Had two root canals done with Dr. Brennan, both had to happen right before going on long plan trips. They were able to see me the same day or next day and get the procedure done the next. Holding your mouth open for 40 minutes is not how we like to spend our day, but absolutely no pain during the procedure . He carefully outlined everything prior to the procedure and explained every step during the process. He checked in every few minutes to make sure I was doing OK, very caring and offered something stronger for pain after if I needed it-"just call". A couple of Advil (which was preventative) and I was good to, no pain after. I was out of there in an hour. I am not anxious about dental work, but if you are, you will be in great hands. So the saga continues. After the smoke cleared, Brennan sent a final invoice for about $450.00. Invoice was dated 10-16 and noted payment due by 11-16 (typical 30 day cycle). Consistent with his bedside manner, Brennan's business acumen ain't far behind. This morning (10-23) I get a call and text from Brennan's office asking for immediate payment of the final bill. Even though the invoice clearly stated 11-16 due date, Brennan pushed his minion's to extract early payment. I reminded them the invoice included a due date of 11-16 and payment would be submitted on or before that date. Guess Brennan's cash flow is equal to his professions skills...low. read more

Dr. Brennan was a life saver! My problem occurred in the middle of the holiday season, Dr Brennan squeezed me in and addressed a severe bone infection. He followed up with me personally as well as his staff. They were all so kind, patient and professional. The office is friendly with state of the art equipment. I recently had a fairly involved root canal. Dr. Brennan and his staff did a great job in making this experience manageable. He informed me of what he was doing moment to moment and checked on my pain level consistently. He provided excellent aftercare instructions. Let's face it, no one want to get a root canal, or two :( My regular dentist, Dr C.S referred me to Dr. Brennan because he suspected a problem that I might need a root canal. Dr. Bennan's office was able to get me in the same day. Unfortunately, I did indeed need the root canals. I was scheduled for two days later. The office staff was very complete in explaining the insurance and co-pay, which were extremely reasonable, IMO. Dr. Brennan was very attentive during the procedure, frequently inquiring how I was doing. At one point he asked if I wanted to take a few minutes break. (I did). He explained as he went along how the procedure was going. He uses a newer machine "Gentile Wave" to clean the roots. It is supposed to produce a better result. I hope so. I hope that I do not have to get anymore root canals done. But if I do, I will defiantly go back to see Dr. Brennan. read more

I have a lot of dental phobia and claustrophobia which makes me extremely anxious having people work so closely in my face and not being able to close my mouth. Dr. Brennan is a wizard. I had a great root canal experience. I didn't know that was possible! I felt no pain and the procedure was quick (actual procedure was well under an hour). I was in such good spirits after the procedure (I was in so much pain when I got there; lesson learned to go to the dentist more frequently) that I stuck around to talk with Dr. Brennan about all the tools and tech that helps him do such a stellar job. Nobody WANTS to be in Dr. Brennan's chair, as root canals aren't high on anyone's list as a fun time to be had. However, if you must get a root canal, nobody would want to be in anyone else's chair except Dr Brennan's. He did amazing work. He warned me that the area could remain sensitive or painful for quite sometime after the procedure, but all pain had subsided in less than a week. I've had two other root canals that were anything but seamless as the one Dr. Brennan preformed. I was given a sedative prior to the procedure, he explained everything that he was doing to further quell my anxieties, I felt no pain and very little discomfort. Today i had to see Dr. Brennan for a terrible toothache that needed a root canal. This was my first root canal and I was terrified because I've only heard horror stories about them. My experience was nothing like i feared, in fact it was the complete opposite. The entire team made me feel comfortable, Dr. Brennan walked me thru the entire procedure and during he made sure to check on my comfort and pain regularly. Doctor Brennen was recommended to me after a cavity filling wasn't feeling right post procedure. He tested me and gave me some xrays which concluded that my tooth root was dying. His "bedside manner" is intelligent and compassionate. A root canal is never pleasant but he and his staff were informative, prompt, understanding and helped make the whole process as pain and anxiety free as possible. What a pro! Very satisfied with the treatment I got just today. why 4 stars out of 5: The office is really outdated, and not clean. The restroom was dirty and had stains all over the floor. I am a picky person, and I love clean nice offices, specially doctors office HAS to be clean. The X-ray robe is far from being called clean, yellow collars makes it disgusting. I'm actually writing this review for their office as well, hopefully this will make them realize that something has to be done about the cleaning. If you are not picky and care only for the treatment, this office and Dr. Breannan is the best to go with. read more

