My girlfriends and I had a trip to Joshua Tree last weekend and booked a car service for our Saturday evening from our hotel to dinner and hot springs. Firstly, Road Runner and 4 Aces cab company work under the same dispatch so they had us communicating with both which was very confusing. I would never recommend either after our horrific experience last weekend. At our initial pickup the driver was over 20 minutes late and we missed our dinner reservation. He also didn't have a car that suited our party. He subbed out a van that did not fit all five of us with seatbelts. And when we expressed our concern to the driver himself, he laughed and said good luck getting an Uber. We had had some wine at dinner otherwise we would have driven ourselves. After dinner at our second pickup they instead sent two cars but one of the drivers was completely unsafe speeding and smelled of alcohol. We called and asked for another driver for our final destination which they could not provide so we had to find additional transportation that cost us an added out of pocket expense. This is not a dependable or safe service. I would never use again. read more

Tim the driver was super friendly and very helpful. The fare was outrageously high but they are basically the only game in town

My friend and I had a really great, and easy experience using RoadRunner Car Service. I think the trick is to order ahead to ensure there is no wait. We ordered a pick up at our house for a ride up to Pappy and Harriet's for a concert, and then pre ordered the ride home (estimating when the show would end). There and back the driver was on time, courteous, the car was clean. I'd for sure use this service again when I'm back in town. read more

Wedding shuttle, worst experience of my life. car smelled like cigarettes, driver didn't know how to work the app, picked up late and arrived late. Return ride home was not as advertised, ended up taking an uber... if you plan to hire this company for your wedding thing twice! read more

Waited 2hr for cab they Said wold be here in 45 min Called the twice still waiting Never again read more

I used this service this morning. It was a 30 minute wait. Not a big deal. Had a great driver - a little on the expensive side, but not horrible. I called them again at 2:20 pm to get another cab. At 3:05 pm I called then just go see how much longer it would be - "the driver will be there around 4 pm". Wait....??? What????? Huh??? Do you think maybe you should let someone know it's an hour and 40 minute (minimum) wait? I understand the delay - but don't understand the lack of notification when people are trying to get to places on time. read more

Super friendly and came right on time. Living in Yucca Valley good luck trying to find a Lyft or Uber.

Called to get a ride from Desert Palms Outlets. The surly dispatch officer asked if it was a mall. When I said yes, he replies "we don't do pickups from malls" and hangs up the phone before I could even ask whether we would be able to book from another address! Give your money to someone else. read more

NOT COVID COMPLIANCE Dont call this place for a ride not Covid compliance. Driver wont wear a mask. Cab is filthy inside...look like it hasnt been cleaned in awhile. No ac used, More like riding in a tweeker van with a rude driver not wanting to wear a mask then has nerve to ask for a tip. 70.00 from yucca to morongo what a rip off....Call Uber or Lyft so you dont get covid. Needs to be reported to the county read more

In Yucca Valley on business and Saturday night wanted to go get groceries. Only one Uber on my app and it was headed away. I left my alert on and it went out of service. So I called Lucky 7. Was answered right away (other businesses tend to have hold times if they're very busy). And dispatcher said a cab was nearby. He wasn't joking, the cab pulled into the driveway in 5 minutes. The drive was Tim, very nice guy. On the short drive to the store, we chatted a little. An hour later we called Lucky 7 again as there was once again only one Uber and it was not responding. Tim came back for us, and even offered to help load the groceries in the trunk. We would gladly ride with him again, and probably will since we are here for a week. Complaints about a person's looks or the age of the vehicle shouldn't discourage you. The company is quick and efficient and the driver is courteous and knows his way around. And YES -- he wore a mask. Passengers are required to wear one also. read more

RoadRunner Car Service - Taxis Near Me

I have used this taxi company around Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley 3x since December 2021. The waits can be long, but they have managed to get me where I needed to go every time. I recommend calling several hours ahead if possible; you can schedule a pick-up. read more

Being here in Yucca Valley we don't have many cab companies, but it's pretty sad When the Comes to pick you up. And you feel unsafe getting in the vehicle, The driver to pick me up look like he was homeless, any smell just as bad. And I am just so unsatisfied, and hopefully they'll read this and at least make the drivers take a bath and brush their hair, I make my kid Just an update, after months the owner of the cab company finally sent me a message telling me that they're changing the weather doing things and that they have a licensed auto mechanic servicing their vehicles in the replacing part of the vehicles in their fleet. And that I can have a 50% discount on my next ride. Are you kidding me, I go to frontier coffee house all the time, and I see The drivers, and some really cracked out looking guy working on their vehicles. I still won't use their service because there are cabs are unsafe. And the drivers make me feel uncomfortable. read more

This is a great taxi service I really needed a taxi when I was hurt and could not drive. This is the best one here. If you're in the area and need a ride around then this the place to call. Very affordable. read more

I was extremely impressed with Lucky 777 for such a small-town cab company. We were banking on Uber being available to give us a ride from Yucca Valley to the airport Sunday late morning. After seeing "no cars available" we panicked, and was referred to Lucky 777 Cab. They were exceptionally kind and understanding and made the ride happen! He calculated the cost, took down my credit card information, and texted a receipt assuring we would make our flight on time. I preferred this as a few others we called were very shady and were quoting nearly double the cost in cash only. While some may not prefer giving a credit card over the phone, it was reassuring that his driver would actually be here. That being said, we were greeted by the nicest driver (cannot remember his name), and provided a safe and comfortable drive to the airport. He turned his meter on as well, which was reaffirming of the price paid. Thank you so much for making our fabulous trip to Yucca Valley complete! Kelley read more

