Robert Half horrible experience. I've received calls from a total of 4 recruiters that don't follow up or return call. the receptionist and customer service is the worst I've ever experienced . I would never ever recommend this placement agency to anyone on any level. Robert Half needs to keep in mind there are to many competitors out here and folks don't have to deal with them read more

I greatly enjoyed my time working with Melissa Lim and would recommend her as a recruiter for accounting/finance. She has personal experience working with large CPA firms and is well-rounded and personable. She is also a great listener and offers good mentoring advice for positions. That is, she won't just give you any role that "may be" a fit just to make a profit. She is definitely a fiduciary and a good example of what a recruiter should be like. I read more

I really enjoy working for this company. I've worked with them for almost 3 years. Within this time I've been blessed to work with Ian Powell. He is the absolute best! Reliable, dedicated and direct service he ensures. I feel confident knowing I have him working on my behalf. With temporary placements I've been able to maintain and accomplish financial stability. He really makes you feel like your more than just a client. As if he's your friend! Your feel confident he is putting his best foot forward to keep you employed. I couldn't of asked for a better recruiter. I recommend him totally if your in the administrative field. read more

Had a FaceTime interview, then an interview with the employer but never heard back from anyone regarding the position. It's seems like my app is handed down to different people at Robert Half, and seems to be very unorganized there. I have been working with Kevin Goldson and Macy Metzner. Both have been fantastic in helping me land a job within a couple weeks of meeting with them. Once I finished that assignment, they both took the time to meet with me and are once again helping me land another assignment. Office team is an outstanding company. Their team is awesome! Aaron G. (whom I like to call my personal advocate) really plugged me into to his resources. He made me a priority and I was placed on assignments immediately, never missing a pay period. Along with Aaron, Rich N., Erin C., Ally D., Courtney J., and others presented me to clients that lead to me holding positions that I truely enjoyed. Thank you Officeteam for assessing me and ensuring that I was apart of the winning team! You are AWESOME!!! Thanks, Sharina Weatherspoon Happy Consultant read more

I started working with Office Team in March 2014 and every since that day that have been great sending me on a lot of assignments to keep my experience fresh and my resume looking spectacular. I was seriously in the need of a job and I called at 7:45 that morning, spoke with Rich and that afternoon I was set to meet with him. Talk about VIP Interviewing. That afternoon I met with Lauren Kuemmeler and it was great work from there on.... I originally started working with Lauren Kuemmeler and started getting great leads and then I began working Julia Spector, Erin Carter, Rich Norreen, Jessica Torres, Aaron Geiman and Ally Dutra. And the the great team they are they introduced me to Robert Half Financials where I worked with Tyler Korn and Jessica Mason and they are oh so great to. Most recently they sent me on a assignment which was originally for a week and now 2 and half months later I am still there enjoying every day of it. Lauren always checks in with me to make sure the assignment is still going great and has always been supportive and an allover great supporter of the crazy work force out there. I refer lots of people to them when they are looking for work because they are so great at what they do! read more

Robert Half and Associates in my experience is a phenomenal company. Although they are very large, I was impressed with the personal yet professional attention, assessment of my strengths and the plethora of opportunities consistently offered me. I thoroughly enjoyed each of my assignments and learned much from each one. I felt welcomed, heard and respected by the team beginning with Emily Turner. Emily has incredible energy, dedication and devotion to mentoring new team members and helped me feel part of the company. She is communicative, responsive and motivated. Processes and procedures were well defined, fairly easy to navigate and payment was prompt. If you're looking to get off the couch and get to work, start with this team. They will put you to work. Even if it's not the salary or position you used to have, it's been my experience that a foot in the door, with an opportunity to really demonstrate your strengths and talents, is the best way to find a win-win employment situation. And Office Team can assist in getting you "in the door." Thank you Emily, Lauren, Jessica and the whole team (including the kind receptionists) for supporting me in my quest for employment. PS - I was working within a week of stepping foot into their office. read more

