    Tayra's Quince Celebration May 2015!
    Mayra P.

After a long search for a cake for my daughters Quince I found Robbie Custom Cakes. Located just around the corner we discovered our hidden gem. From the moment we walked in we felt the professionalism and magic from Robbie. She blew us away our private cake tasting which allowed us to select the perfect cake for our event. The cake matched perfectly with our theme (Winter Wonderland) but it tasted even BETTER! I highly recommend Robbie and can't wait to buy my next cake from her.

I took a few minutes looking at the cookies displayed on the counter, then opted for an Ave Maria. It was mixed with white chocolate chips and guava chunks, topped with bits of Maria cookies, and drizzled with guava and cream cheese frosting. I received my cookie in no time. I know I said it was for a late night snack, but I couldn't help but sneak a taste...give me a moment as I'm savoring this. The cookie was soft and chewy with pieces of guava chunks, Maria cookies, and white chocolate chips throughout. Followed by the sweet flavors of the guava and cream cheese frosting. I appreciate the friendly service and I look forward to my next visit.

Came to Night Owl cookies on a Thursday evening, specifically for the Labubu cookies…read more I purchased four Labubu cookies, one chocolate chip and one Fruity Pebble. I was a little confused, because I thought the whole point of the Labubu cookies, based on the advertising, was that they were individually boxed, similar to a blind box, so that you didn't know what Labubu sticker you would get. But all four of my cookies came in the same box. Regardless, the cookies were really good. However, they were pretty bland looking. The stickers themselves were cute, but the cookies were really sloppily and poorly decorated as you can see in the picture. The chocolate chip was phenomenal, loaded with chocolate chips and I can see how it would be even better after a couple seconds heated up. The Fruity Pebble cookie would have been better had the Fruity Pebbles not been super super stale. I think $5 per cookie is reasonably priced compared to competitors. I don't know if I would necessarily be back, but it was good for what it was worth.

I LOVE what they have to offer and my go to is the plain yogurt with pistachio cream and granola or berries. Been a fan since the beginning as Belove and will continue to be now as a Aleia... Even with low sugar and less fat, people care about flavor. The vanilla yogurt is creamy and tangy, more like traditional Greek yogurt than overly sweet frozen desserts. It's not as sugary as typical froyo, but still satisfying. What sets it apart is the nutrition--low sugar, high protein, and packed with probiotics--so it feels more like a smart snack than a cheat treat. The classic size has 35 grams of protein. I ordered the vanilla in a kids size cup with berry topping and granola. Each cup comes with 2 toppings to choose from. The size was just about right for me. They do offer 3 size cups(kids size, classic and signature). They offer a good range of toppings, from fresh fruit to crunchy granola or even chocolate. The inside had a nice decor that was clean and modern. I recommend you check the hours beforehand because during the week it opens at 3:00pm and weekends at 1:00pm until 10:00 at night. The service and staff were helpful and kind. They let me sample the yogurt before I bought. Plus, there was a new flavor to try. I definitely recommend and will definitely be back soon!

I'm sure that location is still great but I was able to live without having to buy donuts for some years. Then came an impromptu trip to Margate since we saw there is a Dandee Donut Factory there. And Costco. Because why not. The time to eat donuts is now. We only bought donuts to go so I can't speak to the dine-in experience or food. The diner counter and tables looked fun to sit at. Their breakfast sandwiches sound amazing and I drooled a little accidentally looking at their diner menu. Did they always make bagels? I'm not that much of a Dandee connoisseur but I feel inspired to go back and try the bagels and their food food. The counter wasn't very busy when we walked in, thanks to two staff workers who were taking orders. Imagine my delight when we asked for a half dozen donuts and the gentleman staffer said we can choose 7. I will now miscount dozens from now on. I asked for the sour cream donuts because the shelf for them was empty (gasp) and he reassured me that they have more in the back to refill. We asked what the crunch part of the blueberry crunch donut was and he said the blueberries themselves have been prepared to be crunchy. We got 2 of those and they were the best bites in the whole box. The donuts were chock full of flavor of the blueberries and the crunch from them was the unexpected texture you want in a donut to cut through the dense dough. No wonder these donuts are one of their best selling ones. We got an apple fritter because it was massive, like a bear claw ate a stack of biscuits. The cinnamon and apple tastes were present but the dough was a little empty to me, so it left a lot of oil taste. Like it reminded you that all these buggers have been deep fried when you don't want to be reminded. The chocolate, double chocolate and cookies and cream donuts all used the same chocolate donut base which was a little dry to me but had nice cocoa flavor. It's strange but I ended up preferring some frosting to the chocolate donuts to have some moisture to the bite. With carb loading season coming up, I'll plan for another excursion to Margate to get a half dozen box of sour cream and blueberry crunch donuts! I mayyyy share.

"Oh my god- they have the fruit that's going viral on TikTok. We have to try it!" I'm not one to say no to a 15 year old for anything that's going viral on TikTok so stepped inside this adorable cafe and placed an order for the viral mango. I almost passed out when they rang me up for $18 for a tiny dessert, but I guess it is famous. They put it on a plate at the register and when I reached for it said "oh we'll bring it to you." Perhaps the handing of the pastry is part of the $18 fee. We found a table and 30 seconds later the infamous mango appeared in front of us. It took us about 3 minutes to eat and it was tasty- a hard shell, mango inside and maybe some custard. We both decided it was very good, but not $18 good. I"m glad we tried it, but I probably wouldn't get the viral fruit again for the price alone. However, I did find this cafe to be adorable and would stop back in here the next time I'm in Atlantic Avenue for other treats. Hopefully the non viral pastries aren't priced quite as high.

Pure sugar chaos, childhood nostalgia, and theatrical madness in Coral Springs…read more Walking into Cherry Smash feels like you accidentally stepped into the opening scene of Willy Wonka, right before someone starts singing and a child learns a moral lesson. This place is a local legend, and for good reason. Cherry Smash isn't trying to be sleek, minimalist, or Instagram-neutral. It's loud, colorful, joyful, and slightly unhinged--in the way candy shops should be. You half expect Charlie Bucket to walk in clutching a chocolate bar and a dream. Let's be honest about the ice cream: It's above average. Solid. Creamy. Well executed. No complaints. But that's not why people line up. You come here for the atmosphere. Walls stacked with candy. Colors everywhere. The kind of visual overload that makes adults nostalgic and kids vibrate at unsafe frequencies. And when Halloween hits? Forget it. Cherry Smash decorates like they take October personally. Seasonal commitment at Broadway-production levels. The candy selection is elite--classic, modern, obscure, and delightfully questionable. Yes, they have bubble gum cigarettes, which feel like a time capsule from an era when adults shrugged and said, "Eh, they'll be fine." It's kitschy, it's ridiculous, and it absolutely belongs here. Seating is limited, but honestly? That's part of the charm. This isn't a linger-for-hours café. It's a pop-in, light-up-your-inner-child, grab-something-sweet-and-go experience. The kind of place where standing is acceptable because you're too busy smiling anyway. Cherry Smash isn't just an ice cream shop--it's a mood, a memory, and a permission slip to enjoy something unapologetically fun in a world that desperately needs more of that.

Staff seemed like they were there just for their paychecks, and not really caring for the customer service or offering their opinion or recommendations, the night we visited there was a good amount of patrons. There's seating off the right side of the shop and a few towards the back. They have a very wide selection of ice cream flavors. I settled for a dulce deleche, and it was just ok. We ordered that, and I took some pictures and left. The interior was too much for me, personally. Way too much going on.
