So my wife and I needed to find a rental home in Hot Springs last summer. We secured a meeting with…read moreone of their realtor/brokers. She met with us and showed us a very cute home in Hot Springs near the racetrack. It was advertised as being "safe". I had sustained a brain injury earlier in the year, and had to go away to Pennsylvania for treatment/convalescence. This meant that I would have to leave my wife alone in the house for at least 4-6 weeks at a time, on at least 2 occasions. Due to the nature of my impairment, the last thing that I needed to worry about was the safety of my wife and 2 dogs. Because of my cognitive impairment, my capacity to make good decisions, especially with regard to the safety of rental property in an unknown city was frankly impaired. I explained my situation, in detail, to the broker. She assured me of that she understood my dilemma and would personally vouch for the safety of this home. I trusted her. Needless to say, our first night in the house did not go well. There was a wreck around midnight, right in front of the home with an apparently intoxicated man behind the wheel. The police came promptly but the man had left the scene before they arrived. There also appeared to be people walking past the house frequently both day and night, and with poor lighting, their intent was unclear. After a few days, it did not feel safe for me to leave my wife and 2 dogs there while I was out of state receiving treatment. So why the bad review? Well, from the very beginning I was assured by the realtor/broker that I would get at least a portion of the 2,850.00 I had paid as a down payment. I had signed a six month lease for this property, and I was therefore legally obligated to rent for 6 months. When I did talk with the broker, she led me to believe that I would receive some type of refund, but it (understandably) it would be a "partial" refund. Eventually, when I NEVER heard from her regarding said refund, I then contacted the owner. He explained his company's position, but did agree to see if a partial refund could be issued. We literally were in the house 6 nights. We left the property in pristine condition. $475/night, is the highest I have ever paid for a place to live. I am now medically retired due to this medical condition. I am clearly not impressed with this company. I feel that they took advantage of a vulnerable adult in this particular situation. Their response was to imply that a partial refund would be issued, their intent to actually work with the property owner and advocate on my behalf is questionable at best. My only recourse is to openly share my experience with them. Buyer beware!!

I was but needless to say my closing went beautifully and I was very pleased with the Customer Service. Skip ahead a few months when I began having warranty issues with the new build, and had misplaced my entire packet of information, including my warranty documents. No problem, Hot Springs title to the rescue, then I needed additional paperwork from the sales contract and simply dropped by and was assisted immediately at no charge. Now a little over a year later, I'm purchasing a lot on the other side of me directly from the property owner that needed direction on how to legally complete the transaction while protecting both of us. I called and spoke with Becca, the receptionist who has been so helpful the last two times and she's in the process of obtaining the information so I can discuss my options with my closing officer. They're a little bit tricky to find and that you either have to park out back in a lot that is not obvious from the street or find on street parking and walk-through the cool little mid-century modern complex through a courtyard to their offices, located at the back of the facility. All in all, they've been a 10 out of 10 and unless something goes sideways with this next transaction, I plan on using them for all future real estate needs. Excellent customer service!
