I was disrespected by the owner and his son who lowered themselves into name calling and shaming. I offered to pay for what was done minus a sum to be paid after the remainder of the proposed work was in fact complete. Gave them a check with that promise written on it. At first, the son would not accept it and told me I could take it to court where he assured me that I would lose. Later, after speaking with his father, he came back with an offer to take half of what I held back, not do the work in question and be done with it. Again, he persisted in trying to convince me that what I expected would never be agreed to by them. In the end, he took my check and proceeded to tell me "Never to call him again!" and that he hoped I could sleep at night and called me an idiot. A neighbor of mine, who is a contractor, reviewed the contract and told the son that he believed that I was I was in the right. Such aggravation!

The longest part of the process was waiting on city for permitting and then the work was quick. The owner Darrin Brown, walked me through the process and answered all my questions before starting and was quick to respond during the process whenever I called with a question or concern. We had one minor issue after the installation (mostly due to weather) and when it couldn't be fixed the way it was, he had his guys come back and replace two pieces of fascia board. He personally came and walked me through it all and I could not be happier with my new roof and fascia. If you are looking for reliable, respectful and responsible, call Darmac Builders! They seemed to be go getters and they were very responsive. I actually went with them over other higher priced companies, simply because I was impressed with how they presented themselves. Unfortunately though, even though the guys were well qualified painters, our experience turned sour as time went on. After finishing the interior on job site # 1 in a reasonable amount of time, they skipped the patio roof there and started on the exterior at job site # 2. The exterior at job 2 took much longer than expected. To be fair, weather and their company's Covid complications did play a part in the delays. But on the other hand there were also days where there was a 'chance of rain' that turned out to be nothing and no work was done. There were also a few no show days, where no work was done for no particular reason. These lost days totally sucked. As the job site sat inactive, our house was all wrapped up in opaque plastic to protect the windows. We literally couldn't see anything outside. As the days dragged on and on with no progress, this became pretty irritating. Anyway, they finally got some traction and the exterior at job 2 was eventually finished. At that time, the plan was for them to head back over to job 1 and finish the patio roof. I checked in multiple times over the next few days to see what was going on, but they never started. In fact, they missed multiple promised dates for completion and all I got was excuses. After a while I just gave up. Florida Painting and Design abandoned us and the work we agreed on and they didn't appear to care. For a job that cost over $8000 total, to say that I am disappointed in how this came to a close is an understatement. Overall 3 stars. They undoubtedly do quality painting, however I actually wouldn't recommend them because of the unfinished job, missed deadlines, and lack of communication towards the end of our project.

Ara and Rach came by, took detailed measurements of everything, and then followed up with an itemized quote same day. They came by later in the week, arriving promptly at 9am and worked until past 6p to finish everything. We are thrilled with the quality of the work, and they came up with really creative solutions to fix things around our house. If I think about every handyman or contractor we've ever had do work for us, I think the White Gloves team is among the top - very competent/creative, great attention to detail, and reasonably priced. For example, Ara figured out a way to re-do a french drain on the side of our house fixing a leak no one had been able to solve. They also have a custom cabinetry business so can make you very specific shelves for a closet/cabinet.
