Back in the beginning of 2021 we finally decided to cross it off of our "to do list" and get a new asphalt driveway. Being that Lovett Driveway has been in business for years...they were our first choice. Plus, we prefer to support local and you can't get more local then Lovett Driveway. From the very start, John and his team have been a pleasure to work with. First, John came out and gave us a FREE estimate (Yes, I said FREE) and within 5 business days I had the estimate in my email inbox folder. The estimate included ALL of the necessary details even right down to the actual thickness of both the base and surface layers so we knew exactly what we were getting...there were absolutely NO surprises. When I did call with additional questions they were very supportive and patient. We didn't have to pay anything until the work was completed. The crew did a terrific job and were professional and kind. We are very pleased with the results of our driveway. We sincerely couldn't be happier plus we've gotten many compliments on how beautiful our driveway looks. I strongly encourage you to give Lovett Driveway a call for your asphalt needs!!! 5 STARS all the way! ***Also, if you have the time...watch Lovett Driveway remove your old driveway because it is the COOLEST thing to watch! Ken was a ROCKSTAR with that skid steer loader!***

My neighbors' drive is also below their original & I told Lovett I wanted to avoid it. They said they would try but sometimes it wasn't possible. Never explained why. Workers moved a bunch of stuff around in my garage so they could drive equipment in it but never bothered to return to the things to the original locations. Talk to other companies before hiring this one!

When I had to take over my parents house I discovered that I needed a new roof put on the house and…read moreso I called Lyster's because I knew they were the best contractor for the job. They came to the house and worked with me to get the roof done right away . In the end they were able to do the whole roof including replacing some boards as well . They were so easy and great to work with. I got a fantastic price and so I hired them to do the job. I have never regretted hiring them to do the job and they also took the time to completely replace all the gutters too. I recently was told by another company that I was in need of a new roof and probably some boards too. The guy said that I had black mold in my attic as well. The guy was from Top Home Improvements. I had went to the Senior Expo a couple of weeks ago and they had a both there so I signed up to get a quote and roof inspection. I would never ever use that company to do anything on my house ever! The guy outright lied to me and the pictures he said that he showed me indicating that I definitely needed to get my roof replaced and have some other repairs too. In the end I showed everything to the guy from Lysters and he pointed out to me that the first pictures he had taken were of my house but the pictures he showed me of what was supposedly my with damaged shingles and supposedly some soft spots in the roof. Indicating that I also needed some boards replaced too. In the end the guy from Lysters went up on my roof and looked it completely over then said to me your roof is in great shape and he also told me that if I had a leak in the roof causing black mold to grow in there then the water leak would also have gone down to the main level of the house and I would have water spots showing up. I have no water spots anywhere in the upstairs of my home. Once again just proving that I was actually lied to. The great news was I not only didn't need a new roof at all and the one I have now is going to be fine for at least another 10 to probably 15 years. I felt so relieved because the quote from Top Home Improvement was for just under $35,000.00 ! I can assure you that if I ever need work done on my home I will never call anyone but Lyster's to do the job. As for Top Home Improvement I would never use them for any job. I'm just so angry that they outright lied to me and almost cost me a substantial amount of money that was never necessary to spend whatsoever. I guess I would say buyer beware of who you call to do important work on your home. By not getting a second opinion I would have spent a huge amount of money that wasn't really necessary at all. I have also learned that from now on before I hire any company to do work on my home I'll definitely be checking with the Better Business Bureau too. They collect information about all kinds of companies and post the reviews of what other people have had to say about the company.

Chris has years of experience and it shows in the quality of the finished project not only in concrete, but with a background in asphalt as well. My project was somewhat of a complex pour in front of my 2 stall barn and adjoining a long 50' run along an asphalt drive that was yet to be paved. Chris advised in several ways how to complete both projects for the best outcome. This was a lake property so run-off was a big consideration and Chris and team ensured the final pour accounted for that. Additionally, I wanted an angled entry from the drive side so he planned the right approaches to make a comfortable parking entry as well as tips for how to exit the asphalt and enter the concrete surface for wear and durability. It really was a great experience all around and Laroma knows how to get the project done right.

In addition, I had contracted with the for snow removal but the driver would cause damage to my lawn. Each time that I mentioned that to DeYoung, as required by my contract, the driver damaged even more of my lawn, ignoring markers and driving an entire truck length into my lawn. I decided to give notice to cancel the snow removal contract and look elsewhere for that portion of my service. Today I attempted to submit my summer contract for lawn mowing. I had signed a contract in the fall for landscaping this year. My e-mail was returned stating that DeYoung had chosen to not honor my contracts and to cease services. Why - because I let them know that their snow plow operator damaged my lawn, as required in my contract, and let them know that I was not happy? In my opinion, they were unprofessional and didn't honor their own contract requirements and were malicious in cancelling the contracts because of an issue caused by them. Maybe the nephew who took over the business needs more experience and lessons learned. To be clear, the landscaping and lawn mowing crews were amazing.