These women have a super respectable hustle; I'm amazed by what they do! They are incredibly diligent about checking in with me, whether I'm on an assignment or in between, and they are tirelessly singing my praises and advocating for my candidacy in the best positions they have. Emily Turner was kind enough to give me a chance despite the overly artsy attire I wore to my interview (if, like me, you tend toward the eclectic, tone it down and go ultra conservative), and savvy enough to recognize and promote my marketable skills and experience. I'm less a fan of the process of letting me know about/asking me whether I'm interested in every position before they submit me as a candidate, as I am often told the client has gone with someone else. Maybe this approach (of presenting multiple candidates at once and telling us before they have a sense of a client's interest) is unavoidable, but no matter how confident I am, it's still a little nerve wracking, and I haven't had that experience with other agencies. Finally, I've seen better wage rates for similar jobs at other agencies, but they both either didn't have as many jobs available, or don't have nearly the interpersonal savoir faire of the SF Office Team. Overall, you're in capable, caring hands here. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Mark Caraway when I was new to the area. He was very professional and helpful in so many ways. He was very quick to respond, reliable and great to work with on finding the right assignment. If you are not serious about your design career don't bother, but if you are at the point where you're on the level or are willing to put in the work to get there this is the place. With the opportunities presented, and the guidance provided by Kevin Goldson I was able elevate my visual design career well-beyond where I could have done so myself. Personal attention and actual results defined our relationship, outside of a constant flow of well-qualified design opportunities, Kevin also served as a kind of personal trainer for my own industry positioning. Amazing. The opportunities that Robert Half has are countless. Recruiters are well plugged to every industry. Please seek for better opportunities. I have used RHI on multiple occasions. Each occurrence landed me a position within a solidified institution. My recruiter is Tyler K., who I highly advise for job seekers that are looking for a diligent, courteous counterpart. Tyler listened to my wants when I was in need of another opportunity. Once he found a match, he offered great advices along with resources to help me land the position He was a referral from Julia S. Both are amazing professionals that listen. Because the above are great listeners, it allowed them to filter through the opportunities they had to better assist. That said, my experience was a two way street. Whatever, I put in, it was matched and some additional from the mentioned. You can't go wrong with either. I highly suggest the above for a better opportunity! read more

I'm so glad I came across Office Team and Alexa as my recruiter! Unlike many other recruiting firms, the day I met her I heard back from her with open positions, She really got to know what I was looking for and my career goals, and only suggested open positions that met my expectations and didn't waste time. What I really appreciated was how much time she took with me to go over the position before the interviews, and help prep me for it. She was available for any questions anytime, and made me feel comfortable going into the interview. After the interview, she thoroughly followed up with any feedback she had and questions I had. Her easy and friendly personality makes it very easy to communicate with her. Alexa was able to place me in my current position, where I've been at for 6 months now, and love. Even though it's been months since she placed me, the relationship didn't end there. She will still follow up with me on a regular basis on how I am doing. I am very appreciative with how much time she took with me, and continues to do so. If I ever were to use a recruiter again (I've experienced my fair share), Alexa and Office Team would be my go to! read more

I'm disappointed with a few of the recruiters at Robert Half. I have noticed they will pursue you if it benefits them, but if not, they will not return phone calls or emails. Because they are "Numbers" based and have a quota to make the candidate is not priority number one. The receptionist in the San Francisco office is often rude and impatient if you ask questions she may not know the answer to. Basic questions like the phone number to the payroll department or their email address. Also, don't expect to be placed for a permanent position as this does not benefit them. Not too many employers are willing to pay the fee for a permanent employee. Thank You Robert Half and I'm not interested in your computer generated message asking for my name or having your hiring manager contact me to make it better! read more

I would give them a ZERO if possible! I have been waiting for my paycheck for OVER 3 weeks I keep emailing them about it and I get NO response! The paper work they have you do is more work then the actual jobs they assign you too! There jobs are horrible! read more

Warning! I recommend NOT using this agency at all...it's just a cattle-call with no real job opportunities! I know the economy is bad, but don't give the impression that you're going to help someone find a job when you're really just "resume fishing". I am no longer using them and will not give any recommendations regarding this agency to anyone in the future. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! read more

