I had a 10:30 appt and was called to see about doing a 10am. I got to my appointment and waited for about 46 mins to get to a chair. Once in the chair, they were going to do a new patient exam which was X-rays, checking pockets, receding, movement of teeth and cavities. It was already at about 12:19pm when they were done and I was on time crunch to leave for work. I was told to go to the front and wasn't made aware that my teeth were not going to be cleaned that day and scheduling is 2 months out. Also, seemed like everyone was headed to lunch at that time and the staff was trying to learn a new computer system which also took time away. I also needed to schedule for fillings and extraction of my wisdom tooth which is said to be impacted. I've honestly never been to a dental office where you're a new patient and they do the exam and no work is done, especially a cleaning. I'm now having to wait a year almost to get a cleaning . I'm not sure at this point if I should look else where, but since I saw the dentist for the exam and no cleaning, not sure if my insurance will cover if I went elsewhere read more

If you have to go see a dentist, Dr. Lombardo, and his amazing staff are the place to be. I just had a tooth extracted, and I feel like a million bucks. Many dentists try to up-sell and then make you feel bad when you tell them you can't afford their treatment plan. Dr. Lombardo provides several options from the exorbitantly priced to what is most cost effective for you. Went in for a fix on a broken tooth and left confused with a treatment plan that was for over $10,000 and to top it off they feel it is their duty to manipulate patients for work schedules for unnecessary dental work that do not address the patients needs that only benefit themselves by way of the cash register and not the patient. Sad. Do I need wisdom teeth extracted and many crowns (when a second dentist has subsequently confirmed that it's not required or necessary). Very sad. Too money oriented for my taste. Gentle, (I'm a chicken!) Totally up-to-date equipment. Good & Plenty (pun intended) of parking availability. Reasonable and fair rates, accepted my Health Insurance. I'd drive MILES to visit this office, Morongo Valley Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree and 29 Palms TOO! Visiting The Joshua Tree National Park, cracked a tooth, dropped a filing, You will not regret it. Dr. Kim and Dr. Lombardo are both awesome! From the minute I walked in to make my first appointment, the entire staff was welcoming, and kind. I forgot her name, but she did my teeth cleaning, and usually that means pain, but not this time. Everyone who worked on my teeth was super gentle, and listened to my concerns- even if some of them may have been silly. Dr. Kim did my initial appointment, he has a great personality, and he's very polite. He actually explained everything that was going on, in detail. Not like other places where they're like I'm the dentist, you should trust me, the end. I haven't had a chance to have him work on my teeth yet due to my schedule, but I would be happy to have him do that. Dr. Lombardo did my fillings, he seems like a sweet person. HE LET ME LISTEN TO MY IPOD while he did his drilling because I told him the sound of the drilling is what freaked me out so much. SO accomodating. The sweet lady assisting him even double checked my allergies before starting anything *bonus points for that!! You would think that's a common sense thing, but you'd be surprised. Anyways, he did my fillings, and since i was numb I told him I was pretty sure i could bite okay. Over the weekend, I realized, not so much - it felt off. I called them on Monday morning, and I'm sure if I called them earlier and I wasn't already at work, they would have gotten me in that day - they gave me an appointment first thing the next morning with Dr. Lombardo. I was in and out in like 15 minutes? With my bite fixed. I cannot recommend this office enough!!! I'm going back for my other fillings, and I'm not even going to take an anxiety pill :) YAY! read more

I've only been living in the desert for a year and half...so when I had a toothache I was a lil bit concerned. The last time I went to a dentist was in Los Angeles circa 2006. I should add that I dread going to dentists. I was MORE than pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this office. It's right in the center of town on a side street, and the sign out front says "WE CATER TO COWARDS!" My kind of place. The office is seriously immaculate. I used to live in L.A and my old dentist office was near Rodeo Dr. in beverly hills and it was outdated and quite frankly dingy. This place has brand new everything, from nice leather reclining seats, cool cabinets,to modern equipment -digital cameras etc... The staff are all very helpful and nice and often wear fun matching dental shirts. I have always gone to Dr. Kim, he's a fun easy to talk to guy who is very knowledgable. He will even call later to make sure everything is ok after your visit. Patients will also be surprised by the amazing views from the exam windows. Beautiful patio for family to wait for you, as well as Joshua trees and desert landscape sky view. The satellite radio was way better than my old dentist who only rocked the old elevator music. This place was playing cool indie- new music. I have had a bunch of things taken care of in the past few months, and the office is always good about getting you in on time and taken care of. After a routine cleaning, I left with a stunning white smile. read more

