For a business positioning itself as a luxury experience, details like cleanliness matter. This was my first Botox appointment, so I was hoping to leave feeling informed and confident. Instead, I felt like I was being talked out of the service I booked and encouraged toward additional treatments and future appointments. The consultation moved so quickly that it felt more like a sales conversation than an educational one. My injector also had to Google several questions during the appointment, which wasn't very reassuring as a first-time patient. Appearance isn't everything, but when a brand markets itself as luxury, consistency matters. Maria absolutely fit that experience--professional, polished, and welcoming. My injector, however, didn't reflect the same level of presentation or attention to detail, which made the experience feel inconsistent. After my injections, I also had to wait for another technician to finish with a different client before I could be checked out. It made the visit feel disorganized and left me sitting around after what was otherwise a very quick treatment. As I was leaving, I overheard another front desk employee rapidly listing promotions and packages to another first-time client. Combined with my own consultation, it gave me the impression that the focus was more on upselling than creating a comfortable experience. One final frustration: the appointment emails don't provide a clear email address if you need to contact the office or cancel, which made communication unnecessarily difficult. The injections themselves were quick, and I don't have any complaints about the actual treatment. My concerns are entirely about the overall experience. The space looks luxurious, but the service didn't consistently feel that way. For me, I'll continue going to Alani Skin MD nearby. I've always felt genuinely cared for there, and the experience is much more in line with the luxury atmosphere SEV is trying to create.

I was nervous about my first Brazilian but after going to Glow, not only do I know that I will keep getting them, I know I will only be going to Glow for this service. Unfortunately, I can't remember the aesthetician's name now (it was several weeks ago that I went, and I'm due back shortly) but her manner and kindness put me at ease about the whole waxing process. There's something to be said for a woman who can put another at ease about putting hot wax on her bits and then ripping the hair off using said hot wax - but this woman was not only able to calm my fears but also kept me chatting in a way that helped distract me enough to look forward to the end result without stressing too much over the process. I ended up getting a "modified" Brazilian and was charged accordingly - not full price since I didn't get a full Brazilian. I appreciated that despite the fact that she put in so much work and time (30 minutes!! - I'm used to going in, getting the skin, hair, and wax ripped off and being off the waxing table in under 20!), she only charged me for a partial Brazilian. Many salons wouldn't modify the price according to the customer's needs, only their own. Waxing is very Machiavellian - the end has to justify the means because otherwise it can make for walking funny, in grown hairs, and embarrassment, not to mention pain. The Nufree wax is gentle enough, although I had a surprising reaction to it, I think that was more me than the product (since I've had it used on me before with no problems). The aesthetician also provided me with a small sample of lotion to help with in-grown hairs and any irritation that would arise. I was incredibly impressed with her thoroughness as well as her kindness. I'm looking forward to going back to Glow, despite the masochism of getting waxed!

I have had a Brazilian wax before with…read moreEuropean wax center and it was far better than this place and estheticians seem to hate EWC, even Jamie brought up not liking them at my Brazilian (I should have known that was a red flag, an esthetician talking bad about another one). She was friendly it was just poor service. I did a ton of research about waxing before I ever got a Brazilian and I could tell Jamie was pulling the wax way too early before the wax was hard enough which caused the wax strip to rip into pieces as she was pulling it which made it super painful. She did not place the wax correctly in the way my hair grows which resulted in a ton of hair breaking off instead of being completely pulled out. I know it's normal for some hair to still be present... she left a ton of hair. Then I go home and an hour later my vagina is completely swollen and itchy with bumps on the inside. This has never happened to me. When I reached out and made a complaint I was told I would not be getting a refund and they basically blamed me saying it was because I waited too long and that I've only had one wax before so basically I don't know what I'm talking about. It is recommended to come to a Brazilian with your hair longer than a grain of rice and better when it's grown all the way out so your hair is at the end of its growth cycle (so the hair follicle can be pulled clean out because it's at the end of its growth cycle) they basically told me my hair was too long and dense. So you're the professional, if you felt my hair was too long why didn't you trim it? You're obviously uneducated on how to perform a proper Brazilian and need another training course. Maybe from European wax center....That place you hate.