The people at Accountemps are like used car salespeople. 1. They seem eager to meet you initially, but they never bother to respond to emails/calls after the initial meeting. You won't hear from them unless they think they can put you on a job. 2. If they submit your resume to a client for job, and you don't get invited to interview, the recruiters won't even bother to update you - they would just leave you hanging. 3. The recruiters are pretty stupid. Some of them have had no actual work experience in accounting or finance. Listening to them trying to describe a job assignment is a joke; most of them barely understand what the jobs are. 4. Their pay rates are ridiculously low; their mark-up to the clients are so high, which forces them to pay their workers low rates. I would stay far away from this company. read more

I cannot be more dissatisfied with a staffing agency than I am with Office Team. I signed up with Robert Half Legal and then was advised that they are a sister company of Office Team. I had already had a terrible experience with Office Team in another city but was willing to give it another try. I found them to be incompetent and disorganized. They don't pay attention to details and they were hasty, so mistakes were made and sloppily smoothed over. In the first experience Office Team didn't find me a job with one of their networked employers, they had called the employer from out of the newspaper and begged him for an interview. Office Team was unaware that I had already applied with that company before signing up with them. The employer agreed to interview me and wanted to hire me, but Office Team had threatened him with a huge fee and hassle if he hired me. This employer was not affiliated with Office Team or signed up with them for temps, they just called him out of the newspaper like I did. The employer was afraid that if he hired me he would get into trouble because Office Team was pretty clear with him that they owned me. I didn't get placed, and the employer was sad that he could not hire me. When I was faced with trying Office Team again through Robert Half Legal I thought, "Maybe I can give them another try, perhaps situation number one was just a bad misunderstanding." But boy was I wrong. The second time around Office Team made a critical error in processing my identification--- a very basic first step of employment. This error lead to a situation where I was basically working illegally as an unidentified individual and therefor they could not pay me until the ID situation was resolved. That is kind of a big deal, working for free and engaging in something that is illegal under employment law. They were very apologetic and wanted to fix the situation, but if they had only paid attention they would not have had any problems and could even have resolved this mistake to my satisfaction; but they were so incompetent and shady about resolving their errors that I went ahead and quit as soon as I was aware of the situation. The ID was resolved and I was eventually paid, but I have no respect for the integrity of business that Office Team runs. Office Team and other staffing agencies make money off of your work. That might be okay considering they hook you up with something that pays; but they do not care about your needs as an employee, they care about getting you into a job so they can get their money! read more

During my recent job search I tried various methods of finding a job and figured I'd give RHI a try since they seem to be well established and have 'name brand recognition'. I made my appointment and took the time to go down there only to find they hadn't told me to bring my birth certificate (they said proof of ID which I took to mean my drivers license). Then, I met with the recruiter and filed out page after page of paperwork and left with the understanding that I would be hearing from them. I never did. My emails and phone calls to the recruiter went unanswered - even when I simply asked if it was my lack of a Birth Cert on file that was maybe holding up my paperwork. Perhaps this works for some people, but as for me I will be taking my business to some other, more responsive, recruiting firm. read more

They have gotten me a lot of work in the past, but can be VERY flaky, and some of the agents are straight up bitchy. Their office must be very disorganized--whenever I call the office the receptionist transfers me to the wrong person, and I never know who I'm supposed to talk to. I had an agent who quit, and I didn't get work for 2 weeks because I was leaving messages on her voicemail that no one got. Very unreliable! On the other hand, they are the only temp agency in San Francisco that has ever gotten me consistent work. So I guess you have to find a way to work through the burocracy and deal with their bullsh*t. read more