It saddens me to give a two star review. I happen to think and feel that Dr Lombardo Is one of the best dentist. He is fair, honest and legitimately concerned about his patients. However - when making an appointment- I gave my new insurance information to make sure that it was covered. Was told I am covered for 2 of the 3 things being done. I paid the third at my appointment. After having my procedures - I received a letter from the insurance company saying that ALL claims were denied. When I called back to speak to the billing person - I was attempting to explaining what I was told by the insurance company why payment was denied. It was due to coding and some procedures are covered and some are not. Isn't that the purpose of being preapproved before your appointment. As I'm talking to the billing person. (Later finding out she is also the office manager). Saying to her what they will pay or won't pay. Explaining what I was told by the insurance company. Then Ms. Ranelle cut me off and said- Fine then they will write off the remaining balance and I can go find a new dentist.!!!! That was not the purpose of my call whatsoever. Unbelievable-- I value Dr Lombardo. This is soooo unfair !!! I hope Dr Lombardo reads this and reaches out. Very sad and disappointed this is how it was handled! read more

My experience with this dental office is 100% +++ satisfaction. I had to finally get dentures and then 4 mini implants just yesterday. It is an absolute miracle that Dr Lombardo was able to do what he did for me, and give me a beautiful smile again. Everyone who works here, from front desk to assistants etc, are just fabulous and show all the traits you would hope and expect from your dental office. My family will go nowhere else. Very disrespectful stuff, no personal approach at all. Looks like people in this clinic care only about filling in their papers correctly and following their own procedures instead of providing high quality services to their patients. I informed the stuff several times that I cannot do Xrays due to my medical conditions (note that I had Xrays in this clinic a year ago and Xrays in other clinic less than 2 months ago. I had enough radiation!). However, I was told that if I don't want to do it again I can go home. I was talking to some receptionist. The doctor even didn't care to talk to me and listen to my concerns. I will never retutn to this clinic again! Very disappointed! read more

Seriously, this place is the best! Everyone in there are absolutely friendly/amazing, and I never thought I'd love a denist clinic as much as I do this. They were so reasonable with the price and my situation. At the time, my insurance doesn't hit the system until 2 weeks later, so they told me that they'd help me in any way they can so I can wait out those 2 weeks. Dr. Lumbardo filed down one of my wisdom tooth because it was way too sharp and it was poking at me. It made such a difference. Then 2 weeks later, I went in to get all four of my wisdom teeth out and they did a great job. Dr. Lumbardo is amazing at what he does, and the staff's there are well educated. This dentist and his staff are the best. I have been a patient or customer for years now. The first time I visited them for a cleaning my hygienist (Ginny) discovered an removed a piece of plaster all the other dentist had missed since I had braces as a late teen. That plaster had been causing me pain and a scrapping sensation, but no one notice it or removed it in all my other dental visits. I was like the lion with thorn in my paw, and she removed the thorn. This office is the BEST!!! They are ALL kind and gentle. Dr. Lombardo has worked with me in the past when I need extensive dental work done and my insurance had ran out. In an emergency they have always worked me right in. The staff is so friendly and welcoming everyone into the office. When I was receiving physical therapy, Dr. Lombardo even gave me ice packs to relieve the soreness!!! This place gets a 5 star from me!!! read more

I go here my Dentist is Dr.Kim. He is awesome, and super gentle! I was looking for dentist reviews everywhere online, I couldn't find too much for the Yucca Valley area. So I went to Dr.Lombardos by chance....It was a good choice I have already been here for about two years and have been here many many times (at least 10 in these last two years!) Besides Dr.Kim...The ladies up front are extremely nice and informative, especially Lynn (I think that's the spelling. Anyway I don't have insurance and in my opinion the prices are too steep...Hope this helps read more

