My experience at Dr. Freed's office has been great. The receptionist - didn't get her name, but a lady with glasses and a bob haircut - is SUPER nice. Which is refreshing because the majority of medical office receptionists are cranky and always seem annoyed whenever they have to do their job. My wait was about 5 minutes before I was called in. Dr. Freed was very attentive to my concerns. i was very concerned about RA but he told me right off the bat that's not what it is. He had me do a blood rest to be sure. He diagnosed me with tendonitis, referred me to a physical therapist, and gave me some cortisone shots. With the therapy and shots I am feeling much better. He does come off as a big serious but once you start talking to him, he's super nice. Highly recommend! read more

If you lookup "doctors who don't care about patients" in the dictionary, this guys face would be at the top of the list. My mom saw him for a little over a year because he was geographically close and convenient but this guy is a joke. During every visit, he would mutter a few words, jot down some things and than administer the Rheumatoid Arthritis drug (in my mom's case, Remicade). If I asked him a question regarding medication or treatment, he would give me one or two word answers and look at me with annoyance. He is a horrible doctor and I definitely would not recommend him to anyone. Did I mention he almost killed my mom by leaving her unsupervised while she went into anaphylactic shock because of the Remicade? Thank God I was there with her that day to grab him from wherever he was and I had to yell at him to do something. She was rushed to the ER after he gave her some steroids and benadryl. Luckily she recovered but we never went back to him again and you shouldn't risk it either. read more

Wow. Worst. Doctor. Ever. If your insurance refers you to him, ask for a different one. He's not knowledgeable about rheumatology at all. He made me wait half an hour, then examined me for literally less than a minute. My right knee is swollen on an unrelated issue, and he didn't even notice! Then he essentially called me a liar and said I have never had the condition I came to him for (despite a diagnosis by Seattle Children's Hospital years ago by one of the best doctors in rheumatology) and shoved me out the door with a sheet of blood tests at a lab that isn't covered by my insurance. I intend to get a different referral through my insurance. He is rude, and doesn't care one iota about the medicine he practices, certainly not enough to stay knowledgeable on the latest information. One plus: his front office person, while slightly incompetent (she waited until the day of my appointment to make sure she had my insurance authorization and medical records), is very sweet. I should have looked this guy up on yelp before I saw him. He acted like he has something better to do. He ordered blood tests for rheumatoid arthritis, but said that based on my description he didn't think that was my problem. The then wrote a prescription for rheumatoid arthritis medicine anyway, even though he didn't think that's what I had. I explained that I was on medication for bipolar and asked what the side effects of this new drug were. He rolled his eyes and checked his computer. Then said that depression and suicide are side effects. I asked him if he still thought that this medicine would be good for me. He sighed like I was annoying him. He said that all medication has risks and that I had to figure that out for myself. Awesome read more

I just got back fro my appointment with Dr. Freed. His office staff is very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Freed was kind and understanding. He did not dismiss my pain even though it seems to not fit into fibromyalgia criteria, thats good news. He ordered some blood work and wanted to see the reports from other Drs. This doctor, if that's what you call him should absolutely have his license revoked. Lazy uncaring and completely blind to what's going on around him. Treating a 70 year old and not running bone density tests regularly for over 2 years as he should have been doing all along. After visiting a new doctor he pretty much called this guy an idiot for not adhering to his code of ethics for ensuring what's best for his patients. We come to find that the medication he prescribed for my mom for the last 2 years is absolutely, unequivocally doing nothing to mediate the bone density issues. He should have been testing regularly to ensure it was doing what it was supposed to do and he didn't. Thank god I found someone new that takes their practice and patients health more seriously. Now she is going to have to take injections daily for god knows how long since this guy after putting me on a 6 month regimen of Prolia never bothered to check to ensure it was doing its job. I saw him in 2011. He answered his cell phone -twice- during our consultation to argue over a tee time. A year later, he sold my account to a shady collection agency over a $5.00 co-pay that I had a receipt for. When I called his office to clear the situation up, they refused to discuss it with me. It's 2014 and I am STILL dealing with the mess his flawed bookkeeping created. His reviews over at RateMD's are full of experiences just like mine. I think this guy is as shady as they come. I went to Dr. Freed in 2008 for arthritis. He put me on Remicade as he does everyone with arthritis according to Dr. Grossman. In two days I developed shingles which is a known side effect of Remicade. He had no on call phone number since it was a Saturday. I got hold of him on Monday and he put me on prednisone without even looking at the situation. Nothing helped and I demanded to be seen. He looked at my back and said "oh that is a bad rash" and upped the prednisone to 60 mg per day. Within two weeks I couldn't think or walk. I went to my regular internist and she diagnosed it right away as shingles. Since it was over the 3 day period from the start there was nothing to be done. She weaned me off the prednisone but the pain from the shingles was unbearable. It has been 10 years since then and I am still suffering from extreme post herpatic pain and nothing works to ease the pain. This man should have his license revoked. My insurance picked Doctor Freed for me and I must say I went in with very low expectations. I have Fibromyalgia and some arthritis in parts of my body and between the two I have chronic pain. I wasn't there for pain meds because I have bad reaction to opioids. My experience was fine. The doctor was very respectful, knowledgeable, and gave me advise of things to do so I experience less pain. I was satisfied with my care and I went back for follow-up visit. That visit was very good too. This time I was prescribed a medication to help. I have to say the front office staff is very good. So often, in my experience, I have had excellent doctors but the office staff is so incompetent that it's not worth continuing my care with that Doctor. So overall I am very satisfied with Dr. Freed and I would recommend him. read more

Like other reviewers, this doctor seemed to not care at all about my issues, and did not seem very knowledgeable about autoimmune conditions (which is why I was referred to him). I told him about a myriad of health issues I was having (tingling/numbness, dizziness, weight loss, bruising, blood clots, purple discoloration of limbs, etc), and he said, "Well, it doesn't sound like rheumatoid arthritis". Um, duh? He prescribed me a sleeping pill after I told him I sleep excellent. He also said ALL of my problems were due to stress, which is an absolute cop-out. This is my first review but i felt it was necessary. I had the worst experience over the phone. I won't leave a name but she was very unpleasant. She put me on hold twice while I was still talking. She also, had to tell me how busy she was, that every phone was ringing and it was friday morning. It felt like she was another hold to hanging up on me.
