I would hands down no hesitation recommend her or her husband they both value their customers in every aspect. The office stays clean, keeps good magazines, very thorough with the patient care and treatment. I've never had an issue except when they retire because I know nobody will be as wonderfully genuine and knowledgeable and honest as this office across the board have been!

Plus all of the staff are friendly and helpful. I recently had a problem with my right eye which scared me. I woke up with sticking and tears streaming from my eye and I had problems seeing clearly from that eye. I thought it would soon go away but it didn't, it actually got worse. The following day I went into Thompson Eye Care but Dr Gerald wasn't there so I saw Dr Kathryn. She was super helpful and gentle with my eye. She ran thorough exams and explained everything she was doing. By the time she was through my eye felt a bit better and she called in prescription which I picked up that night and I was told to return the next day. The following day my eye felt better but still had the same symptoms this time I saw Dr Gerald who greeted me and told me Dr Kathryn apprised him of my problem. He ran a couple tests and took photos and he explained what he was seeing. He asked me some questions which made me realize that I had wiped my eye with a tissue and it scratched my eye. This caused the discomfort and an infection. This is the reason I have been coming to this place for my eye care. This father/daughter team is super able to make me feel taken care of. Over the years I have had my eye problems handled effectively, they are both patient and helpful. I actually know a couple of neighbors who also come here and they both love their services.

Since this was a follow-up with the same doc, my experience was not super complicated. Overall, I thought the doctor had pretty good bedside manner (well, chairside manner). I'm not sure if the was newly minted, but I thought it was a bit odd/interesting that they said "that was my bad" when they realized that they wanted me to take my medication longer than what they prescribed. I thought this location was pretty clean and well-maintained. Also, the staff was very nice. Unfortunately, this location does not have it's own parking, so definitely check out the prices of the public parking garages. There is street parking but from what I remember the max time is one hour...at least for the street parking directly across the street from the office complex. I'm currently in the market for a new eye specialists since I recently moved to the area. However, I think that I might give them a shot as my primary eye care specialist at least for my next annual eye exam.

This doctor does not care what his patients want. My wife had a procedure to remove skin from her eyelids. We were willing to pay but after the eye test were told insurance would cover it. After the procedure it did not look like enough skin was removed. We thought the swelling had to go down. This doctor said all the swelling was gone and he only removed what insurance would feel was necessary. WHAT??? That's not what was requested. It's the same procedure with a little more skin removed. What an idiot. Does she now have to get another procedure and pay out of pocket?