Let me start by saying I do not favor the dentist. I had seen a DDS in Yucca Dr.Huff whom quoted me with 5 crowns and many cavities. Over $5,000.00 of work this was 2.5 years ago after not going to the dentist for 8 yrs. I bit the bullet and started with my first crown paying $1,500.00 only to wait 2 weeks with a temporary that was too high causing pain and to be sent to Dr. Worm down the hill to mk sure I didn't need a root canal before putting my crown on after all this I was told I did need the root canal. I said no. Drove back to yucca to hv my crown put on and never returned(2.5 years ago)....I went to Dr. Lombardo a month ago I was quoted for all my cavities but find it funny I need no crowns as Dr.Huff stated. I am almost done with my treatment with Dr Lombardo 4 appointments in now since I needed a lot done...HE IS AMAZING. Nice, Caring, Sensitive, and HONEST!!! I am a military wife and have been avoiding the dentist for the past 3 years. I have seen several dentists in different states and my anxiety and dislike for the dentist has held strong until I came to Yucca Valley. My husband had been hounding me to go to the dentist and after researching Yucca Valley and surrounding areas I made an appointment with Dr. Lombardo. This was by far the best decision I could have made. I've never been so comfortable and confident in any of my dentists. Dr. Lombardo is very knowledgeable, likeable and gentle. His equipment is up to date and everything is very clean. Him and his staff create a relaxing anxiety free environment. I don't even need my ipod for my teeth cleanings! They are amazing! He told me that I would eventually need a crown on one of my teeth but would probably be okay for a couple years. I told him that it's a must that it gets done before we get stationed elsewhere because I know that I'll never find another dentist like him. You must go here. You will not regret your decision. Beware the "TOOTH NAZI!" I chose to go to Dr. Lombardo's office when I developed a sudden toothache & my dentist was out-of-town. At first I was impressed with the technology . . . including 2 hour crown appointments on site. Everyone was friendly except Cindy . . . to get a rough quote from her is like "pulling teeth" (pun intended.) Dr. Lombardo's office wanted to remove the crown, deep clean my entire mouth (please note I had just had a standard quarterly cleaning a week prior), build-up the tooth & set a new crown. I had made them aware of the current drastic change in my financial condition even though I have Delta Dental there is a 70/30 split. Dr. Lombardo's office refused to guarantee their own crown if I only had the deep cleaning done on the quadrant which encompassed the tooth in question. An unnecessary deep cleaning of my entire mouth doubled my co-pay. They look at the "whole mouth" = we want more of your money. I returned to my dentist where there was no need to remove the existing crown, only 3 teeth were deep cleaned and I rinsed with a special mouth wash. I am pain free and the cost $21.00. The kicker, when I went in to Dr. Lombardo's to sign the release for the full mouth x-rays (another unnecessary detail) for my dentist to receive same it noted I could NEVER RETURN to the practice again. Really? This is standard verbage. Are you kidding me? Is this AMERICA or ? Can I choose to go to any dentist I want or ? Broke a crown and just moved to town. Based on Yelp reviews, tried this dentist. What a pleasant surprise!!! They got me in after I called...30 mins...filled out initial papers and right on into a chair. They were able to glue the crown back in place. Total of 1 hr and I was back home and they charged a very fair price. My alternative was to drive 8 hrs round trip and gas money to go back to the dentist who had not glued it well when he installed it 1 month ago!!!! I now have a new dentist with this group and so does my wife! Cannot thank them enough for efficiency and fair pricing. I also echo others that the staff is really cool as is Dr Lombardo who attended me. Also thanks to my fellow Yelpers for such accurate reviews that led me to this dentist. I just received probably the worst customer service I have ever received from any business in my 43 yrs. of life. I received a letter stating I owed money. The letter didn't provide dates of service, whom was serviced or services provided or anything. When I tried to call and speak to the office manager she was extremely rude. She wouldn't let me speak and kept cutting me off. Prior to this call, I had not once received a letter or a phone call. The letter stated it was past due 90 days and I also owed them a finance charge. When asked why it didn't provide any detailed information, she responded she wanted to get my attention. Well...how about giving me a call or sending a letter within the first 30 days? That always gets MY attention. When I tried to ask when I would be contacted regarding resolution she said I could just wait for a letter from the insurance company. Sadly, i've had issues with this business several times over the last 6 years. This isn't even a provider of my choosing. It is a provider I have to deal with because I provide insurance for my step children. I guess because I'm not a direct customer then I don't deserve to be treated kindly or professionally. A business is only as good as their staff and how they treat customers. Sadly, this one is failing miserably. read more

My Dad just left the hospital after a 90 day stay for a severe hypoglycemic attack. During his stay at Desert Regional they mistakenly threw his teeth away and said that it wasn't their problem when we tried to resolve the problem. So my Dad was lethargic and we were only checking in to get an idea on pricing. Unfortunately my car was overheating due to the heat in July, so I had no choice but to leave him there and go get the car dropped off at the mechanic. Upon my return they had my Dad in the chair working on a mold and had his bill all nicely established at about 4k within one hour. I was surprised but my Dad said he wanted it so we went ahead. Then my Dad found out he had to get teeth pulled and he got scared and declined. We decided to not move forward, but Lynn decided to bill him as if he had shiny new teeth. She said she would credit his account, never did... I called and she avoided me... I finally said I would protest the entire bill as they had not done anything except bill him in full. In my opinion, dr. Lombardo May do good work but his office manager needs some ethics training and she should know that people aren't going to fall for the " I can't hear you " on the phone trick... Hopefully she doesn't try to take advantage of every old and unfortunate old person. read more

After speaking to the staff of Dr. Lombardo's office and told them we had dental records. We went through a lot of trouble getting these records, but obtained them. Due to an emergency at home,(water leak) I sent my wife by herself to the appointment we made for her with Dr. Lombardo. My wife brought digital quality X-rays and we wanted to see if Dr. Lombardo was able to help my wife. The receptionist told my wife "You Will get X-rays here". (What? Bait and switch) I personally spoke to the staff and never agreed to X-rays and told them we would be bringing our records. The staff made the appointment knowing this fact. Needless to say, my wife made the right decision and brought her records home with her without obtaining X-rays from Dr. Lombardo. When my wife told me what happened, I drove to The dentist office so that I may have a word with him. He could not speak to me and I left my information in order for him to reach me. 2 days and no call. No doubt Doctor Lombardo and his staff will read this and I say to them. Doc, your staff is a reflection of you. If you really care about your patients, is it too much to ask for 10 minutes of your time to spend with a prospective patient that was seeking your professional course of treatment? What about returning a request for a phone call Doc? I would like to thank you and your staff for not allowing us to make the mistake of doing business with you. read more
