start anew. Yes, I told her what had happen in the pass, but it was how and what she said in her email that got me to give her employer another opportunity. Also, I figured that unprofessional bastards that treated me horrible had since moved on to one of the seven circles of hell. After a very nice Skype interview, I agreed to allow her to represent me. They have gotten me a week long assailment, that went good. They have hit up for a few other, but I had already had another assignment from another company. read more

When I first contacted TCG, it was for a listing that I saw for a graphic designer. It was a little weird at first b/c I went in for an interview under the impression that it would be for that position, but it was actually an interview for other positions, which I didn't have an issue with, but I wish it was more clear that it was an interview to match me up with other positions. I walked in, and took about 15 minutes or so to fill our their forms. After that initial interview, it was great! They always contacted me when they found a lead and help set up phone interviews w/ three other potential employers. They even got me a one week stint with National Geographic as well! After that, they found a permanent position for me, set up the interviews, and was finally given a contract to hire offer! TCG was always prompt with calls, and kept tabs with me very well when they found potential positions. If you are looking for a job, I would highly recommend them as a net to cast out to try to get more potential jobs, while you yourself continue to look and apply. I also got a great chance to practice phone interviews as well during the process! It doesn't cost anything to you as a potential employee (aside from the metro ride into their office) It was a pleasure to work with them, and I would not be at my current job (1.5 years!) if it wasn't for them. I've been "active" with TCG for months, and they have had pretty much nothing for me for almost a year--a few one-day jobs, but nothing long term. I occasionally get calls from my recruiter (or another one there) with a great new opportunity, and I ask them to submit me for it. Then it's crickets. No one calls to let me know the outcome. When I call them, I'm told that the client decided to hire someone else or to hire no one at all (really??), but I don't appreciate the silence from the recruiter once they have an outcome. Or even when it takes the client days (weeks!) to make a decision to move forward, it would be kind of the recruiter to email/call/text with an update so candidates know they're not forgotten. I feel like they're stringing me along with these calls and one-day bones they throw at me every several weeks or so. read more

Don't work for them. They had me come in and work for two days on a "test" assignment. Although I completed the majority of the tasks assigned to me, I was given a pile of work that made it quite difficult. They never paid me even though I asked about it and they said they would. Even if I was not the right fit for the company I should have been paid for my time. Do yourself a favor and look on Craigslist or some other resource to find something on your own. read more

The absolute worst!!! I went in looking for a perm position and despite my requests to connect me to the perm team NO ONE has followed up. I have worked with them since late 2015 and despite having worked on various assignments through them since then, I am always the one reaching out. They do no advocate on your behalf and could care less where they place you. They take advantage of people who are in desperate situations and then forget about them. They do not check on their employees, and do not respond to emails. They're only concerned about meeting their quota. Max has always displayed unprofessional behaviour and I have requested not to work with him. Requests have been ignored. I've worked with Audrey and Samantha and they know how to hunt you down when they need you but when you need them they are nowhere to be found. They do not place me in jobs that match my skills and I am starting to wonder if this has to do with my race. As an EA in Washington DC, these things often matter when they shouldn't.