it's not the company, but the office that sucks. I've used Robert Half offices in other cities that rocked, but this one is a piece of krap! I passed the stupid background tests, I tested well, to be honest with you I'm quite marketable? Maybe not for every little niche. So where did they send me? To a latchkey client who was late to their own place so I had to knock an hour off of pay. The client was beyond casual, even tacky? But the subjective confrontation made by the client seemed to indicate that they didn't want to pay overhead fees? Of course it's the temp that's always blamed for it. Not to mention, they or their clients only give you not even a 24 hour notice for interviews and assignments and the pay is GARBAGE. Excuse me? They want a three piece suit for an $11/hour day job, and they'll tell you about it the day before, right before quitting time. So if you had plans, etc. They'll hold you up. Why? Because the economy is so horrible that they can. The temp pulls it off, then they cut off all communications with you. The best is when the "client cancels the meeting", again after you made the day available specifically for them. Mind you, we're either scrambling for work or we have to schedule a day off for assignments. This is incredibly rude, to say the least. Not to mention, they're leaving US out of money when they pull this garbage. Then they want to blame the candidate. Did they lose the deal? Why would the job candidate want to lose the deal? Many of us NEED a job. Since these agencies are trying to monopolize the job market... they lose one deal. For us, it's our bread and butter. For some reason, some of their people have lost it. It's the agency, they need to stop treating employees this way. You want people to represent you in a certain manner? Then YOU enforce that exact culture in YOUR OWN OFFICE. LEAD BY EXAMPLE SLEAZEBAGS! omfg only SF staffing agencies are TACKY enough to have either yuppie bimbos or gutter trash representing them. They and many others already broke the law by posting ghost ads (misleading advertisements). Why do you think they're all anonymous? Again, it's THIS office, in San Francisco. I have NEVER had recruiters this inept before I moved here. Rude is an understatement, *ARROGANT* narcissist is a closer description. Don't hog up my time then cancel at the last minute. They did it to me more than once. If there was a problem on the resume, let's fix it. But to run someone through the ringer then flake, why? It costs me money to interview? BART. Muni. Gas. Parking. There are former dot com millionaires who are homeless due to the economy. God I wish I could charge them for everytime they made me use my badly needed money to make their arrogant, worthless acquaintance. Just so I can watch them waste oxygen. It's not just cruel. It's malicious. We didn't go through the trouble of getting our education, training and credentials to "lose" out to competition or an internal candidate. I think arrogant is an understatement. read more

As someone who was looking for a temp job to get my feet wet with experience, I had the pleasure of working with Leon. Having read a majority of the reviews posted here I felt compelled to weigh in. I understand the negative comments because I understand how difficult it can be when you are out of work and you need help. When you sign up for any temp agency, you expect them to help you get access to interviews and opportunities that you otherwise wouldn't have had a chance at. And that is exactly what Robert Half provided for me. They weren't miracle workers. They didn't make a job appear out of nowhere. But they also never led me to believe that they could make jobs appear out of nowhere. From day one, they were frank and honest about the types of opportunities and pay I could expect them to be able to deliver. I dealt in particular with Office Team and my contacts were mainly Joe George and Jackie Kim, but I also had some dealings with other members of their team. Everyone was professional and courteous, and I never felt that they fell short of their end of the deal. The complaints that people have lodged against this company are understandable, because they are complaints that are commonly made about temp agencies, it's the nature of the relationship. You, the employee, sacrifice part of your wage, in exchange for opportunities you otherwise wouldn't have had. And it's not like they force you to accept their opportunities. If the pay is too low, and you think they are taking too much, you can decline and continue to look for work on the open market. But speaking from my personal experience, when I wasn't with the agency, I could send out 30 resumes a day and not hear a peep back. As soon as I registered with Robert Half, I got an interview. I didn't get the job but it led to another temp opportunity that filled the void for a couple months. When that ended, they found me a couple other temp opportunities here and there, some better than others, until eventually another real temp to hire job came around. I got another interview. They put up other people for the same position, I had to compete and go through 5 interviews. But eventually I got the position. It took 7 months and a lot of struggle, but it is an opportunity that I never would have had access to if I hadn't registered with Robert Half. My point is, you can't expect much in this world without putting some patience and hard work behind it, and Robert Half is definitely a tool that if used correctly can lead to a successful transition from unemployment to full time work. Just stay positive and persistent and you will succeed. read more

