Having just arrived in the UK this morning, I was feeling jet-lagged and homesick as I waited for…read moremy UK colleague and her spouse to pick me up for dinner. Boy did they pick the perfect place to ditch the fatigue and melancholy! I love Thai food, but there are limited options in Denver. This restaurant was something completely new! I was lucky to have my colleague order for all 3 of us (the portions are meant to be small bites to encourage sharing as well as sampling more of the menu). Nothing disappointed. It was all cooked exceptionally well. The true test was the Pad Thai. The noodles were silky and cooked just right to avoid clumping together. The curry dishes were the ideal combination of lots of meat, some vegetables and just enough sauce to pour over rice but not so much that it feels like it's going to waste. We also enjoyed duck spring rolls, something they referred to as prawn biscuits (fantastic and totally new to me), and a spicy marinated beef dish. Service was also friendly and after dinner we walked about a block down the street to a nice little pub to finish the evening. Perfect first evening in the UK!

This place is cute. The front is all door which are all open on nice days. The drunken noddles were…read moreflavorful, never had celery in a spring roll never will again but that's just me. Overall this was probably the best food I've had in Warwick sense I've been here all week. The only reason it's not a higher rating is I didn't feel like I was welcomed to eat there in the beginning. The manager told me "you know this is Thai food." Wasn't sure what he really meant but that wasn't needed.

I didn't expect to be able to get terrific tapas just round the corner from Warwick Castle but I…read morewas very happy when I did. Catalan is pretty unassuming from the street, just a bright sign and some blackboards, on the inside however you'll find a really contemporary, clean and bright bar/restaurant there also appears to be a little garden so some outdoor eating should be possible on a nice summer day. The menu covers everything you'd expect from a good tapas place but it isn't ridiculous in scope, this helps keep the quality of the individual plates up so I'm always happy to see it. There are three categories to choose from, vegetable, meat and fish, we had some of each and all of it was presented beautifully and tasted good (the pork belly was a particular highlight). It actually spans two adjacent buildings so the full bar in the right hand side (joined in the middle by a knock through) shouldn't impact too much on a nice meal, the bar actually looks like it would be a really nice place to go and have some cocktails in the evening as well. Staff were friendly and welcoming, they have a nice relaxed lunch service there even though there were plenty of covers. Prices vary quite a lot, it appears that they are pricing to cost so a nice salad or chicken thighs comes in at around £4.50 where prawns were more like £8, you could definitely get yourself a good cheap meal here if you are on a budget. Overall well worth a visit and I'd like to go back for dinner.

The paella looked good but we were in a rush so we chose 5 tapas between two of us. Tempura prawns with a chilli jam, marinaded chicken thigh, a fig and fried halloumi salad, patatas bravas with a gorgeous fresh sauce and pork belly were all tasty and beautifully presented. The food and two pints of Spanish cider came to less than £40. The place itself was light, airy and comfortable though they could do with adding a few more songs to their playlist! Would definitely return.