If I could give Dr. Brennan 12 stars, I would! He is absolutely fantastic! I had a horrible toothache over the weekend and my general dentist said I needed a root canal. He got me into his office at 4pm that same day and stayed late to do my root canal. His bedside matter is one of the best I've ever had in a dentist. He talked me through the entire procedure and explained everything in detail before he started. He also checked in with me during the entire procedure and kept asking me if I was doing okay and allowed me to take breaks if I needed it. His new gentle wave machine is so incredible for root canals and I believe he is one of the only Endodontists in the area to have this. Dr. Brennan also checked in with me the day after my procedure to make sure I was feeling ok and see if I needed anything. If you ever need a root canal (because nobody ever "wants one") he is the only person you should ever see! Top notch specialist who truly cares about his patients. And his office staff is so great. My whole experience was outstanding from beginning to end. I only wish he practiced general dentistry. read more

Work was good. Working with me and the insurance company was not. They were not willing to reduce my bill after having paid over $1000 dollars for service. I used them as an out of network provider and my bill was $400 more than expected. I was hoping for a small break. After all they already made $1000 for the work they did which they wouldn't have had I gone to an in network provider. I take no pleasure in writing negative reviews, but I feel a responsibility to relate my story for the benefit of others. I saw Dr. Brennan yesterday (referred by my regular dentist) after a horrifying weekend of pain in one of my molars. After an initial examination, Dr. Brennan made an effort to explain two courses I had to choose between. He did so in an extremely hurried manner that did not provide me with sufficient information to make the choice intelligently. (I will mention here that I have a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, and am certainly smart enough to assimilate information that is provided to me.) When I asked a couple of questions to gain clarification, Dr. Brennan showed very clearly his impatience with me (this took all of about 2 minutes), and at least three times made comments under his breath about possibly not having time to do ANY procedure (clearly intending to convey that this was because of the time I was taking with my questions). I never did feel remotely satisfied with the information I had to decide, and while I am responsible for the final decision, I felt very much pushed in the direction of his doing exploratory work to see if the tooth could be saved (the alternative being to decide to start with on extracting it, which would have been much less expensive). He dug around for 15-20 minutes, and found that the tooth could not be saved, and for this, charged me $1212, $310 of which was an 'emergency visit' upcharge, something I've never heard of before. I was also sent home with absolutely idea what to expect as far as pain, what was in my tooth (if anything) temporarily, how to treat it, etc. No information whatsoever. This is poor practice. So, I have a couple of issues with Dr. Brennan: I found his manner to be extremely condescending and rude, very hurried, unavailable for any real discussion, and overall the most unpleasant health-care provider I've ever dealt with (which is saying a LOT). My second issue is the cost. His charges correspond to an hourly rate of about $3600/hr. I find this outrageous, especially since I felt pushed into going in the direction where he would make either a lot of money (as it turned out), or else an ENORMOUS amount of money (if he had done the root canal). I.e., there is a DEEP conflict of interest, which I don't appreciate, and which is further problematic by the fact that he would not provide me with information or time to make an informed decision. I do not feel this is an ethical or appropriate way to run a practice, and thus I must advise staying clear of him. (I have already provided this information to my regular dentist.) read more

