Dr. Patmore removed a tooth and did two root canals; one of the teeth was misdiagnosed by another dentist which I wouldn't let anyone touch it for 5 yrs. because of pain and what I thought was TMJ. Dr. Patmore has state of the art equipment and not only told me but showed me the reason I was in pain. She did a successful root canal on this previously misdiagnosed angry tooth. Dr. Patmore came highly recommended by my dentist's office. She was an hour and a half away but I was willing to drive after hearing such great things. Mind you, besides a couple of fillings as a kid and braces I've never had any major dental work done. I was nervous!!!! I drove the distance and was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Patmore's staff called to say she had finished her patient early and if I was in the area to arrive early if I like. The entire staff and Dr. Patmore greeted me with smiles and made me feel very welcomed. I was walked through what I could expect from the appointment, concerns were put to rest. The entire root canal was quick and painless. Not knowing what to expect I had a family member waiting for me in the event I wasn't up for driving. My office number is really 805-687-4747 I have to give myself a review just in hopes that whoever is reading this will be able to reach me. Yelp just keeps reposting a competitor's office phone number as my phone number. We keep correcting it which is hard to do and then it just defaults back to the same competitor's number. Yelp says they aren't doing it and the competitor says they aren't doing it either, and they should not be able to do it. It started after I politely declined to advertise with Yelp because the example they showed me showed how typing my specialty in brings up a search result, but it brought up someone who is a different kind of specialist all together so I declined because they charge by search and so that other specialist got charged for Yelp pulling up her name to show me the example of how this works. Not a seller for sure! Then after I said no thank you to the Yelp salesman, my office phone number keeps defaulting to an actual competitor's number. read more

Dr. Patmore came highly recommended to complete my root canal. When I arrived the office staff was pleasant and took the time to call me prior to make sure I was informed of co-pays, etc...so there were no surprises. Dr. Patmore introduced herself and took extra time to explain exactly what to expect during and after the procedure. She used a laminated booklet chart that depicted the tooth and why the root canal was necessary. During the procedure she checked on me and made sure I was comfortable. The whole procedure was quick and painless...in fact I was in disbelief that it was complete and I was able to leave within a hour. Dr. Patmore was so incredibly gentle, competent, friendly and gracious that besides the fact I was getting a root canal my afternoon was delightful. I understood a root canal to be a painful procedure, but I can honestly say my experience with Dr. Patmore was relatively painless, no worse than a filling. As soon as my dentist recognized that I needed a root canal, he was on the phone with Dr. Patmore, insisting she was the best, and the next morning I was having the procedure. I didn't realize until the end of my appointment that it was her day off and she'd come in only to see me. After all that she was also willing to work with me on a payment plan. It may seem like an overstatement yet it is not; Dr. Patmore saved my life! I had an old root canal gone bad with a raging infection. I was treated by a local endodontist who repaired the tooth twice, yet the infection and pain persisted. It turned out that my tooth had an unusual shape which my previous endodontist had failed to notice; therefore, his repairs failed. Dr. Patmore diagnosed the problem immediately and poured bleach down the cavity until the debris stopped bubbling up and then drilled a larger track so that she could completely fill the root canal and end the infection. First relief I had in over 6 months of treatment by my local endodontist. It was worth the 2 hour drive to her office. Thank you Dr. Patmore! read more

Lost a molar, cracked and dead. Dr. Patmore removed it and just finished placing the implant today. The entire process so far has been painless. Dr. Patmore explained the entire process, was gentle and careful with the novocain, extraction, and implant. Insurance doesn't cover this procedure, so the cost is a big issue. I checked around, and Dr. Patmore's prices were very reasonable, hundreds less than other specialists. I'm a very happy patient....and happily recommend Dr. Kathy Patmore's services. If I could give Dr. Patmore 10 stars I would, because she deserves them. I have gone to her many times over the years for root canals and other procedures. She always manages to squeeze me in the day I call if I'm in pain. She is very professional with the latest state of the art equipment. She has done some rather involved procedures on me and I never feel any pain. Plus she's much faster than other micro endodontists I've had work on me. I have severe anxiety and was so I was so scared about needing a root canal. All the horror stories about extensive dental work are not true about Dr. Patmore! My experience with Dr. Kathy was excellent. I needed to do an urgent Root canal done and fortunately I got a slot within a few days. This was my first ever root canal. She did it it so smoothly and finished the whole procedure within an hour with her cutting edge instruments. She also explained what she was doing which was so cool.