Mickey and the team at Lucky 777 were so amazing and helped our wedding guests get to and from our wedding venue seamlessly. The customer service from the very beginning was timely and professional. They were helpful with any and all questions, very reliable, and prompt with pick-up and drop-off times. The shuttle options and pricing was all very reasonable and they know their service areas well so no guests had issues with getting lost. Excellent service!! read more

Mickey took great care of setting up shuttles transporting around 80 people to our wedding, getting us set up with an easy and workable system to get everybody there comfortable and efficiently. Everyone we worked with at Lucky was professional and friendly, taking a potentially stressful element of the wedding and giving us peace of mind around it. read more

I've never rated a cab before, but I was blown away by our experience this past weekend. Staying overnight in yucca valley for a show at Pappy and Harriet's, we had legitimate worry about difficulty getting back late at night due to scarcity of cabs in the area. Recommended by our hotel, lucky 777 cab was quick and cheap getting us back and forth from the show. The driver did an excellent job of communicating with is and was quick and on time. He promised he would pick us up so we weren't stuck up there. He was fast and on time every time we called him, and also extremely friendly. Fantastic. read more

I've never rated anyone. But Mickey is the man! The only way to get around in Joshua tree. Great price and gets you where you need to be.

We grabbed a 777 cab outside of Pappy & Harriet's. Our destination was a mile down the rode. There were three of us and we were charged $20. The Lyft ride there was $6. read more

Late on response time, and inside the cabs is disgusting. Cleanliness is obviously not a priority for this company. Might as well stick to uber or lyft. Not impressed, not recommended at ALL! read more

First of all, Gary is so fun to drive with. We had a 20 minute drive to papy's and Harriet's. And luckily he was our driver on the way home. We felt so comfortable with Gary. I have never written a yelp review before but spent the time to sign up to tell you about this company! We just had a bachelorette weekend at a house in Yucca Valley and wanted to spend one night out. We had 18 girls that night and did not want to drive. Our original plan was to go to dinner, then bowling, then to a bar, then home. I called Mickey and he gave me his e-mail address. We ended up e-mailing throughout the entire process and he was SO HELPFUL! He had arranged for him and his men to pick us up and drop us off at each of these locations for a flat and VERY reasonable rate. CALL HIM if you need ANY service in Yucca Valley. Sidenote- our driver had an auxiliary cable for us to play our own music from our phones... SO much fun! Thank you Mickey! read more

The owner of this company got out of bed to give us a ride home on a Sunday night and he was genuinely so kind. He is committed to offering cab service to all of yucca valley+beyond and ensure that people don't have to drive drunk. I highly recommend using these guys when you're in the desert. read more

Don't count on them for a short cab ride. After waiting a while, they claimed their "one cab" broke down. 30 miles away.

wow, the car stalled, it had a huge crack in the windshield. Filthy and gross. The guy said they had to work 12 hour shifts straight through or be fired. I feel bad for them. I can't imagine this is legal read more

First of all I did take this cab service almost every week . Well this pass weekend I called for a cab and waited they never showed up . When they did they tired to charge me 10 dollars for them not showing up . So I called for a cab later on in the evening I explained the situation to the current cabdriver . She called and said they had the wrong number so it wasn't my fault . Well lo and behold I call for Cab today and they still are trying to charge me. So Mickey you have lost a customer and I will not recommend your Service ever again . Shawn is awesome read more

I was VERY HAPPY with Lucky 777 Cab service! Was in Joshua tree this weekend with a group of friends and wanted a cab to and from the bar Friday night for the 4 of us so no one had to be DD. I emailed Mickey about setting up a reservation and we settled on a very reasonable flat rate for the round trip. The whole experience was extremely reliable and professional. The driver texted me the night I booked the reservation when he was out front of our Airbnb to pick us up. The ride to the bar was great. Clean car, nice driver. While we were at the bar a HUGE storm started brewing. It resulted in the main road being closed off because of flooding. We left the bar around 12:30 and the storm was coming down hard. The bouncer of the bar told us we would most likely need to rent a hotel room for the night because the road conditions were so bad. So we were expecting the worst but our taxi still showed up (and even came earlier than expected when we called and asked if they could). Mind you, our Airbnb was about 40 mins away from the bar. Our driver's name was Tim and there couldn't have been a more perfect person for getting us home. His priority was getting us back safely so we didn't have to pay for a hotel room. Even though the roads were all pretty much flooded and the conditions were SO BAD he could barely see out his windshield because the rain was coming down so hard, he kept a cool head the whole time. To bypass the closed roads he took us an alternative route, that only a local would know. We saw MULTIPLE car accidents/cars stuck on the way home and we were very nervous that would happen to us as well. But Tim got us home safely. I am SO THANKFUL I ended up booking with lucky777 and we didn't try and drive the roads ourselves. Seriously top notch service! Highly recommend! read more