Dr. Breenan is the best endodontist that I have been to. (I have had several root canals.) I had a tooth with difficult spiraling roots. Dr. Brennan was amazingly skilled and was able to do a perfect root canal. He is very professional and careful. He has top of line equipment like the gentle wave technology and three dimensional x-rays. This was the only pain free root canal I have ever had. I was in excruciating pain and needed an emergency root canal. My dentist referred me to Dr. Brennan who, along with his amazing staff, rearranged their lunch schedules to fit me in. I was treated with the utmost kindness, gentleness, and consideration for my pain. They repeatedly asked me how I was feeling and made sure throughout the entire procedure that I was doing okay. I honestly felt that they cared about my well being and did everything they could to make me comfortable. I cannot give them a higher rating than 5 stars but if I could I would. Dr. Brennan has performed two root canals on me. He could not have been more caring or kind or professional. The first root canal was on the last lower molar on the right side of my face...difficult to get to. He kept assuring me that if the pain were too much we could stop and I could rest...or even go home and return. He successfully performed that difficult root canal. The second recent root canal in February was so easy that I actually dozed off during the process! He kept asking me if I were experiencing pain and needed to rest. I was out of there in just over an hour and the temporary he put on lasted for a week and came off easily. Same for the previous root canal. Both times Dr. Brennan took x rays and discussed them with me. He was totally calm, kind and unhurried and stayed right with me. In the reviews someone commented that the restroom was dirty. and complained about the office. I absolutely did not see this when I visited the office of Dr. Brennan. The bathroom was immaculate and so was the office. I find no fault with the office. The furnishings may not be totally new but they are comfortable and the office is very pleasant. How many doctors have totally new furnishings? The staff is helpful and pleasant. Dr. Brennan's charge for a root canal is totally in line with charges told me by friends who have had root canals elsewhere. There is one review here from someone who is totally disgruntled. He had a root canal this February. So did I. So he has a degree in Physical Chemistry. I majored in dietetics and minored in chemistry which included biochemistry and don't think this has anything to do with Dr. Brennan. Daniel C. says that he made an appointment with Dr. Brennan after a week end of pain in one of his molars and was referred to Dr. Brennan by his regular dentist. The fact that Dr. Brennan consented to see him and fit him into what was very likely an already booked schedule says a lot about Dr. Brennan's compassion. This man says that he was sent home without any instruction about what to expect regarding pain.. Both times I was told exactly what might happen and given a prescription for pain in case I experienced pain later. I didn't experience pain later either time. Dr. Brennan himself made sure that I had a prescription for pain both times before I went home. On a scale of 1 to 10 Dr. Brennan is way way over 10. Read the positive reviews. Dr. Brennan is an outstanding root canal specialist and very kind doctor. He is incredibly precise and focuses completely on the task at hand. After my regular dentist had done a root canal five years, which failed because he'd failed to notice one canal which became infected, I developed severe pain and it turned out I had a jaw infection because the root canal infection had spread. This was a serious situation and Dr. Brennan took excellent care of me, saved my crown - which saved about $1,200.00, and put me on antibiotics prior to his treatments to ensure that his treatment would be successful. Root canals are serious infections which require a root canal specialist. Please do not go to a regular dentist for a root canal. I ended up paying twice for a root canal on the same tooth. . Dr. Brennan has far more advanced equipment and tools than regular dentist. He also found another infected root canal which had been done by the other dentist, and fixed that one , and was very concerned as I had another simultaneous medical condition. He personally took calls and took excellent care of me. I could not have asked for a better and kind root canal specialist. I am sorry Daniel had a bad experience but things must have been very out of the ordinary in his situation as I have been to Dr. Brennan's office five times and every single time had an excellent experience. read more

I have always been absolutely terrified, let me repeat myself....terrified of pretty much anyone in a "white coat". Not sure where it stems from...nothing traumatic happened to me as a child or over the years as an adult but I can remember as a kid thinking "I never want to have a dentist like Steve Martin in Little Shop of Horror". With that said, you can imagine how I felt during the drive over to have Dr. Brennan find the culprit to the pain on the right side of my mouth. I'm 36 years old and acted like a 2 year old in the car, in the office lobby, during the x-ray and as Dr. Brennan tilted me back in the chair (in what felt similar to my Teeter Hang-Up at home). To make a long story short- Dr Brennan was very soft spoken which made me feel very comfortable and brought my anxiety levels down quite a bit. He didn't make me feel at all like I had a phobia unknown to man! And most of all he didn't beat around the bush...but was gentle in his composure while telling me what I may have not wanted to hear but needed to hear. I was briefly in town and in need of a root canal. Dr Brennan called me and said he could see me that day. We scheduled a root canal based on his analysis. I have never had a painless root canal but that is what I got. He explained everything up front and recommended valium before the procedure which helped immensely.