In these challenging economic times, it's always illuminating when you receive acknowledgment and recognition for your work experience and marketable skills. Unfortunately, Robert Half International seemingly likes to dangle an unattainable carrot in front of job-seekers promising you a world of jobs with no professional delivery! In other words, you are LIED to! I was contacted by one of their technology recruiters, Justin Kabalin, by phone regarding my "impressive" resume. By the tone in his voice, I knew the whole standard rear-kissing speech was coming ... When he expressed "MANY" job opportunities were crossing his desk daily and that I fit into most of them, he stated he would be interested in meeting me sometime soon. In a friendly response, I stated I would appreciate being considered for one of those positions but have never, ever heard back from him. I followed-up via e-mails and leaving voice-mail messages, but again, no reply. Perhaps I didn't coddle effectively to him as most of these recruiters seem to enjoy ... I seriously have to question the purpose of these job-placement agencies who almost seemingly enjoy mocking the situation of the jobless or those seriously looking to switch jobs or careers. After performing a background check on Mr. Kabalin (it's nice when you can do a background check on them since you know they will be doing it on you!), I realized I was dealing with an almost freshly graduated college kid with little to no experience (3 jobs in the past 3 years) in understanding the importance of the real world. Such irresponsibility blatantly displayed by Robert Half International is questionable to their integrity as a professional job-placement agency. While these job-placement agents and in-company HR managers EXPECT potential applicants with 2- to 3-plus years experience in prior jobs with little to no time-off inbetween, Robert Half International is ostensibly employing half-baked individuals to man resumes, looking busy by wasting time of actually contacting job-seekers, but cowardly NEVER following-up with any leads. But I guess these recruiters at RHI should be so lucky to continue having jobs as they toy with resumes in hopes of making their quota. read more

I had long written Accountemps off my list as this agency has proven to be inept & unprofessional per my dealings & experience with them in the past. After realizing their incompetence soon after, I emailed the agent back telling her to remove my name from their database collection of resumes. So any other bad reviews must have merits. Don't waste time with them & I suggest do your own direct search instead....at least you won't have to worry about being "undercut" so they can take their "cut." read more

Unethical. Unbelivevable. Unusable. If you want to be pumped for leads, spend the required 2 hours in this corporate, not creative, building. Adrienne C.: If I were you, I would ask around as to who you can talk to for legal advice (Department of Labor, Labor Board, etc.) because that just doesn't not sound right. Staffing agencies do not OWN anybody! And threatening the employer with a law suit and harassment if they hire you? That SHOULD be illegal! And I've never heard of an agency that's as ANAL about references as OfficeTeam! They HAVE to be CURRENT references. AND they cannot be volunteer references, they HAVE to be references from PAID positions! Well maybe if they had given me a few more assignments, I would have been able to build UP my references from PAID jobs! And if you see a position on their web site and ask them to send your resume over to the company, the simply will NOT send it over if THEY (OfficeTeam) feels that you're not a good match. THEY make that decision without the company even SEEING your resume! And if you ask them to tell you the name of the company, they will NOT tell you. And you're not even allowed to ask them what they've been doing to help you find work! They say you're being "confrontational". BOY! They REALLY tighten the screws on you! I've been registered with them for well over a year now...if possible, it would be zero stars. I worked an 8-hour Cisco event at AT&T Park, didn't receive a lunch & was underpaid; I had the distinct displeasure of speaking with Mr. Rich Noreen regarding the situation. He was very unprofessional & belittling, stating that we'd sat around for 2 hours (try more like 45 minutes, waiting for our assignments...not my problem, & since WHEN do you get your lunch break before you've worked?!) & that counted as our lunch. I definitely didn't appreciate how he came at me as though he was doing me a FAVOR by not paying me correctly for hours I'd worked. I later responded to one of their so-called evaluation emails, & gave them very low marks regarding the quality of service received. All of a sudden, I receive a call from someone named Gretel, claiming to be upper management & stating that she wanted to talk to me regarding the situation. Well, that did absolutely NOTHING. I expressed how disrespectful, bullying & unprofessional Mr. Noreen was during our call, & felt as thought this went into the ear I was talking into, & out the other. So, seeing that you all apparently hoped I'd simply brush it under the rug, I'm forced to get my Yelp on. No, I'm not going to quibble over the 2 hours pay you cheated out of, but I WILL make sure that you're on blast for being tacky & disrespectful, and for your supposed upper-level management allowing it. Awww, have I been BLACKLISTED?! Since that Cisco assignment, I've been met with absolute SILENCE; I've worked several temp positions here & there previously, & kept hearing from friends of mine (that registered WAY after I did) that had been placed on long-term (18+ months) assignments with a very prestigious bank here in San Francisco. When I email the person Gretel stated was in charge of such positions (as I've worked with her before), I HEAR NOTHING. When I call said person to find out what I can do to be considered for the same, I HEAR NOTHING. This nothingness is VERY commonplace here; the attrition rate is huge, & those that are still there are pretty indifferent about helping you. read more

