What I really liked is she asked me questions about my work style and how that matched with the culture at certain companies. I mean really, Brittney R? Yassss, thank you for considering this as my career and not just another job. She also walked me through the screening/onboarding process. I felt like she was my magical genie in a bottle, who was with me every step of the way and when I clocked into work on the first day, she was like, "my work here is done." Mark. Salvador. Is. The. Man. I recently partnered with Robert Half after struggling to find roles and Mark hooked me up with interview after interview. He's very responsive and his attention to detail is on another level. He makes sure that jobs you interview for are relevant to your experience and personality. I don't know how he does it but he does. He also helps you with interview prepping and really describes the role you're interviewing for well so that you know what you're getting into. Not to sound corny but he truly wants to help and wants what's best for you. He actually had a role for me that he was contemplating on applying me for due to the commute time, but we talked it through and he ended up submitting my resume, I interviewed, and I got the role. My identity, fingerprints and voice were stolen by this agency. I was offered a position with Wells Fargo but before I could start I was required to allow the agency to complete a background test. I was sent to an agency for fingerprinting but they didn't even verify my ID. Once I started the tech department claimed to need a voice recognition program for security but I now know it allows software to impersonate my voice. Also, the bay area requires employers to provide transportation assistance and they stole mine. Good Luck! read more

I didn't read Yelp, my bad, and I came here a new grad last year, with zero experience on getting a 'real job,' and went in for an intake. That was fine outside of my car getting broken into in the parking lot. Before I knew it though I was getting calls/emails/voicemails/the Bat-Signal left and right from all these different people who, I'm pretty sure, did not listen to a word I said about the job I wanted to get. I was getting shoved into a slot that didn't fit anything I could do, or was way below what I could do. Then when I turned down a position that I was not interested in I got a catty response - trying to sell the job like it was "the most popular position we have" and that they were doing me a favor. Uh huh, sure, if it's so popular then why are you trying to sell me on it so hard? Very unprofessional when things don't go their way. Absolute resume mill with people who get mad that you don't want a specific position, or say that said position has to be filled by the next day and then don't get back to you for longer than the next day! DO NOT use this place. And you may ask why I am writing this review now, a year later, why not then? Because, my dudes, I am still getting emails from recruiters. read more

A few months ago, I left my job and started looking for another one. As a former co-worker had success using Robert Half Technology, I figured I would give them a try. When I walked in for my appointment, the recruiter told me that I would have no problem finding work, as I had been working in IT for over 7 years with the same company. She complimented me on my appearance and my resume giving me a "1A" rating, the company's highest for job applicants. Then, she presented me with 3 different job opportunities. For all 3 of them, she would forward my resume to the employers and highly recommend me to all of them. According to her, I should expect calls from these companies within a week for interviews, as they were in need of staff ASAP. Unfortunately, this is where the dream died. I never heard from any of these companies. When I called the recruiter back, she said they "went in another direction," but that she would find me work right away. I did not hear back from the recruiter for 3 months, after I found work on my own. I understand that the economy is still struggling, and that there are many unemployed technology workers. But to be given a line, then forgotten right away is unacceptable for a staffing agency. read more

I am a big fan! I just went through the RH hiring process and can tell you the experience was great. In general, the interview process is fraught with multiple emails going back and forth, phone interview(s), in-person interview(s), etcetera. And, often-times, at the end of it all, no decision is made either way--you are simply left hanging. At RH I had one call with the recruiter and one (albeit lengthy) phone interview with the hiring manager. From there I did one on-site and had a job offer a week later. I got a little antsy by the end of that week, but the recruiter (Kevin Carey, Assistant VP) kept me informed every step of the way. The process was short enough so as not to be nerve wracking, but just long enough to let me know that they cared about who they were hiring. It is hard to find a good staffing agency in the East Bay and I was tired of commuting to the city, so I looked into what opportunities they had. They were fair, consistent and had jobs when I wanted them. Wow... talk about a complete waste of time. These people only want to waste your time and low ball you. Do not call them back or respond to their posts, if you value your time. Come on ... a seasoned recruiter should be at least older then 20 years old - you should at least have some experience in your related field...And please - If you put something to the effect of "Million Dollar Deal Maker" on your business card - then that says a lot about you and your used car sales man ways - I mean... If you have to tell someone that you can close million dollar deals then guess what: you probably can't and don't. I'm a lady who doesn't appreciate to waste her time, thanks! I have been with Office Team since 2005. Within those years, I've been placed in great companies, bought out (offered permanent positions) 2 times, and now due to certain circumstances on my end, I am part timing in a position that offers EVERYTHING I asked for. The longest I waited for an assignment was 2 days. And that was because 1 day was for paperwork and seeing what I wanted. They have been there for me no matter what and will back me up when necessary. I honestly believe it is very much like being in a relationship, 2 way street. You have to deliver and they will pay. If you keep in mind before heading to an assignment that you are there representing this team, you'll be fine. My reps are extremely professional so that keeps me on my toes. Their accounts are pretty amazing. They work with everything from top notch cosmetic companies to high end clothing lines. Prove that you can represent them well and they will take care of you. Natalie Dennis was my rep, she was amazing. Due to her passing, Tra Nguyen is now taking care of my placements. If you can perform and is professional, give this place a chance. read more

