I'm glad I don't deal with this company. i'd been dying to try them until I called for Bella Cera…read morepricing and was quoted $15 per square foot when the same exact thing is offered at Kaufman for $6.89. Thayer will gouge you, then tell you your home isn't worth the product. I moved to a minority city after buying my affordable home and pay taxes like everyone else, yet even though I am doing a self-install, Thayer refuses to do fair business. He's classist and thinks he's too good and the product is too good for my investment. When I sent an email for assistance with locating alternatives, he never responded. The man is flaky and doesn't even know me and doesn't know my city as well as he thinks he does to presume that the house and its people aren't worth anything. Furthermore, if he did, he'd know that I've already spent $22,000 on this renovation project and that I'm not too low-end for the engineered wood flooring of my choice. I'd never been so disgusted in my life by a business. My money is as green as anyone else's in this country and I shouldn't be treated as if I'm less than.

We were at the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store on South University, looking for flooring, and a…read morefriendly passerby said we should also try Chuck's. Re-Store's selection of flooring was limited at best, so we'd already mapped our path back to Home Depot, but decided to check out Chuck's first- Man oh man! This is the spot when you need a big project done and you need to do it quick, on a budget. It's a housing supply surplus store. They don't have a super broad selection, but *tons* of what they do have, and the prices are a steal if you can be flexible about color/style/shape etc. They're especially good for tile, flooring, vanities, sinks. In general, it's not a broad selection, but there are some solid finds. On the downside, it is way off the beaten path (possibly hard to find), and quite frankly, looks a little scary from the outside. Still, if it's what you're looking for, it's magical to find a warehouse like this! This is a raw, unpolished, construction materials store, so it is dusty, dirty, a little disorganized. You have to know what you're looking for, and how to use it. So if you go looking for it, be prepared for that :)

I love the idea of curated estate sales. I'm a big fan. I feel like some of the prices may be high, but some of the prices sometimes surprise me with their affordability. I've gotten some reasonably-priced gems and I've only been a few times. I also love how the people tending to sections will have the items you select labeled with your name and sent to the front register so you don't have to mess up your "flow" through the sale.

He did not give me a contract nor explain that prices were going to be decreased daily. I found that information out days after I delivered my 120 pieces. I hired someone to help me deliver the pieces and we counted and photographed each piece. When they paid, they approximated how many pieces they sold. How could they not know specifically?!! When I went to pick up what didn't sell, what was there was significantly less than the approximate number that was quoted with my check. A nice fellow whose name I think was John, said when I picked them up that he would tell Roy to call me about the discrepency but I never heard from him.
