Collectively, they have anger management issues, destructive narcissism, depression, a seek-to-destroy mentality, imbalanced neurotransmitter issues, and promote obesity and ill-health overall. I wish it weren't true. But, they honor complacency over excellence and reality, let you down when you start to gain real health, and fear people who have high hopes and dreams for the future. Also, watch out for their gaslighting, especially when--or if--you are going through a tough time. Both of my prescriptions were denied refills after my medication wasn't at the pharmacy, and I was being intentionally led on for them to find something to use against me. Even though agreements were made during the last appointment for my medication to be at the pharmacy, I had to call multiple times because the medication wasn't there--leaving me hopeless, abandoned, and in a very serious predicament. I worked with them for almost two years and felt deserted and set up to fail while not drinking, smoking, or messing with my dosages/living a healthy life/and very goal oriented--just for example--which was a one-sided effort, much like the services offered. They are a toxic group. There are significant issues with the this industry, as well as concerning situations that occur behind closed doors.

Updated on 01/29/2024 After a billing department employee…read morecontacted me and made an attempt to fix the misdiagnosis-related issue, I decided to update my review. I value the apology and assistance they provided to enhance our experience. I am very disappointed with Darien Immediate Care. I took my son there due to a shoulder injury and he was taken in for an X-Ray. PA Erin Berman read his x-ray and misdiagnosed him having a broken collarbone and dislocated shoulder and informed us to go to the ER ASAP. When the ER doctor read these same x-rays, I was informed that only my son's collarbone was broken, but his shoulder was not dislocated. However, the ER doctor nevertheless was required to take additional x-rays at this point to confirm the diagnosis that the shoulder was not, in fact, dislocated. Therefore, my son did not need to be rushed to the ER and could've received urgent care for his collarbone with a follow up with an orthopedic doctor. As a result, in addition to what this facility billed us, we incurred additional fees and costs for the ER visit and additional x-rays, and spent additional time agonizing over the injury. Therefore, I requested to speak with the office manager regarding my billing, who promised to call me but never did. When I spoke to the billing department, they refused to transfer me to the office manager or share contact information and refused to adjust my bill in any way. While I have no issue paying for medical services, I do have an issue incurring unnecessary additional fees and costs due to the misdiagnosis. If my son was diagnosed properly in this facility, we wouldn't have had to go the ER and he would walked away with a sling, which is the recommended treatment for a broken collarbone. This is also my second negative experience with this facility. During a prior visit, we saw PA Anum Haq who diagnosed my son with an ear infection; however, PA Anum Haq then failed to timely send the required prescription to the pharmacy, which delayed my son's healing and caused him more pain. I will never go to this facility again, and will share my experience where possible so that other families do not have to incur unnecessary additional expenses when money is already tightly budgeted for most.

I saw Dr. Thakadiyil who is an outstanding provider and after thoroughly examining me, she ordered COVID, flu and RSV tests which have come back negative. Having been here before, she knew my medical history and prescribed inhalers for me and ordered a nebulizer treatment. I left feeling much relieved that I had been examined and had a plan to help. Melissa, the medical assistant, was thorough with her vital checks and made sure I had my printed out summary of care when I left. Great place to go when not feeling well. Our family has been going there for quite a while and we feel they are a very caring and professional facility. It is our "go to place" for care. Lorna Schutz

I've been a patient of CR medical group for about 22 years now. Maybe more. I have been going to…read morethis practice since it was located on Rte 30! I'm leaving a review because I'm upset and disappointed by my most recent experience at this medical group. I scheduled an appointment, which did not have to be same day, but they mentioned there was openings as early as 11am today (06/08/26). I ended up waiting over 70 minutes to be seen by the doctor. A 30 minute wait I would understand, but an hour and 10 minutes is crazy. Especially on a weekday that I need to be at my job. When the physician, Dr. Catherine McDoniel, entered the room, she acknowledged I was at the window looking out. I politely mentioned I was checking out the views because I've been waiting for a little bit. Instead of acknowledging the concern, she responded in a way that I felt was dismissive and confrontational, asking, "What did you expect? You booked the appointment same day?" and suggested I go to urgent care instead. I remained respectful and simply explained that I had expected to be seen closer to my scheduled appointment time. The interaction continued to feel defensive, and I ultimately left crying without receiving care. I asked the front desk to refund my copay, which they were able to take care of and apologized for what happened. After I left the building, the front desk called me again apologizing for what had happened. The front desk staff were kind and professional, but the physician interaction was upsetting and left me feeling unheard and disrespected. And I left without the medical attention I needed. I believe the multiple apologies I've received over this incident is important to note as it confirms this encounter was problematic. I do not recommend Dr Catherine McDoniel.
