Brandon told us he would come over to spray paint the layout before pouring and that didn't happen. It was difficult to get in touch with Brandon to talk to him about the layout, as he started digging up while we were at work and didn't respond to our calls or messages. Thankfully, we were able to get the layout modified before the concrete was poured. Once the concrete was poured, we heard nothing from him for 10 days. When we finally did hear from him, Brandon said he'd bring topsoil over for the edging and never did. There was splattered concrete all over our screen door that was never rinsed off. Less than 30 days after our concrete was poured we noticed a wire tire starting to poke through. Brandon came over on 6/19/25 to look at it and said he would have to put a patch on that spot and he couldn't get to it for a month. He since has ignored all attempts to contact him and find out when he is going to patch the area. Very unprofessional to promise a customer in writing that you'll repair your damaged product and then ignore them.

They came to the house and worked with me to get the roof done right away . In the end they were able to do the whole roof including replacing some boards as well . They were so easy and great to work with. I got a fantastic price and so I hired them to do the job. I have never regretted hiring them to do the job and they also took the time to completely replace all the gutters too. I recently was told by another company that I was in need of a new roof and probably some boards too. The guy said that I had black mold in my attic as well. The guy was from Top Home Improvements. I had went to the Senior Expo a couple of weeks ago and they had a both there so I signed up to get a quote and roof inspection. I would never ever use that company to do anything on my house ever! The guy outright lied to me and the pictures he said that he showed me indicating that I definitely needed to get my roof replaced and have some other repairs too. In the end I showed everything to the guy from Lysters and he pointed out to me that the first pictures he had taken were of my house but the pictures he showed me of what was supposedly my with damaged shingles and supposedly some soft spots in the roof. Indicating that I also needed some boards replaced too. In the end the guy from Lysters went up on my roof and looked it completely over then said to me your roof is in great shape and he also told me that if I had a leak in the roof causing black mold to grow in there then the water leak would also have gone down to the main level of the house and I would have water spots showing up. I have no water spots anywhere in the upstairs of my home. Once again just proving that I was actually lied to. The great news was I not only didn't need a new roof at all and the one I have now is going to be fine for at least another 10 to probably 15 years. I felt so relieved because the quote from Top Home Improvement was for just under $35,000.00 ! I can assure you that if I ever need work done on my home I will never call anyone but Lyster's to do the job. As for Top Home Improvement I would never use them for any job. I'm just so angry that they outright lied to me and almost cost me a substantial amount of money that was never necessary to spend whatsoever. I guess I would say buyer beware of who you call to do important work on your home. By not getting a second opinion I would have spent a huge amount of money that wasn't really necessary at all. I have also learned that from now on before I hire any company to do work on my home I'll definitely be checking with the Better Business Bureau too. They collect information about all kinds of companies and post the reviews of what other people have had to say about the company.

In addition, I had contracted with the for snow removal but the driver would cause damage to my lawn. Each time that I mentioned that to DeYoung, as required by my contract, the driver damaged even more of my lawn, ignoring markers and driving an entire truck length into my lawn. I decided to give notice to cancel the snow removal contract and look elsewhere for that portion of my service. Today I attempted to submit my summer contract for lawn mowing. I had signed a contract in the fall for landscaping this year. My e-mail was returned stating that DeYoung had chosen to not honor my contracts and to cease services. Why - because I let them know that their snow plow operator damaged my lawn, as required in my contract, and let them know that I was not happy? In my opinion, they were unprofessional and didn't honor their own contract requirements and were malicious in cancelling the contracts because of an issue caused by them. Maybe the nephew who took over the business needs more experience and lessons learned. To be clear, the landscaping and lawn mowing crews were amazing.

A year ago we got to the point where we had to do something with our gravel driveway. There was an…read moreold maple tree that had to come out in part because of the roots or making the driveway difficult to negotiate. We made the decision to excavate the stump and go with a concrete driveway and for that purpose I contacted a concrete company that had a good name. That person was fine except that I didn't have the impression that he was listening that carefully to me. When the estimate came back it included something that was considerably different from what I asked for. The second company I called was Quality Concrete and Masonry. Bryan Halder came out and my experience with him was entirely different. He is very personable and he is a good listener. He engaged with me so that I could see that he understood what I wanted. When he came back with a quote, not only was it exactly what I wanted, it was also $1000 under the other company. Quality Concrete and Masonry did a wonderful job and we were so pleased with them that I contacted Brian when I decided to use pressed concrete for our patio instead of the tiles that we were thinking of. Again, his quote was reasonable. They came out on time. They were professional and also friendly. They again did a great job and we had absolutely no regrets that we had them do both jobs for us. I have attached some photographs. Our backyard is still a work in progress but in the driveway and patio are near perfect. There's no question that we will call on Brian for any future concrete needs. I recommend him to anybody without reservation.

He then took apart the frame, fixed the problem, put the frame back on the glass and said to give it a try. All for a reasonable price. I took it home and --YEA-- it fit almost like new. On 2/28/24 or area was the recipient of severe storms with embedded heavy hail and high winds. Just east of us a tornado touched down in mostly open farmland and did extensive damage. The roof Ron's Roofing installed on our home went through the storm unscathed according to the inspector who was here today.