I agree with previous posters here on Yelp. Yes they get your references and cold call those firms asking if they have staffing needs. Everyone in the world has heard of them so I don't know why they need to call more firms. The employees turn over about every 6-9 months and its like a boiler room from what I've heard. Also odd there were lots of bad reviews on here months and months ago when I checked and now there is only a couple. How does a firm get rid of them? read more

Just like most legal staffing agencies, RHL just wants to collect your resume and employment info so their recruiters can meet their weekly quotas. I was asked to come in for an interview, which lasted only 15-20 minutes because it was like my recruiter's "mission statement" rather than an interview. She didn't care about my skills or career goals, but focused on what she could get out of me---$$$. This "interview" was taken place in March 2009 and I have NEVER heard from them ever since. When I moved to the LA area and asked my SF recruiter to transfer my file to RHL's LA office, she was very UNHAPPY, COLD, and RUDE. Well, she has never ever provided me with descent job info, except whether I would be willing to take an assignment WAY BELOW the market rate. (I, of course, said no to that.) Overall, don't waste your time. RHL's has a poor reputation in the industry. Just google their name and see what people say about RHL. read more

This review is coming from the words of my husband: After a high recommendation from a co-worker, it was suggested I tried them out because they "did her good." I called and set up an interview which, went really well and felt quite positive ON THE PHONE. I went downtown for the interview, copies of resume and references on a zip drive (the printers were closed) in case they needed the resume again and a copy of my references. The recruiter did indeed ask for the references however, did not feel like using the zip drive to obtain them - from what I read below, I'm glad I didn't have my references printed. He spent perhaps 10 minutes with me and the whole time belittling me with a smile on his face. He also made it very clear to me that I was not going to get a job and my resume would be placed last because I went to a 4 year college online (Phoenix University) and not a prestigious 4 year college. The whole thing experience left me feeling utterly useless because of their "down their nose" attitude. Talk about feeling defeated by the people who are supposed to help you! Over all, though everyone was pleasant, they walked around with their noses in the air. The place was thick of arrogance and attitude hidden behind a fake smile. Imagine being told how much you suck for going to an online college with a pretty, polite smile on their face - I was so upset and discouraged that I just wanted to vomit on his desk. How dare you tell me to my face that I'm being put at the end of the list because my college isn't prestigious enough?!? read more

I was a little surprised with the gusto that Robert Half brought to the table. The same day I sent in my resume for a job posting I received a call from Devin Curran. Withing a few days I was in the SF office filling out paperwork and going to interviews. My first interview was set up by Lauren Corcoran. She understood my situation as a commuter\student. With her encouragement I took a job in the city that later brought me on as a full time employee. Lauren is a absolute pleasure to work with. She genuinely values my needs which made working with her so much easier. For anyone looking to work with the company remember this one tip. They will give you the world. You have to be willing to put in just as much effort. Always keep in contact with your rep and make sure your needs are clearly communicated. And remember, you are representing Robert Half as much as you are representing yourself when on the job! read more