Just OK as Accountemps offices go. Everyone is generally friendly, and they presented me with a fair number of opportunities. They sometimes consider your preferences when attempting to make a placement. I still felt like I was dealing with a used car sales man trying to close the deal on a car I did not care for. With temp agencies, even within the same company, it really depends on how that particular office is run. I have had some four to five star and a one star experience all at other Accountemps offices (SJ, and various LA locations). This one, is a solid 3. They didn't wow me, but they got the job done. I ultimately found a job on my own, but if I needed to find work again, I would give this office another shot. read more

In the past I've had a terrible time with recruiters with their snooty pretentious jargon and general deceptive uselessness. HOWEVER, this experience has really blown me away so far and is forcing me to reconsider the profession. I registered online and followed up with a call after not hearing back for a little while. They sent me the online software/typing tests immediately and got me in for an interview at their office the next day. Everyone was remarkably friendly and professional. I met with Katie but she took the time to introduce me to her whole team as they work on a weekly rotation (placing, interview candidates, drumming up new business etc). Six days later after hearing back from my references they had placed me doing some basic data-entry for three days. That was fine as I was keen to get out and do anything. The next gig was what really impressed me though. They had actually taken into account the type of industry and experience I was looking for (sustainability-related or social equity issues) and Heather put me forward to interview for a related 6 week assignment as a Program Assistant. I don't know if I just happened to register at the right time, but there is no doubting their thoughtful effort and proactive follow up. Give them a shot. I also recommend touching base with someone in their SF office to cast your net a little wider as I had a similarly great experience on the phone with someone there. read more

The good thing about Office Team is that they're a large corporation with name-recognition, so more likely than not you're going to get placed somewhere pretty quickly. I interviewed on a Wednesday and got placement for that Friday. The agents are high-energy, fairly attentive to the "talent's " needs. And this time they didn't low-ball me with my pay rate, as the office in Sacramento had done. They are professional and fast, but you need to call them every week to make sure you get placement. They've been professional, and so far I've had good experiences with them. read more

They have the typical pitch and they lull you in by making you think they really care about their "talent" but it's not true. They deal in mostly corporate jobs, so if you're a creative you have to be comfortable not working in a creative environment. The worst was the "check-ins". They were constantly calling to see how things were going. Not that they were going to do anything about it, but keeping up appearances and making it appear they care about you. It actually felt more like stalking. I did make the mistake of letting them know that I wasn't happy on the assignment. They listened and were desperate to make it work, but when I insisted they told me my skill set was really hard to place. Funny, because I have other recruiters who call me all the time. When I finally gave notice (over 3 weeks) and let them know, they accused me of lying - intimating that I was actually fired. They hassled one of my co-workers about background checks. Apparently they were supposed to run it and didn't. When the client found out, they tried to get permission to run it and cover their tracks. If you do work with them, make sure that you look out for yourself. read more

I have had a FABULOUS experience with OfficeTeam from day one! I interviewed with Katie and about three hours later, I got a call from Bridgette about a job opportunity and began working immediately! I also referred my younger sister, and the same day she interviewed-she was also placed! The way they staff is not just about having the experience/education or staffing a warm-body to fill the position--they fill positions with people in mind with regards to personalities, disposition, etc. The fact that they really get to know their clients and have the skills to discern applicants quickly, I feel has given them a distinction apart from other agencies by far. Several years late in writing this review, but I need to do this none the less. During the economic down-turn, I was desperately in need of work. I interviewed and did all the assessment tests then waited a week or so. Then I called them back and Larisa Bukh found me an assignment. It was supposed to be 2 weeks, but I ended working for the assigned company for about 6 months then they ended up creating a position for me and hired me on. I loved what I did and everything I learned. Larisa still checked up on me from time to time to say hello or how I was doing even after I was no longer with Office Team. She really showed that she cared about me and not just the money. I have now moved to San Diego and am hoping someone down here at Office Team can help me find my next great job. So far they haven't called me back but I spoke with Larisa and she is going to do what she can from her end. So, the whole point of this is.....Office Team can help get you in the door and this location really wants to help you get there. Advice is be....aggressive....Call them often to keep yourself on the top of their minds. Don't make them do all the work. :) Good Luck! read more

So, I thought I would give this a shot after reading all the awesome reviews. But apparently people forgot to mention the actual service of the company. I was refereed from the office in Concord as I live in Oakland and wanted a job closer to home. I called repeatedly for a week trying to get a hold of someone. I never did. So then finally I leave an email, saying forget I won't bother and then I get an email telling me that they don't have a job that would fit me which was funny as their was jobs that stated no experience would teach and all that as well as Admin experience which I had. It came down to my typing capabilities which showed I can type 90 wpm. I was then sent a test called Prove it, and it proved to myself that yeah I'm qualified but I've yet to receive an answer or an explanation from them so I'm through with this company. I'm still a bit sour about that. So no I don't recommend this job agency at all. I'm returning back to Kelly Services at least they managed to get me a job! read more
